Hereagain, I didn't realise you were one of those horrors that try to ruin peoples lives but let me introduce myself to you. I am a VERY positive person I am fat but being sarcastic and mean to me wont ruin my life in fact I have followed your ramblings for today and had a jolly good laugh.... you are quite funny. So save your fingers in trying to think of mean things to type because quite frankly you wont get to me but if your life is so sad that you have to write nasty things feel free to use my page so I can carry on laughing at your ignorance.

I actually heard giving up carbs altogether on a diet is not a good thing to do as when you come off the diet there are so many carbs everywhere that you just pile the pounds on so I dont think giving them up altogether is a very good suggestion.

Oh wow jenniferger, I love pearled barley when it comes in soup, never thought to use it instead of rice, have never heard of quinoa or kamut but I will look into that too thanks.

Have never ever heard of lettuce wraps either kellywood is this because I come from england lol but am really looking forward to trying them tomorrow, I take it you just wrap your filling in a lettuce leaf??

And just another quick question, instead of bread I now eat bagels mainly because i can manage then without any spread on, is this better than bread? If i actually fancy a sandwich with bread I use weight watchers bread which again I suppose is better than normal bread.

Frogkissin you say unsalted almonds which I love any kind of nuts and most seeds too which I heard were good for you in small portions but when I look on the packet the fat content is massive so have stopped using pumpkin and sunflower seeds and nuts in my salads. Do you think I should start using them again or is it best to stear clear??

yeah i eat all wholemeal pasta and rice and it may sound easy but until someone actually said it i didn't even think of making my portions smaller, I have a big problem with having to eat everything on my plate so now i only put half on. If i am still hungry i can have more but i dont eat too much.

Weight Loss Depression and Eating Sep 25 2006

Hi all, I suffer with depression too and find I eat to "make myself feel better".. If something goes wrong or the days not feeling right i'll have something to eat to make me feel better... and it does make me feel better just not look good but as i am writing down my calories and hopefully watching my charts go down it seems alot easier for me not to eat to feel better as i lose weight that makes me feel the best ever!!!

Am feeling good today.

Once I input my food to get the calories I can really see where the fat is coming from, It really is easy to eat alot of calories in a day!!!!

Thanx tubbyt for your reply and info easy to get back when you know how! i'm glad you feel so good in your first week. I've been watching what i eat for about 6 weeks but just started counting calories using this site yesterday. I think i've lost 8lbs going by the scales but don't feel it in myself, was hoping as i was so overweight by giving up alcohol and changing my eating i would have lost a dress size but i'm still going and hopefully as they say slow weight loss is best and soon will see it in my clothes too altho i suppose i will have to buy a new wardrobe if that happened suddenly. so not sure whats best. I've started cycling if this helps you as maybe you could get one of those infant carriers and take your 2 yr old with you, maybe after work, I know its hard for you and easy for me to comment not having your busy life but just a suggestion :-)

Hi everyone, i've never wrote on anything like this before and not too sure i'll be able to find it again but i just wanted to say i've managed to join up and log on and enter todays diet and what a truly amazing site this is. Just what i need and hopefully i will be able to get back here and make some friends. It's wonderful to read about people in the same situation as me and go through this weight loss with others. I am going to try and write abit about myself if i can find my page. Good luck to everyone here and hope to be back tomorrow. xx
