| Tofu smoothies!!!! Berries, silken (dessert) tofu, and peaches....tofu.com is a good site. Tofu replaces any meat. Marinade and season it. !5-30 minutes before marinading it, place it on a towel, drape a towel over it, and set a plate on top --- gotta drain the water out. | |||

| I've read a few of your posts, and I'd say---learn to love who you are. You have a beautiful build. If you really are worried, do some yoga or pilates, but gain some self-esteem. You look terrific, and all I can say is to simply maintain that. | |||

| Oh heavens---I don't know WHAT it is that causes it, but I know I gained almost 20 pounds after I quit. I think it's because nicotine is an appetite suppressant. Make sure you get 5-6 small meals a day, make sure the fat ratio is low, and exercise. Congrats on quitting. Keep your chin up, and don't get too down on yourself. The more you get down on yourself, the more motivation you lose. Reward yourself for what you HAVE done, not what you HAVEN'T. | |||

| Too true, glamstarlette. Explain the motivations. It does seem kinda funny...people believe it's unhealthy to be overweight, but equally unhealthy to keep track of/maintain your weight. Guess the standard is 'a healthy level of fat.' N o thanks. | |||

| Hey poobus. Wilderness therapist is one who takes their clients out into the wilderness to treat them, instead of confining them to one hour a day in a box. We have mostly adolescents from 2-6 weeks, and teach them primitive living skills, self-confidence, self-trust, group and individual reliance, self-responsibility...on and on. And really, the greatest part, we don't teach them---we give em the tools and they discover it. | |||
| Vegetarian | Anyone have recipes for bloat-free eating? | Aug 18 2006 23:48 (UTC) |

| I don't know if tortillas would cause you to bloat. I live off them and haven't had problems with them. If they don't, you could always do:
tortilla, tofu marinated in: lime, cumin, lemon, oil, pepper, red pepper flakes rice cooked in orange pineapple juice, and lettuce, tomatoes, onions (or for a twist scallions). |

| Running back to cereals---I always start my day out with Bear Naked Peak Protein Granola...1/4 c. is 140 calories, add 1/2 c. soymilk makes it 190...1 c. milk makes it 250, I think. Throw in some fruit and it's nutritionally balanced. One of my favorites before I went vegetarian was a turkey wrap. Now I use tofurky. Depending on what all you put in it, it's low in fat, too. |

| I eat a lot of soy products (tofu, tempeh, yadda yadda). If you're not allergic to them, they add a lot of protein without the fat. Don't worry yourself sick...I'll echo what others have said: it's hard to eat the same mix every day. Without variety, it's easy to get off track. | |||

| Yeah...hey, that's cool. I dunno how to get offended---it wastes my time and ruins my day (and it doesn't really acheive much--other than a state eerily similar to PMS) :P. I thought about that, but lord heavens, I've amped it up to 1800 calories (I really don't know how I'll keep THAT up--feels like I'm going to explode...bleh---too much food). | |||
