Thanks for the welcome!

I also have issues with binging. I've worked out a system where I make my roommate buy or split buying my trigger foods (like peanut butter or pita chips) so I feel too bad to eat very much. I'm not sure she knows about my system, but it works nonetheless ;) Other triggers I keep out of the apartment all together (and usually at my parent's house.) That way I don't have access to them and if I do binge at my parent's house I just take one of our Old English Sheepdogs for a jog to help burn it off.

I've also added external motivation for exercising. I play tennis with a coworker about every other day, or at least we have been for the past few weeks.  I stop by my parent's house to take one of the dogs on a walk/jog interval. My route is about 3.5 miles and I'm working on decreasing my time. I really want to run a 5K at some point!

Good afternoon all!

I'm another tall girl looking for support. I'm 6' and 186 currently. I'm down from 207 last year, but I'm looking to get to 160. I haven't weighed that amount since early elementary school. I started wearing jeans at a size 16 in 6th grade. I hit and plateaued for about a year at 175 a few years ago.

Luckily, like the rest of you, I apparently don't look as heavy as I am. My current strategy is to focus on exercizing regularly and trying to go lower carb. I'm vegetarian, so that can be quite a challenge. My current body fat percentage is about 35%, which is where my main issue is. Unfortunately I have a really difficult time losing weight unless I'm basically starving myself.

Morning all!

I was too embarrassed to weigh in earlier this week, but I'm just going to get it over with.

Weigh In: 198

I'm up a few pounds. I don't know where the initial gain came from. I was working out and eating within my range. Then I gave up and ate what I wanted for the past few days. Blech! But I'm going to the gym for at least an hour today to get back on track!

Goal: 5 servings fresh veggies 2 servings fruit daily. Work out 5 days x week. We'll try it for this week starting today!

Good morning!

My weigh in for this week is 197. I'm up a little bit, but I've been below my daily allowance so I'm not sure what is causing that. I did the elliptical for 45 minutes yesterday and lifted weights for 15.

According to my hrm, that was about 900 calories. It helps that I'm a giant ;)

I'll be hitting the gym again tonight. Just thinking about this group motivated me to try weights for the first time in a year!

Is it too late for another member? I love your plan and think this could really help me step up my workouts! I currently do 45 minutes of cardio 3-4 days a week but I definitely need to add weight lifting!

Name: Katelyn

Age: 23

Height: 6' 0"

Weight: 196

Goal: 170

Plan:  My plan is to record my food every day. I'm going to get in at least 5 servings of vegetables and two servings of fruit every day. I'm going to increase my cardio to 5 days a week and add in 30 minutes of weight lifting 3 days a week. Cut down on eating out and focus on eating cleaner.

If there isn't room, I wish you all the very best of luck on your challenge!
