You did say you don't feel physically hungry, so I'm guessing it's more emotional.

Too much stress never helped anyone, so I think the key is to relax, breathe, and take a look at things from a different angle once you're in a better state of mind.

Hi raychelc - I think alot of what you said is true - i have been feeling down lately and maybe my mind is trying to substitute food for other things i dont want to face - or i'm just stressed and food comforts me - good insight

to jesszika: I tried this yesterday when I got home from work and I got alot of stuff done I had been putting off!  It was great - I didn't have time to think about food - i just drank water and lemonade when i had the urge to eat something. Thanks

Thanks for your reply auralay!  Unfortunately, I think my problem is more psychological because i drink plenty of water and i'm not hungry in my stomach, i'm hungry in my head(if that makes sense) :Frown

Yup, it's annoying :(  oh well - i guess i will try to focus more on the healthy and firm than on the thin - you're right on target with the sugar thing - i am addicted to sugar(even though i do a pretty good job of controlling it, i'm always craving something sweet).  I'll keep trying - thanks.

Yeah, my knees hurt a little when i walk up and down stairs too.  I got discouraged from exercising because of my knees hurting, but I think the answer is not to stop exercising(this will only cause your body to be weaker).  I think the answer is to find exercises that won't hurt your knees - like the ones suggested by bodyscience and brandy.  Even walking 20 or 30 minutes a day will help just with overall health - but don't stop working out - it will hurt you in the long run.Frown

Thank you for the suggestions bodyscience, does the seated leg press work as well as the inclined one?  I only have the former at my gym.
