| just take it easy tomorrow. definitely soak tonight and perhaps be preemptive by getting the bengay going. i tried running with my dog a while ago, and she crossed in front of me. well let's just say, it wasn't pretty and i felt like every car that passed me was in slow motion pointing and laughing as i fell on my face. (that part was all in my head, of course.)
my lesson learned was: don't run with the dog who can't heel. yours might be to watch out for that board! :-) who said it...battle scars. i like that. |

| i have had several european body wraps over the past 2 years. body wraps are a way to lose inches and relieve the toxins out of your pores. we sit in an infrared sauna for 30 minutes with each treatment. there is a hazard sign in the sauna that provides instructions for people. it does suggest that people not sit in the sauna for longer than 30 minutes, because there is some health risk to being exposed to the high temparature. other than that, i've seen great results with inch loss and skin texture after each wrap. | |||

| okay, so no change this week. i stayed at the same weight. but, i think it's because i'm getting leaner. i've worked out more this week and i even feel leaner. so i guess i'm doing the fat to muscle dance.
katier, i don't know what the extra cals do. but, i think this week i'm going to try to stay a lil closer to the CC recommendation and see what happens on the scale. i'm at my limit, it's 10 pm AND my stomach's growlin'. i think it's sugar free jello time (10 cals). :-P |

| i'm with you nirvrush. i know what i can handle and be comfortable with. the 150s is a great range. i was there when i was 17 going off to college. i was 154 when i got married in 1999 (partly because i had gallbladder surgery and lost some weight). congrats on 148! (woohoo with you)
stay motivated everybody! |

| okay, some of you have high aspirations. i'm 5'7" , currently weigh 178, and really want to get to 160 or 155. i couldn't even tell you when i was smaller than that. i honestly just want to get into the 25 suits (size 14) that i have in my closet. if i lose more, that's great. just want to get back to a decent size. my highest was 203 after pregnancy in 2003. i joined CC august 28, battled a 7-week plateau and i am just starting to lose again. since mid-july, i've lost just 8 lbs. | |||

i get body wraps every now and again. they measure the upper thigh, the middle of thigh, and right above the knee. as for arms-- they do middle of bicep and forearm (right below your elbow at the thickest point). hope this helps.
you just have to be sure you get the same spot each time. only you'll know about the sharpie. :-P |

thanks everyone for the love. when i thought long and hard about what i was doing, esp. not logging in ALL of my activities, i realized that my deficit was WAY TOO big. CC says i should do about 1350 to reach my goal. with just sedentary, and adding major activity stuff, i was burning about 2400 cals on average. that's a 1000 deficit and i didn't realize it. and i wasn't losing weight for 7 weeks. i tried to diversify my cals # on different days, but still nothing was happening. i took the advice of many and upped my cals to about 1500-1800 (depending on workout) and i've seen results. kimmer, i do log in my workouts because they are above and beyond normal walking around. i've also started to wear my pedometor consistently to test my activity level. it helps me gauge if i'm having an active day or not. good luck to you too, let me know how it goes. i'll let you know if i see anything differently next week, on the scale that is. |

| had to check on you panda. glad you did something. better late than never they say. :-) i walked/jogged 4 miles today. my walkin' buddies did 3 and i continued on doing the 4th mile by myself. i feel awesome!!! have a great weekend all! | |||
| Weight Loss | help me chips are evil!!! | Sep 15 2006 16:50 (UTC) |

| chrissy, i like chips too. when i have to have them, i've tried to use alternate like sun chips or toasted wheat thins. stick to the serving size. if i have them with a sandwich, i'll get the 11 chips. and that's it.
AN EVEN BETTER idea, is to buy fresh carrot chips. they are sliced like chips with wedges. with a sandwich, it is awesome. you get the crunch you want, but not all the guilt of the fat, sodium, etc. tres bon! |

me too about the copy. thanks a mil! butlers2@bellsouth.net as for the diet plan... my mom and sister have both joined. they say it's pretty expensive to get started; however LAWL guarantees 2 lbs a week. my sister joined in august, and at 4 weeks, she's lost 8 lbs and 8 inches. sounds good to me. my mom and sister don't care for their bars very much though. my sister swaped for the vanilla shakes, she doesn't like those either. if you don't buy their stuff, i don't know what the costs are--not sure if buying their products is "required". |

| do it pandajenn! don't let anything get you off track. my walking partners backed out on me at 5:45 a.m. for our 6 a.m. walk. made me have to do my denise austin tape. yuck! i'm running with you in spirit! have a great one and be safe. do you feel safe running in the dark? be careful! by the way, get to bed, so you can feel rested in the a.m. :-) | |||

| i got suckered in getting the windsor dvds watching an infomercial. :-) i haven't used them as much as i should; but like the others have said--you will see a difference in your muscle tone. at the end of workout mari says you'll feel longer, taller, and stronger. you really do. i think the routine mari suggests for weight loss might actually work--if we tried it. your supposed to alternate 60 min and 20 min dvd. i have the 20 min workout, and the 60 min accelerated workout. when i did the 20 min (3x/wk), results were great. the 60 min accelerated workout is a lil difficult if you're new to pilates. once i did it a couple of times, i was rolling like a ball with no problem!
i'll commit to doing it with ya if you need some motivation. just holler! :-) |

| athena still has me beat. my daughter turned 3 last week and i still say i've got my pregnancy weight. i've never gotten back to my pre-pregnancy weight, which was still a lil too much weight. my doctor told me since i was ALREADY overweight (175), i should only gain 15 more lbs. right, that worked! | |||
| Weight Loss | After 4 weeks, no change...HELP! | Sep 10 2006 20:25 (UTC) |

| thanks! no i haven't measured at all recently, though my clothes fit better. i'll get a tape measure today. :-) and yes, my water intake has been horrible at best, esp. on the weekends. i try to drink 3 bottles while at work, but in the eve i stop. i'm usually up going to bathroom 3x while i'm sleeping. then it messes up my sleep. lately, i've consumed maybe one bottle and 2 cups of cyrstal lite.
PLAN: this week, i'm gonna celebrate b-day tomorrow, drink plenty water, watch my sodium, and monitor my exercise/intake. hope to have good news to report soon. shoot, i might even put the scale away for a week and not sweat it. ;-) (ha! i'd like to see that.) thanks everyone! |

(excuses, i know) :-p any insight on why i'm just maintaining? please share the wisdom. my goal is 160 by christmas, and CC said that i need to consume 1200 or 1400 a day. athena what do you think? with elizabethwall's example, perhaps i'm not eating enough. do tell. thanks CC family! |

| your right melody...i certainly see my legs getting tighter, but my obsession with wanting to see it on the scale is overtaking me. :-) i get on about 3-4 times in the AM (after potty, after shower, with pajamas, without pajamas). it's borderline OCD.
i'll be sure to do a lil exercise tonight to work off my ice cream. :-) thanks for the post! |

| actually calorie count has a "downstairs" activity. says it is about 247 per hour. just type downstairs in the activity section. i'm on the 16th floor in my building. i've walked down and walked back up. talk about a workout! i want to incorporate more often, at least twice a week. let's do it! | |||

| a simple, cheap, non-evasive solution... push up bra.
remember, it's fat that we don't need, so accentuate in another way. a fitted shirt and a miracle bra will make you look good. why go artificial? we're trying to be naturally beautiful here, aren't we? don't be discouraged! |

| unfortunately, the boobs are the first to go for me too. my husband said (after i lost weight and stopped nursing) that the (extra) boobs were just unneccesary fat that i didn't need. he's a keeper. :-) the pushups sound like a great idea. i'll try that too. i wonder did the exercises margaret did of Dear God It's Me, Margaret really work. | |||
