actually it was a component of ephedra that was banned in the US, the remaining components are still approved by the FDA. Also some states have now allowed the use all original components to be sold again.

i have no idea at all why we binge like this... it is so discouraging because i know we are stronger that that... we are strong enough to make it to the end of the day we should be able to finish the day being healthy! Tomorrow is a new start for me though... i know i can be healthy for a full 24 hours lol!

I completely understand where you are coming from.

natural remedies? not so much.

i am on effexor which has helped me in numerous ways. i dont feel as anxious, the headaches have gone down, my body aches aren't there all the time, my dark thoughts have gone down as well.

you are welcome to message me and keep in contact. i would love to be able to help each other out.

its hard feeling so alone. i am 20 and also going through school. its just a hard time in life and it helps to have someone who understands, and on top of it is working to live a healthy lifestyle with food and exercise lol.
Health & Support I've got a question for those without their periods... Apr 21 2008

I understand your confusion completely.... I had it too for a long time.

I have PCOS and Endometriosis therefore my periods have always been very unpredictable and confusing. I went to my gyno, and that is what i suggest you do. It very well could be an underlying problem that you dont know... if you have lost a large amount of weight and exercise often then you most likely have lots your periods because of body fat % issues or extreme exercising.

But i definitely suggest going to see a doctor.

I also am anemic... I take iron pills but I must admit that I am not good about it because i dont like the negative side effects. I have recently been having some issues with it as well... gammaphi07... i feel like your story is mine... i too have endometriosis as well as PCOS and for years I was basically being treated with crohns to find out that I have IBD. The mix of all the the following can be really hard to deal with. I have never heard of iron affecting your weight loss but I am definitely going to read into it and see what i find.

i understand how you feel. my husband does it and its awful. he doesn't eat healthy and does not understand nutrition. he was just born with a fast metabolism so he has never cared too much about what he ate. he and my in laws are critical of all my food choices but it is okay because when i start to be bothered by it i remind myself that my body is health and i feel good about myself and i KNOW that i am the one making the wise decisions unlike him. lol there is my venting for the day :)

this morning has already been a battle. My husband got mcdonalds mcgriddles for breakfast and i wanted a bite so bad. I am not saying that a bite would be a bad thing but if I'm going to be serious about self control and discipline I can't give into a craving every time i have one. So..... I left the room and he finished the mcgriddles and I never got a bite :) good start to my day so far :)

I have not posted here before, I am looking to have something to help keep me on track with my maintenance. I need motivation during these winter months especially because im getting ready to start training for a marathon. I'm really trying to cut sugary and processed foods out of my diet and that has been quite the struggle.

Tomorrow's goal:

1. limit sugar

2. run 5-6 miles

wish me luck... ill be back tomorrow :)

Foods Texas Roadhouse Frustration!!!! Dec 07 2007

Liosa- bad news... every piece of meat that goes out is brushed with a brush that sits and soaks in melted butter and oil every night, also the rolls are brushed with melted butter as well. I'm not sure about the calories in each roll, but all i can say is to stay away from them. They are SOOOO unhealthy. and the honey cinnamon butter is terrible too... its basically butter whipped with sugar and honey. so now the butter is not only full of fat but also full of lots and lots of sugar. I would suggest that if you have to go there.... set the peanut buckets on the ledge or ask the server to take it. if possible (if the others with you dont mind) ask for the bread NOT to be taken to the table. Also, a couple entrees that might be the most healthy...

the sides dinner... you choose four sides, i would suggest a potato (sweet or white), side salad with light italian or light ranch (note: the low fat ranch still has 10 grams of fat and 110 calories per serving), veggies (with no butter), and to be honest there isn't much that is good for you left... you could do sauteed onions or mushrooms but they are very oily.

grilled chicken breast and ask to have the no butter brushed on it with two of the sides listed above.

to be honest after i started working there i have not gone into eat even though i get a 30% discount.... its not worth it when compared to all the calories i would probably consume.

here is the worst part too.... a doctor started the chain... a doctor? that doesnt make much sense to me seeing that all the the food there is ruined by the grease and fat they rub all over things.... if you like veggies you can also ask for no butter and their veggies are great... its a medley of broccoli, cauliflower, and carrots, but if you dont like one of the following or only like one of the following you can request for them to leave what ever you want out.

I have PCOS and I actually have a few questions, i know its hard for me doctor to answer these questions because she only knows what is in the book and not personal experience....

does anyone lack a sex drive at times and have pain with sex?

i am very small framed but as my problems got worse and worse it seems like gaining weight has become a small problem... in order to maintain i can only eat very small meals, along with exercising vigorously for two hours six times a week... is my problems with weight due to PCOS?

no they do not put the grease into the potatoes but just on the skins, both sweet and regular, as for everything else, almost everything has butter rubbed on it. For example, the buns, the veggies, the rolls, the buns, everything. But there is good news.... you can request for almost everything to be made without butter lathered on it. really texas roadhouse is a restaurant that everyone should try their hardest to avoid.

okay i ate some cheese fries that was a mess up and peanuts tonight along with snaking on others crap food and im paying for it. I feel soooooo sick, my body doesnt handle fried food AT ALL. Work has, like yours ms robota, been very, very slow. Tonight i got so hungry i couldn't help it. I WILL NO LONGER EAT THIS AWFUL FOOD! I mean when i serve it to people I cant help but think, oh my goodness if you only knew the calories in the food you are about to it..... and then I go and pick at it!

I would love it if some one us or all of us tried to hold each other accountable. Yesterday was so great for me and then tonight I messed up :( Well I of course work tomorrow so I will be returning with only good reports this time :)

actually there kinda is if you know an average caloric value of bacon grease, and figure maybe a teaspoon of it would be on the potato and calculate the calorie of a teaspoon of bacon grease. Im not looking for an exact number... I'm just looking for someone to help me figure it out. Thanks

qcmama: I love that saying... it cracks me up... i use it all the time to give others a hard time... i guess i need to take my own advice

kankan213: I know i drink that diet soda too and that does help except for i just get used to drinking it every night that its just ends up tasting so good with those croutons and french fries and peanuts. My work, like yours, has NOTHING good for you either. Fried food is the majority of what is in the kitchen. I guess i need to practice my discipline.

I have been attempting this on my own for a while now so I am sooooo excited to see a group for it! I have cut out sugary foods from my diet, as well as processed foods. If I lived on my own this would be much more easy, however, my husband is a junk food junkie and there is no stopping him (he is very thin, exercises daily so he sees no reason not to). I did great last week, however last night I went on a small sugary food binge, I ate a couple 90 calorie granola bars and chocolate milk with some cheetos. Im pretty sure those are not on my food list. hehe. Anyways I am here to mainly maintain my weight. I also am training for a marathon so the foods I choose to eat need to be used for fuel for my body... not garbage.

I suffer from IBS and lately bloating has been a huge problem for me.... my lower abdominal area gets so bloated you might think that I am in my early stages of pregnancy. Not only does the bloating look awful, it feels awful. It has gotten quite painful. I take gas-x to try to relieve the bloating but it only helps a very small amount. Does anyone else suffer from bloating like this, if so what do you do?

i also agree with the two previous posts. It took me about 2 weeks, however my body reacted quite weird to zoloft. my body became WAYYYY to dependent on it. I ended up switching to effexor, and that was much better for me. Its so important to find an anti depressant that is right for you. If the side effects of zoloft end up bothering you too much you may want to consider a different medication.
