Here are two bfast examples I absolutely love. 2 bisquits Barbara's Bakery Shredded Wheat (140 cal) 1/2 cup non fat plain yogurt (55 cal) 1/2 cup blackberries or any berries (30 cal) 1/2 banana (50 cal) **mix all ingredients up and you've got a pretty filling breakfast for about 275 calories OR 1/2 cup quaker oats (150 cal) 1 package of quaker simple harvest hot cereal (160 cal) 1 cup hot water ** For a 310 calories, that keeps me pretty full |

| I am guilty of eating frozen meals on a regular basis for lunch... I do enjoy the paninis open faced too and eating it like a pizza. I didn't like the philly cheese steak one...the chicken ones are better. I also like the Lean Cuisine ones too. More flavorful in my opinion. | |||

a microwave and fridge is all you need! i work in a downtown and there are restaurants galore! anyhow, i hardly ever eat out. my daily consists of Lean Cuisines & homemade sandwiches. Also Progresso Light soup and Trader Joe's less sodium soups are so wonderfully filling! Health Valley canned chili is also on the top of my list. I hope these options work for you as they continue to work for me. |

| Maintaining | How has maintenance been going for you guys? | Jan 23 2008 06:13 (UTC) |

My maintenance hasn't been going so well. I was at 130 with a goal of 125 and it just didn't seem realistic for me at that weight. I was plateauing for months. Anyhow, I decided I would maintain the 130 and stopped consistently logging my food. What a mistake...now I'm up 4lbs (this was also a result of the holidays). So my lesson I take is continue logging your food intake because when you see the numbers in front of you, u definately take more responsiblity for your actions. |

| That's my dilemma too. I will not go out and spend my $$ at a nice steakhouse for Kobe beef, but since this is a work event and I have an opportunity to choose to eat Kobe beef, I'm kind of debating whether or not to take it. The other half of me says...your health is important! Salmon is good for you! | |||
| Weight Loss | 5-10 pounds to go and stuck!!! Join me to lose the last few pounds! | Aug 14 2007 20:15 (UTC) |

Hi all, I'm new to this thread and I really need some motivation. I've lost close to 30lbs in the past 3 years. I've managed to keep my weight around 130-132, but the last 5 months have been such a challenge. I no longer counted calories because I knew what a healthy lifestyle meant and my eating habits consistently were good except on the weekends..( i also have some bingeing issues I'm overcoming). So I plateaued for months and figured I'd just maintain at this weight...but now I'm dating someone and I've started on birth control & not sure if that's what is making me eat more... I've hit 136-138 lbs. I really want to lose what I've gained and 5lbs more, so I'm shooting for about 10lbs w/ a goal weight of 125lb. I just started my 1500 calorie/day. I workout 4-6 times a week. So that's my story and I hope I can get some inspiration and support from everyone here. =) |

| Health & Support | binge-eating: i'm so mad at myself :-( | Aug 13 2007 05:05 (UTC) |
|
| wow, this is great to know that there are others out there dealing with the same issues. I too have been facing the same thing with bingeing. I've identified it as being the following: 1) stress from work 2) insecurities about my relationship with my bf 3) lack of motivation 4) being on my period (for some reason i think it's ok to overeat at this time, not sure why i think that..i just do) and all of these things cause me to binge because food is comforting. i almost feel as if eating yummy food (at the moment at least) can cure my anxieties, but it just makes it worse afterwards. then i think to myself...i already fudged up this much...i'm going to continue and i'll start over again tomorrow...but it just seems endless... so what do you do beyond identify what are the triggers of bingeing? can someone share some more insight please. thanks. |

| I do have the same problem, but mine is almost always just during the weekends in the day time.... I've found that if you just get a bunch of fresh fruit and cut it up into a big fruit salad, not only does that fill me up, but it keeps me busy cleaning and cutting up the fruit that it is satisfying once I finish the bowl. |

| Motivation | Help, all I want to do is eat | Aug 01 2007 18:34 (UTC) |

| So after having called a good friend of mine (who is a trainer at my gym) he suggested that I keep myself busy by making a fruit salad. Just cut up whatever fruits I have and mix it in a big bowl and just fill up on that because fruits are space hoggers and plus its good for you. So I applied that to my breakfast...I had noticed I've been eating a lot for breakfast, the first thing I ate was my fruit salad then a bowl of whole grain cereal w/ soy & two egg whites and that was at 6:30am and it kept me full till about 9:50am. | |||

| Pack your own snacks to the movies. U save money and calories. Pack things in a zip lock that way you control your portions as well. One must bring would be 100 calorie popcorn. It won't be warm, but it beats eating the unhealthy & expensive one there. |
