I'm actually part of a group, http://www.knownworldplayers.com/ , who does stage combat. Haven't had a ren faire in a few years what with all the cons we've been doing, but hopefully this next summer we'll have one! Regardless, we all go as pirates, wenches, and bellydancers to TennRen every year. It's great fun even if the weather is scorching.

Ahh yes, "whatever." The most compelling argument possible.
Who's fighting exactly? And who said anything to you about Germans anyways? None of that was directed at you.

Yes, because comparing a fifty pound pit bull to a five hundred pound tiger isn't silly at all. No. Never. Everything and everybody can kill, it's just a matter of who or what does kill and why.

I might direct you to http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pit_Bull so that you, too, can do a bit more research. I would also like to say that I own a pit bull so I do have more experience than someone who doesn't like dogs or has never actually been around one and instead prefers to go on what they hear. I have had him since he was eight weeks old, and from that age we trained him never to bite, even in play. He has never shown any sign of aggression to ANYONE. When he meets new people he is always happy to see them and never growls. He may tear up the occasional shoe now and then, but that's as far as it goes. I also have an older German Shepherd who has never turned on me, want to bash them as well?

Well, I'm up to 165 and I had two hours of exercise this week. Blah.

Surgery is a horrible idea...I had a little keloid on my shoulder. Key word had. I had it removed twice, had steroid injections, even some sort of radiation treatment. Now I'm stuck with an ugly inch long big bump. I've tried scar creams and scar patches, but before it does anything I get impatient and give up. Now I feel inspired to try putting some Vitamin E on it, hehe.

Hey! I'm on Myspace and have the same goals. I'm 20, 5'6", and the same weight as you are. I could use some motivation too, so it sounds great to me.

I'm still here too! Moved into my new house and holidays are over, so, no more excuse not to exercise. Off to the gym with me!

Technically it's still friday so I can post right? Well...it's been a rough bit. I had a small breakdown two days ago when the scale read 167.  I didn't expect it to be that bad, but I had it coming. This morning I was back down some to 164. Sorry team. I'm trying really hard to eat enough and make it good food. I went grocery shopping last night and bought lots of fruits. I even found cherries! That got me excited.

I made 2.5 hours of exercise this week. That's gotta help some.

Alright everybody, I've done the nearly impossible and taken away all excuse to not go to the gym. I went this morning and did my workout, then noticed that they are hiring. So I pretty much have the job of daycare person, and they're going to train me to teach a class. Woo!! I'm so excited. I can work my way up to sales and make some decent money, so it looks all good. Happy day. That should take care of all the extra school weight I could put on when I go back to school spring semester.

So for record's sake, I did an hour of working out today. Awesome. I'm proud of myself.

I tried to read and catch up on all the good stuff, but I always come back when there's tons of pages to read and I feel so behind. Sigh. I think I'm getting a computer for Christmas so...*crosses fingers*

Wow I'll be glad when I get a computer so I can stay up to date....On the subject of writing, I've been toying with writing a book lately. I have all sorts of spare time and it's something I kept meaning to do but never did. And hey, there's all sorts of stupid books for sale at bookstores, my odds must be ok. It's a sort of fiction/life experience type thing. Wish me luck?

I'm not sure what I weigh today. I was too scared to look. If it helps I don't feel all bloated and gross. I did 2 hours of Pilates this week so I'm proud. It wasn't easy! My dog had a habit of sneaking up on me when I'd have some weird pose and then he would proceed to lay his squeaky toy under me. Ah well. Such is life with dogs.

pearl, you didn't sound condescending at all. You were being helpful and I appreciate it. It's not that I'm scared of calories really, I got over that a while ago. I just don't feel hungry sometimes or else I don't have any food. I'm practically living alone because the rest of my family can't stand being at home since my mom died last year, and I have no need to keep much food around.. Usually I have some cereal or something on hand. It's sad stuff, and one reason I can't wait to move in with my boyfriend in the next week or so. I'm much happier when I have someone around to cook for and socialize with. Anyways. I ate this so yummy jalapeno cheeseburger today, and I didn't feel too yucky by the time I was done. Then I had some chicken strips for dinner....not sure how much that all adds up to but I'll try to find out.

Congrats on the housing offer! Some people don't realize how important that is....the dorm I lived in last year was just closed down because of all the nasty mold it had. Yay campus maintenance!

Thanks pearl for being encouraging. I know it's a horrible habit, if you will, one that I've had for awhile. I've been doing much better the last few months..and then suddenly I was just like oh well. My goal this week is to eat no less than 1300 cals a day. Preferably healthy ones. I even went grocery shopping and bought fruit! My other goal is to get in at least 2.5 hours of Pilates.

well it's 3 AM but technically still Friday so I can update. Good news is, I lost a pound and got in an hour and a half of Pilates this week. Bad news is, today's the first day in about a week that I've had more than 600-700 calories. Yeah. Things will probably go downhill soon. This week has sucked. I've lost my job, my dad is changing his mind about helping me with college tuition although he said he would, and I've been fighting with the realtor about all sorts of details that shouldn't be debatable. Woo! Karma hates me. Though looking at it in writing, it doesn't seem like the end of the world. Ah well.

Hey! I'm at my boyfriend's, so I don't have a scale, but I really don't feel that much different. Maybe that's a good sign. I actually haven't been eating enough the past few days. I've had family problems and might be without a job so I've been too upset to eat more often than not. I did manage to get in 30 minutes of Pilates yesterday!! That's gotta be worth something.

I got the Pilates Powerhouse DVD set. It was kinda expensive, but I had some birthday money left over so I thought I'd use it for something useful. Now, to make it useful! That's the tricky part.

I went grocery shopping today but I couldn't find anything I wanted. Oh well. Think I'm in a food slump. Well! Just checking in. Glad to see things look like they're going really well.

I'm still here! I somehow gained 2 pounds, so I'm a little ashamed :( I've been eating healthy, but not exercising, unless you count packing for the move :P Today I plan on going to Target and getting a Pilates video so I can have something productive to do at home. My home laptop doesn't work, so don't be surprised if I don't show up a whole lot over weekends. I get online when I can use my boyfriend's. I'll have to post my Friday weigh-ins at work on Friday mornings..Sorry team B, you have my word I'll do better this week!

On of my friends is actually a gymnast! When she's not busy teaching the little kids or at school, we'll probably work out together. She tried teaching me cartwheels. It was horrible. I got halfway there though! Either way she'll be great inspiration. I've always been jealous of her body, but then once she said she was jealous of my curves. Ironic eh?
Walking does count as exercise I'm sure, they have it listed in the activities. You can always estimate what speed you were going and just try to keep track of how long you walk.

I was still on my happy workout buzz, so I smiled and said there was no telling how much longer I would be. I giggled to myself when some other non-rude woman got on the machine right after I got off. Hey  pearllillee, we have the same schedule! I spend most of my time either on here or checking out the local job market. Might as well be productive.

haha luna, I always feel uncomfortable at the gym is there's one other person there. There's this whole "would it be weird to say hi?" or "damn, they're using the machine next to the one I want, they'll think I'm weird if I workout right beside them in this huge gym" deal going on. I think it's better when there's lots of people all working out. Herd mentality I suppose. *shrug* Gyms can be weird. Once, I was so proud of my goal that day to go 30 mins. on the elliptical, and 20 minutes in some rude woman came up and asked if I was done with it yet in a quite snotty voice. Hmph.

(sorry for rambling, work is lonely)

The eat meter sounds intimidating, I'm glad I didn't get it. Though, while sitting at a desk all day it can be easy to overeat so I see how it could be useful.

Does anyone else feel shy about workout videos? I'm about to move in with my boyfriend and two of our friends. I can't get my boyfriend to go run with me, I doubt he'll be up for Pilates and I'd feel a little weird being the only one working out in the middle of the living room. Just wondering if anyone has the same experience. I've always been too shy for my own good...

Man, I had a horrible day yesterday. Sick day splurging. I got a cheeseburger from Jack in the Box. I've been so good the last couple of months, and I split it up between two meals, but wow. Apparently I put on 2.5 pounds. I'm wondering how much of this is because of the dreaded sodium. Cheeseburgers are bad, but not 6000 calories bad. I even ate light the rest of the day. Sigh. Just wanted to confess I guess.

I had an ok "Pilates" video saved on my laptop at home, called the New Method Pilates. It had this really weird African drumbeat music, but it was better than the 80's sitcom type music they normally have. Nice and rythmical. I don't think it was strictly Pilates either. There were lots of random stretches and kickboxing poses and such. But it was still better than doing nothing. My home laptop died, and now I'm looking for a decent video to buy.

Actually! I don't post much but I'm so excited I must share...I just got off the phone with a guy I started talking to online about..oh..6 years ago. It started off that we would talk when we were playing hooky from school, and we became great friends. Tried internet dating before realizing how hard it was. But, next month he'll be coming to spend a week with me and another friend of ours. Can't wait!!

I'm at 5'7. Supposedly I'm a small frame...never really thought of
myself as one though. I'm about 157 lbs this morning.  I'd really
like to get down to 140. I want to see how I like that before I decide
whether or not to shoot for 130...I'd really prefer to lose a few sizes
and not let the numbers worry me. But there's something really
satisfying about seeing a few pounds drop. I used to starve and binge
on a regular basis since I was about 14. My body isn't too happy with
me. It's something I really need to work on, but I'm tons better now
than I used to be. I'm glad that forums like these exist, so much more
motivation than reading articles all day long!
