frandorra---My numbers are pretty close to yours, i am 5'6 and 157lbs and i am a size 8. I also go down to about a size 6 when i hit the 140s

I'm in the active duty Air Force... My real job is teaching troops how to wear their chemical and Biological protective gear (gas mask and stuff) in a classroom/ hands on setting, but right now they have me working in the Deployment office so i basically make sure everyone has their medical appointments and gear and stuff ready before they go out to door to go overseas...So i sit at a desk for alot of the day.

I really don't get too tired during the day, but i eat quite a bit of calories each day usually around 1800-2100. I mainly do it for stress relief. My husband just started going to underwater welding school in Houston which is 6 hours away from me, and then someone stole my dog last week, so i mainly do it so i don't have to think about anything else. But on days i am feeling sore i will usually switch it up to something more low impact, or take the night off. But typically i am just fine. thanks for the concern though ;)

Here are my stats:

Current weight: 157 (whoohoo 1 down after the weekend)

Oct 31st Goal: 149 (8 lbs...Pretty tough goal, but i thought i would set the bar high ;)

hahaha...when i switched over to the "upgraded" calorie count it said you like....Salad, fat free italian dressing and bud light! i was toally called out by the new program...but it made me laugh out loud :P

...i get the same kind of food suggestions though... for instense instead of spinach salad it recommeded romain lettuce...but maybe that was a better suggestion with all of the ecoli scares going around....:)

I like this thread because there are alot of carido junkies like me ;)

Here is my average routine:

Monday/Wednesday: AM: 35-45 minute PT (military) which includes: push ups/ situps and usually running for about 2-3 miles PM: 60 minutes on the elliptical  estimate: 1000-1200 cal

Tuesday/Thursday: 60 minutes on elliptical (says 720 cal, but probably around 650cal)

Friday:Morning PT (military) push ups/sit ups running 2-3 miles 550ish cal

Saturday: 60 minutes on elliptical- 650 ish

Sunday: 60 minutes on elliptical- 650 ish

My October goal is to add weight training on tues, thurs, and saturdays alternating between upper body and lower body...

Hey Everybody!

Abilene Texas (soon to be Houston! woohoo!)

Here are my stats...

Age:23

Height:5'6

Weight:158lbs

Goal: 135lbs

Start date: Sept 14th (starting weight 160 boo!)

I am originally from Iowa...but i loved texas even before i moved here :) Then i went ahead and married my very own texan two years ago and i am still waiting for the go ahead to start claiming i'm a "real" texan...my husband says i can claim it afer 10 years! but i have already been here for almost 5, so i'm almost half way there ;)

I LOVE Texas and i never want to move to any other state!!

Sounds like fun...i actually have more then ten lbs to loose, but this is a good starting point...

Thanksgiving Goal: 145

Overall goal: 130- 135lbs (and we'll have to see from there ;)

This is a really great goal for me because that is around the time i will be visiting all of my family (on both sides) So it will be nice to have lost a good amount of weight by then! Yeah i'm excited!!

Here is a question...kind of on the same topic... Is it still considered a binge if you stay within your daily limit?? Since i started working out again (60 min cardio 6 nights a week plus 3 days of weights) I will do great all day at work, and then when i get home i am ravenous. Like last night i went home and had 5 snackwell devils food cookies, a large bowl of honeynut cheerios and 5 pizza bites!! as soon as i got home. But at the end of the day i was still within my limit. Is this terrible?

fma424---i know exactly how you feel, i tend to work out anywhere from 750cal to 1300cal per day and my intake has to be so high that i usually have some kind of sweets to offset my numbers. I guess i should try the whole extra nuts/peanut butter idea...but i do love my "treat" each day :)

I am a huge ice cream fan...and lactose inntolerant (go figure)...but i take a pill and head for the carton. There are always the skinny cow brand ice cream, fudge pops, and i just found out two days ago that the snickers ice cream bars (look like the candy bar) only have 180 calories! So they have become my new vice ;) Chin up, you are definatly not alone. I like to eat the ice cream...and then just add about 10 more minutes to my workout...so i don't feel as guilty :)

I feel your pain...I do a lot of cardio (about 60 minutes as 6 nights a week) plus light weight training 3 days a week, so i have to take in about 1800-2000 calories per day. I have yet to have a day where i got up to 2000 calories without having something on the list that is...lets just say "less then healthy" :) (i love ice cream!!) But i will keep an eye on this post because i would also like to know how people can get 2000 calories in without an "unhealthy" snack..or two :) thanks for the post!

Hi, I am 5'6 (I actually grew an inch last year!) and i currently weight 158 (down from 162 two weeks ago). I am aiming for 130 right now. I got down to 128 about two years ago and my husband...boyfriend at the time told me to go eat a burger...well we see where his advice got me ;) I am currently a size 8 - I tend to carry my weight really well...but i would definatley rather not carry it at all! :) Good luck ladies!!!

Thanks for the advice omaeva...i will look at my elliptical tonight and see if i can figure out how to set the stride.

* I tried the lunges and squats last night and i was working areas i didn't even realize i had muscles at! I definately felt it this morning...Woohoo!

Do you have a bike? That would probably help you tone up your legs quite a bit. That is one of the first things i notice about cyclist is they always have amazing legs. I also like the bike idea because just about anybody can do it. :) Hope this helps! Good luck and great job so far!

...oh yes the dreaded weights :p ...I knew i would have to start to incorporate them sooner or later. But now for the sake of my butt it looks like i will have to start :) *thanks Michael of the great advice. I will start incorporating some squats and lunges into my routine and see how that goes. I do have a question though...I do alot of cario typically 60 min 6 days a week, and an additional 30-45 minutes mon, wed, & fri mornings. When would be the best time to do the lunges and squats...before or after my cardio? any advice would be greatly appreciated. thanks again

I have been out of town for about a week and a half, so for last week i had 227, and last night i did 68 bringing me up to

227 + 68 + 380= 675/1750...a little bit behind because of last week :(

I just got back...well last night from my two day kyaking trip..we did 20 miles over two days....the first day we did 6 hours and the second day we did 3 1/2 hours (570 minutes total)....

1211 + 570= 1781/1750  Woohooo....goal met!
