| I get that too and I am sixteen. Maybe it is a growing thing...?
Even though my BMI is just over 25, I'm thinking I should wait a bit until my teenage years aren't so up and down until I start hardcore dieting... I'm just trying to drink water and become more active. |

| Why are people being rude? Can you just accept her and tell her calmly and nicely that we'd like to help her?
Well, if no one else will, I will help her out, and let her know what I think. Hi Kelly! I can definitely relate to you... Since I am also sixteen, and I feel the need to eat healthier. Of course, I'm 145 pounds, and need to lose twenty five pounds. As much as I dislike the way most people presented the information to you, I think there are a few ways your diet could change. I would, for one, try to eat maybe some cheese into your diet. Or what about almonds, and walnuts? Your weight is under what is reccommended here on the site. If you truly cannot bring yourself to eat more, and your doctor said it is okay after you openly talked to him/her about your diet plan, then I would talk to a nutritionist. It may not be about an eating disorder, but you need to find ways to encorporate protien into your diet. Humans cannot survive on just fruits and vegetables. I'm sorry people here could not be of more help. Are you a vegan, or just a vegetarian? Could you maybe have an egg for breakfast? If your in a hurry you could always keep a couple of boiled eggs in your fridge and have an egg or two for breakfast? Or a nice fruit salad with some walnuts and cream cheese? Maybe add a few almonds for snacking on. Keep a bag of them with you. They're a healthy great way to snack. Maybe even add in some cheese? Talk to a nutritionist to help you put together a safe plan. I'm basically backing up what trhawley said in his/her post. Let us know if you need anything. |

| Here's what I'm thinking... for tomorrow
Oatmeal- 300 calories Orange - 110 for the orange Lunch - Scrambeled Egg, and brocoli or veggies, maybe rice - about 300-400 Snack - another orange Dinner - Probably veggies, some type of meat and maybe potatoes (about 450-500 calories) Will this work? And also, about 75 ounces of water! |

| Yeah I've been trying to get in a HUGE breakfast and I'm always drinking water to have SOMETHING in my belly! But I feel like if it's the summer, or if it's the weekend, I do great. But the walk home is too much to bear on an empty stomach. Sometimes I'm bad and get fries at Macdonalds, then walk for an hour and eat like a pig!
It's not like I eat chocolate THAT MUCH. Like I probably down that much like every other month. It's just so annoying that I can't eat during school. How are we expected to work hard with absolutely no energy?! |

| adrienne_x -- you pretty much described me!
I'm Kara... I'm 15, and I would like to lose a bit of weight. I've lost ten pounds in the last year (not much but hey, the weight came off) by just excersizing. Now that I've been stuck at 136-139 for months, I really just need to get past this "good enough" phase! And get on track. GOOD LUCK. Let us know if you need any help/motivation! =D |

| Haha I'm trying from 136 (where I've been stuck for a year!) to 120 give or take. GAH this is so hard! I hate winter too, because it's just so hard to excersize. Who feels like going to the gym these days?! | |||

| Thanks. I JUST figured out how to reset it. I am just one of those people who like a clean start! I'm going to do everything right.
I'm trying to JUST eat fruits/veggies most of the time instead of processed junk food, potato chips and such! I feel better, and do better in school too! =0 Thanks. Yeah there are people who have it worse. -Kara Thanks for the motivation! |

| Thank you so much. I will. I was talking to my mom (whos also on here but never on the forums) about it and she told me to look through the programs at the YMCA. They have some programs that fitness trainers teach. It's about how to use the equipment and reach goals. Since I can't seem to go down more than 136, I think that sounds good.
I also talked to them about buying better foods, which is good. Thank you so much, you helped me alot! |

| I'm allowed to use anything at the gym. It's a YMCA so it has a lot. I could get a walkthorugh of the weights, possibly. Thanks though, I was hoping that adding weights would make a difference!
I've tried looking throught the fitness forum and I don't understand what they're talking about. I'm that slow =P I just understand the word "cardio" is like stuff like running and junk that gets your heart moving. other than that I don't know anything, like what's resistance? |
