I'm sorry for your frustrations.  I understand.  I've been trying to lose the last 10 lbs of my weight too and it doesn't seem to fall off.  I do understand that mine has alot to do with my disipline on the weekends.  I'm not gonna quit though and you shouldn't either.

Hi there.  I was wondering if you were okay.  I haven't heard anything in a while.  Glad to see your still here with me.

I was working out a lot and had to back off for a little while myself.  Last week I hurt something in my calf and tendon area of my lower leg.  I've taken a few days off to let it heal.  I couldn't really put too much weight on it at all at first but it's starting to feel better.  Just doing light walking, floor exercises, and some upper weights from machines.  I'm still trying to get in 5 days of exercise one way or another.  I told myself if it was bad this week I'd see a doctor.  It's feeling better though so I guess if I keep taking it easy and I'll be okay.

I've just started losing a little.  I do have a doctor appt. just to have them check blood to see if everything is okay.  I'm just so tried all the time and have gain about 10 lbs.  I figure the way I watch my food intake and always exercise I shouldn't have that kind of gain.  It just may be my body is used to it or I've been doing too much.  We'll have to see.

Talk to you again soon.

Hi there.  Glad your holidays were good.  Congratulations on fitting into your old pants.  That always feels good!  What is the Abs diet?  I've been trying to eat better and exercise.  Been somewhat succeeding but unfortunately still gaining weight.   I have a doctor's appointment on the 31st.  I'm hoping they can help.  It just seems like a real bummer when I try to eat well and exercise all week long but gain weight.  I'm also tired ALL the time.   Well, I better go.  Keep up your great work and I'll check in with you later this week.

Hi there.  Hope you had a Merry Christmas.  Ours was nice.  We did the family rounds and ate alot.  It seems like all I do is sleep and eat.  I've finally made myself start exercising even though I'm totally exhausted all the time.  I figure maybe it will help improve my mood and give me some energy.  Can't hurt to try.  I'm also trying to eat more fruit and veggies to see if it can help too.

How's your exercising going?  Have you been trying to keep it going.  How are your new videos?  Have they been helping?   I know it's hard right now but we have got to keep it up.

Well, I hope you and your family have a safe and Happy New Year.  Talk to you again soon.

Well, I've gained 5 lbs which I'm a bit concerned with but I'm starting to move my butt again so I'm sure it will come off.   I've started walking again.  I'm also doing a little in the mornings now.  I'm just easing my way back into my old routine.  I try not to dwell on the fact that I'm doing conciderably less.  I know that it will come in time.  Probably after the Christmas holiday, and maybe after new years is over too.  I'm just trying for a little here and a little there.  Starting to watch what goes in this mouth of mine again.  Last night while my husband and kids were getting ready to leave I worked out a little on the elliptical machine for maybe 10 min.  It made me feel good for the effort.  I have a good feeling after the 1st of the year were both gonna be doing much better.  I will try to check in this weekend but if I don't I hope you and your family the very best.  I hope you all have a very Merry Christmas.

Hi there.  I've really been bad lately.  I can't seem to get my butt out of bed in the morning, eating lots of cookies and junk.  I need to get a grip on myself.  I'm constantly tired.  I can't seem to get anything accomplished.  I feel like I'm moving in slow motion and just can't seem to snap out of it.  I was thinking about calling the doctor to have her check my blood but I hate to take off work for that.  I just don't feel like myself.  I'm just in a daze.

I did walk today at lunch.  First time all week.  It snowed a lot over the weekend so it was kinda slick out.  Will try again tomorrow.  I don't think my kids have any activities tonight so maybe I'll try to go down to the gym and get in a workout.  I think if I can get moving it will get better.

I'm glad to hear your doing so good.  Your an inspiration.  Keep up your great work.  I'm sure you'll hit your goal soon!

Kay, Congratuations on working out again.  You seem to be doing well with your wokouts!  Keep up the good work!

Wish I could say this week was going better but not so much.  I finally got a walk in today at lunch.  We are putting together our home gym so the room with all my equipment in it is a mess at the moment.  I'm hoping we'll have it back together by the end of the week so I can use everything.

I feel so sluggish lately.  My food choices are so poor.  I'm trying to do better with the food choices this week though.  I just want to eat everything in sight and sleep all the time.  I'm hoping things will perk up though.  It just doesn't even feel like x-mas time.  I just need to wake myself up and get out of my slump!

Hi kay.  Glad to see your still working out.  2.6 miles in 30 minutes is good.  I'm only doing 2 miles in 30 minutes but I'm hoping that I can improve on that eventually.  I'm sure you'll get to the 3 miles in 30 minutes in no time.  Keep working at it.

I'm in a little holiday slump.  I've been really tired lately.  I feel like I'm starting to come down with something.   I'm assuming it's all the holiday stuff that's wearing me down.  There's just never enought hours in the day.  I'm still working out a few days a week and walking at lunch though.

We did buy a home gym.  It wasn't all that expensive but I think it will fit our needs.  It's a nice corner piece that will fit in my workout room.  My husband is going to pick it up today and start working on putting it together.  I'll let you know how it goes.

Well, I'll check in later this week to see how your doing.  Have a great day!

Glad to see your still around.  I'm still exercising but not as much and eating a little more than I should.  I'm a little bored with my routine too but I think it's just because of the hecktic schedule.  I only have a small amount of time to work out and it seems to make it hard for me to do other things.  My hubby is going to take over my Monday night runnings with the girls because he's going to start coaching.  I'm really gonna try to take the opportunity to get in a good workout while they are away.  I hope it works out! Were also looking into getting a home gym for ourselves as a christmas gift.  Kind of excited.  We're going to decide by the end of the week.  Well, keep working out.  I'll check in later this week.

Hi.  Wish I could say I was doing as well this week.  I've hit a little slump.  I'm so tired all the time.  I'm thinking that maybe last week was a little too much or that the time of year hit me too.  I did manage to get up and do the elliptical for 21 minutes today and walked at lunch for another 20 minutes.  I'm gonna do my best to get in a workout tomorrow but I have to head out tonight and it might be a late night.  Tomorrow I have to start cleaning again and also start preparing food for Thursday after I get home from work.  It will be a long day!  I'll be having family over for Thanksgiving.  What are you all doing?

Kscout - I'm proud of you!  Sometimes it helps to switch it up a bit.  I was thinking about doing the same thing but it's so hard to do this time of year.  I just workout mainly in the morning but after this week my kids really don't have much in the evenings so maybe I can do some rearranging.  I sometimes feel lucky I get in a workout at all.  Good luck with your DVD's and keep moving.

Hi everyone.  Had a fun weekend partying.  My daughter had her out of town soccer tournament and they came in fourth.  Not too bad.  They were the youngest in their bracket.  They've improved so much from year to year.  They'll do better next year I'm sure.

I really hated to get on the scale today but it wasn't that bad for all the bar food and drinking that occured.  You have to have your off time.  Now I have to work it off.

I've continued running and using my elliptical on my off days.  I want to add weight training but I don't have much time for it now.  I'm hoping after Thanksgiving to add more weight training to my schedule.  I'm also concidering adding water arobics two times a week.  I was at my daughter's swim class last night and noticed they just started one.

Kay - Just keep doing what you can when you can.  I know what it's like for time to be crunched.  I try to get in a walk on my lunch hour for exercise and because I find it puts me in a better mood.  When I don't get my walk - I'm so crabby!  Just fit in a little here and there.  I know you can do it.

Lilee - Sounds like your doing good.  Just remember not to rush it too much or you'll get injured.  I've been there.  Keep up your good work!

Hi all!  Lilee welcome to the group and good luck with your program!

I've been doing pretty good with my running this week.  I've got two down and at least one to go. I'm walking 4 min running 6 min x 3 for a total of 30 min.  I seem to be doing pretty well with it.  Next week I'll walk 3 run 7.  Doing the elliptical on my off days.  I tried pilates last week but it really hurt the stomach.  I'll have to work that one in slowly.

Kay - hope all is well!  I'll check in with you again later!

Hi there.  How was you Halloween?  Took the kids out trick or treating and didn't have one piece of candy the whole night.  They even brought donuts and pretzels into work and I didn't budge.  I've been really good with exercise too.  I've worked out witht he elliptical or running everyday this week plus walking at lunch.  I'm going to run with my daughter tonight even though I ran this morning.  She's looking forward to it.  Can't let her down.

I wish I could be more help eliminating some of that stress you have.  Don't let it weigh you down.  Keep getting up and moving.  Not to the cabinet, fridge and freezer though.  LOL.  Exercise helps with the stress so keep it up you can do it!

Hot chocolate and tea sounds good though.  I so want to like tea.  I wish I could find some I like.  I hear it's really good for you.  I keep trying it and maybe someday I'll find a kind I like.

Well, I have to go, I'll check back with you later.  Have a great week!

Hi.  Just checking to see how you've been doing.  I've been exercising.  Not doing as much as I'd like and eating more than I should but I'm not too upset about it.  I realize that it's that time of the year and slip ups are bound to happen.  Especially with kids and halloween.  LOL.  My daughter is getting ready for a big soccer tournament in a few weeks.  She is really excited and is willing to run with me so we went out last night and ran 1.5 miles.  It wasn't continuous but it was nice to see her motivated and trying to keep up.  She's only 8 so I think she did quite well.  I know what you mean about running and exercising helping with stress.  When I'm upset I can get a really good workout in.  It beats my alternative for stress - food.  Keep up your good work.  4 miles is awsome!  Life will get better, just keep doing what your doing.  :)  Talk to you later this week.

Hi there!  Kay, great job on running last week.  I know what you mean about being sore after taking some time off.  I got the okay on Friday to start running again.  I ran yesterday but just did 3 min runs and alternated running and walking for 26 min.  I figure it's a good start since it's been since the end of Aug.  I'm concidering doing another round today sometime but worry about over doing things.  If not today, tomorrow morning for sure.  I went out yesterday and bought some underarmor for the outdoor stuff we have coming up.  My daughter and her friends wear it for soccer so I figured it might help me too.  We'll see.  Well, take care this week and keep working hard.  I'll check in with you later.:)

Hi.  Hope all is well.  Things here never seem to slow down.  Were always running here or there.  Well, not actually running but I wish.  The kids seem to have something every night.  I've got to get back into the habit of eating healthy.  I need more veggies in my diet.  I'm really gonna start concentrating on that.  I've been trying to work out a little but I'm getting over strep throat again.  I wish there was something over the counter you could take for that when you feel it coming on.  It would sure save me a lot of time off work.  Did get in a 25 min workout on the elliptical last night.  Will try to do something again tonight since it's raining here and I can't walk at lunch.

Kay - glad to hear from you.  Don't get discouraged.  You'll get back on the ball.  I know what you mean though.  When thing get crazy you feel like you could slide backwards so easily.  I know you won't though.  Keep working hard.  Life will slow down and I'm sure once that room gets cleaned out you'll feel like using it again.  Remember every step and movement counts.  Just keep moving!  You can do it!

Txgirlygirl - Where are you?  Are things okay and are you staying on track?  Hope all is well!

Have a great week all!

Hi everyone!  Hope you've all been doing well.  I've gotten a few good workouts in and I can definatly feel it.  Mainly working on the elliptical and walking at the moment.  I'm thinking of starting with pilates or a light strenth training.  I keep wanting to do more than I know I should.  Kids are keeping me busy with soccer, volleyball and school.  Soon we'll switch sports to basketball and swimming.  I feel that I'll never have a free moment, but I keep trying to fit my working out into every free second I have.

Kay - sounds like you've been busy too.  I know that has to be hard on you and your family.  I hope you get everything back to normal again soon.  Good luck with the running too!

Txgirlygirl - looks like your cowboys kicked my Rams butt!  Not like that is hard to do now days.  LOL.  Not a huge football fan but I try to keep up.  How is your back?  Are you back working out again?  Congratulations on losing even without the working out.  I keep bouncing back and forth but I'm not upset over it.  I just keep trying again.  I just think it would help to staple my mouth shut sometimes.  I love this time of year.  Pumpkin Bread, pumpkin rolls, stews, apple pies.  Just need to keep me moving so I don't have time to eat that stuff!  LOL.

Well everyone, I must go to workout.  Have a great week!

Hi ladies!  How is your week going?  I've been so busy with the kids in school and three sports going on between the two of them.  I did manage to start walking this week.  I'm easing my way into things with just 10 to 20 min walks.  Even though it hasn't been much, with watching what I ate, I'm dropping that weight that I gained.  Hooray!

Kay - I hope I can make the four mile mark one day!  It's just going to take some time though.  I love running or walking with my Ipod.  It seems to help me keep pace.  I know what you mean about the putting everything in your mouth weight.  I love all the rich foods in the winter and fall.  It makes watching my weight so much harder.  I can get away with grilling most foods in the summer.  It's too cold to do that everyday in the winter.  Luckly with my busy schedule lately most dinners involve a veggie, or chicken wrap that I make.  My weekends are when I fall off my wagon.

Txgirlygirl - How is your back?  Are you able to workout again yet?  I really hope your doing well.  Did you enjoy the time with your husband?  My husband was away for work most of last week.  We go through that every four weeks too and I know it's hard.  I don't go through it as often as you but I can understand how hard it must be for you.

Well girls, Stay well, work hard, and have a wonderful week!

You both are doing so great!  I'm proud of you both for keeping up with the running and exercising.

Kay -Congrats on the four miles!  That is quite an accomplishment!

Txgirlygirl -Wow a 14 lb loss is great!  I bet your also losing inches too!  Great job!

I'm still on the sidelines but I did get the okay to go back to work and walk this weeks so tonight I'm walking with a friend at my daughters soccer practice.  I'll be able to kick it up a bit more in two weeks.  I'm trying to take it easy because I don't want to make recovery take longer than it has to.  I've unfortunatly put on four pounds but I guess that's not too bad concidering I've eaten fast food for the last few weeks.  I think now that I'm up moving a little more I won't be doing any more of that.  Hopefully I'll start to lose a little.

Well, keep on working hard and I'll check in with you both later this week!

Hi everyone!  I'm still sitting on my bum.  LOL.  I find it so hard not to be up moving around though.  I wanted to really bump up my workouts when the biggest loser came on for the season but find I can't do a darn thing.  I find it so frustrating.  I ended up getting a cold on top of everything too.  I hope that doesn't interfere with the recovery efforts from surgery.  Everytime I cough I feel my stomach hurts from where the stitches are.  My doctor did say I could walk next week though.  It can't be fast but I'll take anything at this point.

Kscout - Congrats on the three and half.  You'll be at four again before you know it.  I wish we had satellite tv or even cable.  My husband and I talked about it but we were just never hope enough to justify it.  I'm kicking myself now with just regular TV all day.  My favorites were always the Discovery, Foodnetwork, and HGTV.  I could watch that stuff all day.

Txgirlygirl - How are you feeling?  I hope your doing better.  Congrats on your 3 lb loss.  I hate how those pounds are easy to put on but a pain in butt to take off.  Are you still gonna try to do the 5k this weekend?  I think if your feeling better you should try it.  I'm sure you'll like it.  You can always walk a little if you need to.

Well girls, keep working hard.  I'll check in with you all later.

Hi ladies!  Hope your still working out and losing weight.  I've had to stop for a while. I had unexpected surgery last week and it looks like exercise is out for at least another couple weeks.  :(  I'm not going to worry too much though.  I'll get better and jump back in as soon as they say it's safe for my body to do so.

Kay, hope the new job is going well for you and your family.  Let me know how it's going.

Txgirlygirl - I'm happy to hear your still at it with the class.  I'm glad to hear it's working out great for you.  The bootcamp sounds great.  I've always wanted to do that but the classes around here never seem to work with my schedule.  I'm still looking into joining they gym this fall/winter.

Hope you all don't mind, I'm still gonna be here checking in on the two of you till I can start up again.  I'll just have to be your cheerleader till then!  Have a great week!

Sounds like you both are doing great.  I'm hoping I'll have word on weather I can continue to work out or what Monday or Tuesday.  Nothing serious.  I'll let you know what's going on later this week.  This last week has just been a roller coaster ride for me.

Kay, Congrats on the new job.  I'm glad things are working out.  I know nights can be rough.  Glad you'll be a day person again.  What kind of boot camp are you doing.  I've always wanted to do one but the times just never worked out for me.  I'll have to be my own drill instructor I guess.

txgirlygirl - I'm glad to hear from you. Glad to hear your husband is home too.  I was getting worried with the hurricane down that way.  Congratulations on the three pound loss.  I think I'm picking them up for you but once I'm up and going again I'm hoping my pounds will start to melt away.  Keep up the great work at the gym.  Don't worry too much about the runs, I'm sure you'll be fine.

It has been a busy week.  I fell while running last week but I'm doing okay.  I skinned up my knee, and hands pretty bad but nothing serious.  I've moved my running to indoors on the treadmill now.  It's just too hard to see some of the uneven pavement since it's still dark in the mornings now.  I don't like it as much but I still get the benefits of the exercise.  Getting the kids back to school next week and they start Soccer and  Volleyball.  That week off was nice!  LOL.

Hello everyone.  Great job your both doing!  I took Friday off work so I could get the house ready for a B-day party this weekend.  I did get a run in before all my cleaning fun began.  I also squeezed in a weight training session on Saturday morning before the party.  I also ran this morning at 5:30.  The runs are really difficult for me right now with the temps and humidity so high.  This morning it was already above 80 and very humid.  I may have to change over to the treadmill for a while this week.  I hate to do that though.  I love running outside.

txgirlygirl - Wow!! That class sounds great.  Maybe that's my problem that I don't work out hard enough.  I do work up a sweat everytime I work out but I can't seem to drop the pounds.  I drop one or two but they always come back after the weekend.  I don't think I eat that badly over the weekend.  We've actually cut back on eating out and only do that one night a week.  It's just so frustrating! Sorry about my little rant.  It sounds like your doing great though.  Congratulations and keep up the good work!

Kscout - Thanks for the info on the heart monitor.  I was thinking about getting one.  I'm no good at doing that sort of thing myself.  How is the temp and humidity when you run?  It seems like with the temps and humidity being as high as they are I'm really having a hard time running without stopping to walk some.  It just seems much harder.  Do you have that problem at all?  It's supposed to be in the upper 90's and 100's this week here.  I can't wait for fall.  That's my favorite time of the year.  Keep up the great work with the runs and thanks for all your help.

Have a great week all and I'll check in with you later.

Hi ladies.  Were all doing so good!  I've gotten two runs in this week.  I managed to push myself a little more this morning and get a little more out of my 30 min run.  Not much but every step counts!  I'm strength training and even got to do some over the weekend!  I've joined a friend 2 - 3 times a week to walk for 30 - 45 min at the highschool track close by.  Plus, still walking in this awful heat for 20 min at lunch everyday.  It's a nice release from the people/customers that I work with.

Kscout - Your doing awsome!  How are you tracking your heart rate?  Are you calculating that yourself or do you have some sort of a monitor.  I should prob try that.  Keep up your great work!

Txgirlygirl - Congrats on the 2 lb loss!  That's awsome.  That gym sounds nice!  Those pounds are gonna melt off you they way you keep going.  Great job! I could really get into something like that.  I think I'm gonna hold out till it gets really cold out or I just can't take my routine any longer.

Ladies were all doing a great job!  Kay, your right, this is a great thread we have going here.  I too look forward to hearing from the two of you.  It's a great motivation!  Talk to you all later.

txgirlygirl - No workout this week?  What's up?  Are you feeling okay?  Don't start losing motovation now.  You've worked so hard to get to where your at.  I know this time of year is hard for me too.  It all just sometimes gets to be so routine and I need to switch it up a bit.  That's why I will probably run in the race next weekend.  A change from my normal routine.  Plus it's fun.  Congrats on signing up for that 5k.  I really like running in those.  It seems to push me more than I would normally be pushed.  Are you running alone or with someone?  Good luck with the trainer on Monday.  I'm looking into a gym for fall now.  It sounds neat and they have free daycare.  That's always a plus because my husband has to work a lot of overtime.

Well, keep working hard and I'll check with you later.

Hello everyone!  Hope you all have had a great week.  I started off slow but I've managed to run 2 days and strength train 2 days with the elliptical.  I walked everyday at lunch.  Not too bad!  I think I'm going to try the five mile next weekend.  I've never run more than the 5k though.  I just think it will be fun to get out there and do that with a group though.  They have a kids one mile so the husband and kids are gonna do that one.  I put on a few pounds and have had the hardest time trying to get it off.  I've started logging my food again to see if maybe I'm in starvatin mode but I don't think that's the case.  I have read some that if I run I should up the calories so I'm trying to adjust my diet for a little more protein and carbs before my run.  I'll let you know how it goes.  I guess with all the running it could just be more muscle.  We'll see.

Kay - how the cross country running going this week?  I have to say I love the running.  I always take a day off between runs but look forward to the days when I do run.  It's a great release and I love the alone time.

Txgirlygirl - How are your workouts going this week?  Did you get them all in?  Do you like the morning workouts?  I do.  I love running early in the morning as the sun is beginning to rise.  It's so calm and peaceful.  Good luck Monday with the trainer.  Let me know how it goes.

Have a great weekend everyone!
