OH MY GOSH,That is just wonderful. I think I was in contact with you before I stopped coming here. I just moved away from my home and got into a whole lifestyle of eating in restaurants. But I remember postings about someone whose husband was leaving for Iraq. Even if that was someone else, I think what you have done is wonderful. I don't know if this is a surprise for your husband or not. But either way it will be a thrill for him to see you so trim and fit. I hope you have someone to babysit at least one night so you two can have some alone time during his visit. You have done something wonderful for yourself and your family. |

HI Flea, I am so ecxited to see a person closer to my age. By the way five pounds in that time period is really good and healthy. I am going to keep an eye on this thread and maybe I can find some inspiration here. I recently turned 64, but don't feel it. My children have always told me that I don't act my age. You look as if you are young at heart too. Welcome aboard, and have fun. |

Maybe the exercise is a factor. I also think that some days you are just more hungry. Maybe you were still filled up from what you ate the day before. Did you have a late dinner. Our bodies have a mind of their own sometimes. I would not worry and just remember you are a work in progress. As long as you are going in the right direction, I wouldn't worry about those occasional hungry days. |

Hi twinkles, I would like to be a friend. I too have had problems with portion control. I suggest using measuring cups and spoons. My worst is creamer in my coffee. I have had to cut back from what I guessed was 2 tbsp. to what really is tbsp. I try to find the strength to have fruit or veggies when I really am hungry. I also occasionally allow myself to have one of the haloween size candies, but have to go to a store that sells them individually. I can't have a bunch of junk around. just plug away and the weight will come off. Feel free to ask any questions. I started at 247 a couple of years ago and took off for a long time. Now I am 212 and counting and loosing. Go for it, I'm sure that now you see how it goes on you will be able to get it going off.

| I am so sorry for what you are going through. I lost my mom almost six years ago and still "talk" to her often. It is a great help to me. When I am spending time with the rest of the family, I almost feel that she is there sitting on my shoulder and watching what is going on. It is really hard to loose a family member. As for your being tired. One thing that might help is to just go for a quiet walk somewhere. If you are able to walk in a rural area or large park, it might help you feel more centered. Take time to see the beauty of nature around you. that will get you moving and make it easier to sleep at night. It will also get your endorphins going. Last of all, not having an appetite is sort of a good thing for right now. Try to eat only very healthy foods and eat lightly. I know it will take time, but you can get through this. Cry, cry, cry. The release is wonderful. I will be thinking of you. | |||

| You have a great attitude about weight loss. I love that you said at the end that for the last two years you weighed liter than the year before. I have a lot to loose and it will take quite a long time. But with your post you made me feel that maybe I can loose all that I want to. Thanks | |||

don't get worried. Since you had breakfast and clothes that probably added weight. You should always weigh with the same amount of clothes. If you were weighing before with no clothes or just undies, then you have probably lost |

| Hi missryan, I too have a long time back injury. One of the best things you can do is walk. I try to walk everyday. It helps loosen up all the muscles and that is where some of the pain comes from. Walking really helps me. When I forst hurt my back, I could hardly walk at all. Now I am able to walk a mile and a half. I too need support and encouragement so would be glad to add you as a friend. Best of luck and just keep plugging. I am sure that you will be a beautiful bride in June. | |||

| Hi, I am new to this forum and just looking over the last few days posts, I feel like I have found a home. As for the viruses I suggest "Zicam". It is a homeopathic remedy sold in grocery and drug stores. It comes in different forms and really helps with the congestion. Also if you use at first sign of a cold or congestion it will wipe it out in a couple of days. Even with a full blown cold it will make you stop feeling bad after two or three days. Just remember to keep using for a couple of days after you feel better. That works for me. The tummy thing I don't know just what to do. Thanks to all you folks for having this group. | |||

| I think your mail problem is the temperature. If you have a gas stove it should be ok to just put it on the open door. If you use electric, I would turn it on the the lowest temp and try putting the dough in a bowl on the open door. Another thing is to use warm water to activate the years. It gets it going much faster than cold water. Hope this helps. Good for you to try to make more healthy food for yourself. Fresh bread from the oven is a real treat. Also if you are afraid of eating too much at one time, you can make individual rolls in a cake pan. | |||
