This Christmas I made oatmeal cookies and instead of raisins I added dried cranberries and white chocolate chips. They were a HUGE hit. My mom (who made regular oatmeal cookies) said that they were her new favorite cookie. I used quaker's oatmeal cookie recipe and took out the cinnamon and nutmeg and added in what I thought were good amounts of craisins and white chocolate chips. I want to say I used half a bag of craisins and a 12 oz bag of Nestle White Chocolate chips.

Cold Cereal - Cheerios (original)

Yogurt - Fat free Fage (with Splenda and unsweetened cocoa)

Bread - Wonder Light Italian, Pepperidge Farms Very Thin White

Veggie -  Baby carrots, broccoli, asparagus, the list goes on ...

Frozen Entree - Amy's Shepards or Tamale pies

Breakfast Bar - Gnu Oatmeal Raisin or Brownie or Larabar Chocolate Coconut

Fruit - Strawberries, grapes, apples, blueberries, raspberries, cantaloupe, bananas, watermelon, peaches, kiwis, cherries ... I don't think I've met a fruit I didn't like!

Dessert - Deep Chocolate Vita Tops (when I'm being healthy), Edwards' Hershey's Sundae Pie (when I'm not being healthy but still holding myself accountable for calories, they come individually package at 290 calories a slice, and boy are they delicious), Birthday cake (when I just don't care ... any kind as long as the frosting is yummy and NOT whipped!)

Oatmeal -  Quaker Weight Control Cinnamon Sugar

Dinner you prepare- I'll say a stir-fry with shrimp, veggies, shirataki noodles, kung pao seasoning, and soy sauce because I do make a delicious stir-fry. However, I am not really one to cook often (I'm talking once every few months, MAYBE) so to be honest it would be wraps, sandwiches, salads

Healthy Restaurant Entree - Dragonfire Chicken from TGI Fridays or the Fajita Pita from Chili's (it's 450 calories but I ask for no sauce and for a side of pico de gallo instead. the sauce is mayo-based so I'm sure my substitution saves some calories)

Breakfast you prepare - scrambled egg beaters, light toast, and fruit (healthy) or chocolate chip pancakes (NOT healthy but if you see what I wrote above about cooking, this obviously isn't an issue too often!)

Any other favorites you want to share - peanut butter & co peanut butter (dark chocolate dreams or white chocolate wonderful) on wasa
Foods Laughing Cow cheese? Aug 17 2007

I just laughed out loud at george's response!!! My first encounter with "la vache qui rit" was in my high school french class. We had a cheese fete, where everyone was supposed to bring in a french cheese and someone brought in Laughing Cow and labeled it as "la vache qui rit." I fell in love with it there though and for a very long time I brough laughing cow with wheat thins for lunch. For some reason, to me, Wheat Thins are the best combination with the regular light Laughing Cow. Now, for a light snack, I'll get a 100 calorie pack of Wheat Thins and a wedge of Laughing Cow ... yum!

When I order Chinese, I asked for my meal to be steamed with no oil and the sauce on the side. My Chinese place actually has a diet menu where all the dishes are steamed with no oil, or anything added, and you can choose either white or brown sauce to be served on the side. I then use 1-2 tbsp of sauce (which is plenty) and no rice. You could get chicken and broccoli prepared this way that way you'd have your broccoli and some chicken for protein to make it a filling, healthy meal.

I agree, broccoli rocks. My favorite thing to order from my place is a dish called, Diet Long Life Vegetables with the brown sauce on the side. It's broccoli, snow peas, and snap green beans. If it's the weekend, I'll get it with an order of veggie dumplings, but if it's a "diet day," then I get the veggies as is and make sure I make up for the lack of protein elsewhere that day.

Peanut Butter & Co.!!! It comes in fun flavors like Dark Chocolate Dreams (my fave), White Chocolate Wonderful (also amazing), Cinnamon Raisin Swirl (delicious), The Heat is On (I haven't tried this one yet but it's supposed to be savory and spicy), as well as smooth and crunch regular. I am addicted to this stuff. The best part is, it's not a "diet" peanut butter, but (at least for the flavors I've had, the sweet ones) the calories and fat are a bit lower than regular PB. The White Chocolate is 180 cals for 2 tbsp, Dark Chocolate is 170 cals for 2 tbsp, and the Cinnamon Raisin (which has raisins in it) is 160 for 2 tbsp... so that's only 80-90 cals a tbsp. It's a bit pricey ($5/jar) but it's pretty much my favorite food.

My favorite breakfast (save it for the weekends) is a tablespoon of dark or white chocolate pb, two sheets of wasa light crisp bread, some baby carrots, a bowl of strawberries, and a vita top (deep chocolate). I spread the pb on the Wasa and save a little bit to put on my muffin top like frosting. This is pretty much my idea of heaven :-) And this meal takes a loooooonnngggg time to eat!
