| Weight Loss | drunken munchies... | May 06 2007 18:25 (UTC) |

| Oh man, I get drunken munchies like it's my job! I do have somewhat of a solution that can work part of the time. Buy a large bottle of water and down it before you touch any food. This is a normal portion control trick, but it works especially well when you are drunk because you are very dehydrated, (also a good trick when you are blazed). | |||

| Thea8 - I do maintain 1300 calories per day on the special k. I would have been at my goal weight already except that I go out with my friends on the weekends a lot to dinner and drinks and then midnight snacks, which totally sabotages my diet. :-( What do you find makes it hard for you to lose? Pinthin - Do you really want to lose 10 pounds? I feel like that would be too thin. The thinnest I ever was at that height was 116 lbs, not even on purpose I was just really active with intense soccer for several hours a day. A lot of people would comment and be like OMG you're arms are so thin and your collar bone sticks out! Lol, not very flattering comments. I think you would probably look and feel much better around 116-120, instead of 110-114. (but that's just my opinion) Anyway, good luck! |

| Yea I can understand that, but since I don't live at home it's not that big of a problem for me. You could try talking to them about it and saying it's only two weeks and it's not that drastic of a diet. You eat a completely normal dinner, for lunch you can have a bowl of cereal or a meal bar, then you can eat as much fruit and vegetables as you want for snacks, and for breakfast it's a bowl of cereal again. I'm also wondering if the weight is going to stay off, I've only been doing it for a week, more or less, but not even perfect everyday. I really hope the weight will stay off too but I will probably have to watch what I eat for a while until I am really stable at my goal weight. I really think the only thing that has helped me lose already has been that I don't eat a massive lunch and instead eat a small lunch and then a snack before dinner. You could always try that instead of the special k diet. Maybe it will work? |

| Hey! Well I just started a couple days ago on the Special K diet and I've already lost 4 pounds! It's great because it's so much easier when you have specific things you have to eat all day instead of always counting calories. I also do yoga twice a week, soccer once a week, and try to get to the gym when I have free time. I've actually been trying to diet since september, but I also end up ruining it. This is the first time I'm actually being serious about it since it's almost summer! Maybe you can try the Special K diet too? I'm eating about 1,300 calories per day, more if I work out. |

| Just a quick suggestion, Try eating a small lollipop everytime you have a craving or are doing something that you associate with smoking (for me it was walking to the subway). A blowpop is around 60 calories, and the smaller ones must be less! I feel that the similar shape and act of bringing something to your mouth repeatedly helps to replace cigarettes. Good luck! |
