A diet, is a diet, is a diet, stick with something you can do for the rest of your life. ATkins- if people take the TIME to read the ENTIRE plan calls for lean protein, veggies and fruit.  What you get rid of is all the white, overly processed, refined, unhealthy stuff.  The first two weeks on Atkins is like any other plan- they allow you to drop the weight fast.  Any diet works the question remains can you live like that?

Pet Peeves- people who think it is o.k. to cut me off.  I had a man do this to me, so  as soon as the light turned green I honked and honked and followed him, whenever he tried to turn without using a signal I honked.  I am sure I scared him, but I got my rage out.  People who try to get away with stuff- sister in law claims brother's ex-girlfriend lives with her so girlfriend can collect WIC $$.  Girlfriend lives in Mexico and crosses border only to collect$$. 

OCD- LOTS of them- cannot move or change channel if the time ends with a 3, 2:13, etc; pillows have to be facing the same way, if hubby puts them another way I change it.  I know I'm weird.

nlicea: I cook on the weekends and separate the foods into portion sizes for my husband and myself.  This weekend I marinated some chicken breasts in italian dressing and others in a chinese marinade.  Then I grilled them on a stove top grill.  I separated them into 5 meals.  I also made a roast, trimmed off the fat, and separated it into 5 meals as well.

Goals for today

1. Eat 5-6 small meals

2. Drink 8-10 glasses of water

3. Go to the gym

4. Last meal will be at 7:30

I did Atkins several years, then as now, the misconception is that you eat only meat and cheese.  NO- if you do it the right way, the books suggest that you eat lean meats, low- fat cheese and LOTS of low glycemic vegetables.  After the first 2 weeks, as with any diet, you begin to add more vegetables and fruits.  What you should never go back to is high processed, white, enriched foods.  I lotsx 20 pounds in a month and a half. 

People just took the diet to mean that they could eat all the bacon, ribs, chicken fat and steaks they wanted.

I do not think Burke will quit, but maybe he'll do something else on the show or this story can show how Christine can be depended on after what she did when he was shot.  The Izzy story has gone on long enough, let's get the show moving.  I would not mind seeing more of mc-steamy!!

I like to take a bunch of asparagus a drizzle 1/2 a tesp. of extra virgin olive oil on them, then sprinkle fajita seasonings on top and grill them.  YUMMMY!!!

I have breakfast everyday.  It helps me get my mind and body started for the day.  I also try to stop eating by 7:00 p.m. so by 5:30 the next morning I am hungry.
