Weight Loss floppy skin Feb 21 2007
18:26 (UTC)
I have lost over 150 pounds and did it SLOWLY on Weight Watchers.  I carried the majority of my weight in my stomach.  I worked out like a fool and couldn't lose my tummy.  I opted to do a tummy tuck a year and a half ago and am SOOOOOO thankful!!  My tummy is now flat and I'm happy with my looks now.  I lost my weight over 2 years but sometimes the skin on our bodies is too streched out to repair on it's own!

I was just a mexican place last week and I ordered a burrito, minus the cheese, sour cream and guac.  I only ate the insides and none of the tortilla.  I figured it wasn't bad at all!

Of course, add me to your friends list!  I have lost over 200 pounds with weight watchers and I find the points work GREAT!!  I count points and log calories.  I find that I eat about 1400-1500 calories a day.  24 points.  I think 1,000 deficit is WAY too much unless your very overweight.  I try to stick with 500-700 deficit.  I workout 5x a week and burn between 700-900 calories.  I think I may eat a little too little (that makes ZERO sense) but I have a FREE day, Saturday where I eat a TON!  I figure it all balances out!!!  Maybe I'll get a before and after pic on here soon!!

Weight Watchers is a GREAT program!!  I have lost over 150 pounds following the points system.  I know they say you can eat whatever, but I find that refreshing.  Knowing I can have a cookie is WAY better for me then feeling like I CAN'T have something.  I don't do well being told I CAN'T have something.  On the same token, I WILL not WASTE my points on crap.  It makes me choose better foods so I feel more satisfied.  I think any program works if you follow it to a tee.  Just wanted those of you thinking of WW to know it's GREAT!!

Weight Loss Sagging skin from weight loss? Oct 17 2006

I would say that on a scale of 1-10, the pain was about a 8.  You have drain tubes and a big stitch across your entire stomach. They give you good pain meds and if you can, get a pain pump, that helps a lot!!  I would do it again in a minute!!

It took me 3 years to lose the weight and that was on Weight Watchers, NO SURGERY and excersising everyday!  In fact, I have only missed 1 day in 3 years!!!!!!!!!

I have some bad news..... you can't tighten up loose skin.  I have lost over 200 pounds and had a TON of extra skin on my stomach as I carried most of my weight there.  I tried my darndest to tighten in up and no such luck.  I went for a free consultation to a plastic surgeon and he said that once the skin is strechted so much for so long it will never refirm up.  So last October, on Halloween I had a tummy tuck and although the most painful thing EVER it was SOOOOOOOOOOOOO worth it!!!  I lost 8 pounds and inches galore!  I would reccommend this option to get rid of the skin.  It's too bad our skin is so picky!! :)

Well, I workout every morning M-F for 45 minutes and it's INTENSE!  I usually burn between 700-900 calories.  I work a desk job but am up and down a lot during the day.  I run around a bit after work too.  I consider myself Moderate due to the excersise.  I try to eat between 1500-1700 cals a day.  Works for me!

I am a DIE HARD excersiser and I only have 45 minutes in the morning before work.  I do the elliptical Tues and Thurs and the treadmill and elliptical M, W and F.  I burn between 700-900 calories working my tail off!!!  If you have the extra 15 minutes, I would encourage some strength training too.  Free weights in the best versus machines (according to my man who's a body builder).  Hope this helps!

I don't think my fat is too high.  It's all good fat, coming from egss, almonds etc....  I am a little low on my calories.  I should be eating about 1600 so I may have a extra snack or two.  I am feeling quite hungry today!

Well, I'm new to CC so October will be my FIRST full month!  Here are my goals:

#1.  Continue my 5x a week vigorous excersise regimen.

#2.  Consume between 1500-1700 calories a day on the days I excersise and 1300 on Sunday.

#3.  Have only ONE cheat day a week, Saturday ONLY!!

#4.  Limit my refined carbs and focus on whole grains.

#5.  Increase my lean protein each day.  I average only 30% or so and would like to see at least 40%.

#6.  Up my fat intake.  I only get 10-15 grams a day and would like to see 20%.

#7.  Keep my sodium intake BELOW 2200.  I have a hard time doing this.  I think limiting my "convience" foods will help.

#8.  Actually LOSE weight this month.  My goal is to lose 5 pounds.

Well, here's to a AWESOME October!!!

Ok, if I go to Sedentary it tells me 1312 calories a day and 2000 to maintain.  Is this right?

But if I excersise, I'm not Sedentary right?  So, how does that work?  I eat 1500 a day 3x a week and 1600 2x a week and then on the weekends, Saturday is my free day and Sunday I eat about 1300.
