Hi Tydeas...........I am not sure how often you have been on a diet. I finally refuse to call my eating habits a diet. Instead after 30 years of going up and down so many times a jojo can't keep up to me. I have found a way to loose weight and not feel guilty or deprived. I am sure there are many out there who are in the same boat. Don't eliminate anything from what you eat. Instead figure out how you can add that item and still loose weight. I know if I want a cream puff I can have it but I have to walk long enough to wear it off or cut down on other foods for that day. I plan what I will have in the morning and sometimes even days ahead. I found though it does not always work, when it doesn't I adjust. Exercise is a must and whenever I get lazy I don't loose. 1 year and 33 lbs lighter may not seem like much but it is victory for me. I have never been on a diet where I did not gain again during a year of dieting during the past 30 years. Now I can say I did and I have more to go. 45lbs to go and then maintenance. No more diets just eat and exercise and keep a balance between them. Good Luck and hope this helps..just being on calorie count is a great start. Regards Brigitte |

| nuts and fish are great too...canned tuna you can use it in simple things like stir into noodles or just add to a salad. I make soup using fat free half and half, water (as much as the cream)mushrooms, onions and a can of tuna. Fry the onions with the mushrooms in a tsp of butter then add the cream and finally mushrooms season with salt and pepper or steak spice..montreal steak spice is the best but is not available everywhere. Half and half tastes richer then milk. | |||

..when I am not happy I look to food or I just don't care if I eat or not. Not healthy but I am learning. A year ago I would not have admitted this. |

That is the kind of salad that I love too. Hummus is wonderful but I never thought to add it to my salad. Could make a dressing by adding vinegar and a little olive oil to it. So good for you too. Can I add you as a friend? You can add me if you wish. If any of you have never tried portabella mushrooms barbecued you have to try them only 7 calories per ounce. The huge ones, we get them at Costco are about 5 ounces so good. I brush them with a mixture of 1/2 tsp olive oil and sprinkle with Montreal Steak spice or any other steak spice mix will do the trick. Also great with soy sauce and garlic or Hosein Sauce and a little oil. Eat on a bun like a hamburger, sliced onions and tomato slices, mustard etc. GREAT low cal dinner.
