Yeah, this was a rough weekend! :)  Then the junk food for the hangover didn't help either.  Today is a new day and hopefully will be back on track for the rest of this week and next month.

I should have written this down this morning so I wouldn't forget, but I believe I was 155.4 when I weighed myself.  That is down 1.4 pounds from last Friday!!

I'm pretty proud of myself today.  Went to the Sox game - ate a decent amount of junk, but not too bad.  I was tired when I got home and lazy, but I still jumped on the elliptical for 20!  Hopefully I'll have lost a little tomorrow.  We'll see!

I'd like to share my Yay! moment of the day.  I have some leftover Olive Garden that I brought to work for lunch.  I was logging it in before eating and discovered that my 1 breadstick is 150 calories.  I logged it anyway although I thought I should really go throw it out.  I decided I may want it anyway, so I didn't.  When lunch time came around, I decided it was not worth it and threwit out before even heating up the rest of the food.  Yay! :)

Thank you keoconnor, my issue isn't the eating some chocolate, it is that there are 2 candy jars of it that people feel it necessary to bring to work.  I have been being really good for the past week or 2, but in the past, I like to have it because it is there, not because I am craving it.  I ask these people not to bring it in, but everyone else likes it being there.  Sometimes it just calls to me! :)  I'm trying to be good, though!

I knew I'd be going out to eat over the weekend, so I tried to eat very carefully during the day.  I think that worked really well.  I did go over my calorie limits, but I also got some nice workouts in with the nice weather.

I'm going to put my starting weight at today's weight: 156.8.  I'd like to try to get to 146.8 by 6/26 - six weeks from today!

My problem is that it is hard to stay motivated.  I am kind of lazy! :)

I was good all day yesterday until I got home.  I'm on this popcorn kick.  I at least make it myself - yesterday I used coconut oil - although high in saturated fat (which I'm not worried about because I don't eat meat and don't eat a lot of saturated fat anyway), still healthy.  The popcorn itself is not bad, except for all the carbs, it's the salt that does it!

I think I may need some suggestions for cravings.  I don't want to substitute with tea or gum, I need something actually healthier - I already eat a lot of fruit and veggies.  Sometimes I just want some chocolate or popcorn!  Any suggestions?

Also, how do you guys stay motivated to work out?

I think you can order non-perishable foods from amazon.com or amazon grocery or something.  You should look into doing that and having soups/canned/dried foods shipped to you.

Most Mexican restaurants' refried beans are made with lard--you should ask for black beans instead.  Also, Mexican rice is sometimes made with beef broth.  Most onion soups come from a beef broth base also--you may want to call ahead!  I like to get vegetable fajitas with black beans on the side.  It may not be on the menu, but they can still make it.

I am 5' 5", 180 and I recently saw a dietician.  She said I should be getting somewhere between 60 and 80 grams of protein a day!

I am a new vegetarian--about 4 months now.  I am still learning to try new things--ie soy and tofu and such, but I do find it hard to get enough protein.  I have started taking suppliments because I think lack of protein was making me lathargic.

I don't always eat breakfast, sometimes just a piece of fruit, does that count?  Is there a certain number of calories you should consume to consider it a meal?

The hard thing is, I don't have a clue what they are talking about.  If I've never heard of the name of the food, how can I tell what is in it and if I'm going to like it?  Can you tell me some popular dish names and what they consist of?

I think they are really good--just like the real thing.  I have had them in the microwave and on a George Forman grill--both good.  You can also put them on a real grill, but be careful, they cook fast and will burn.  I also find them by the produce--near the organic foods.

Read the book--it is factual and graphic, but really really good!  It made me go vegetarian and I would eventually like to go vegan, but it is hard.

I'm not Indian, but I'm a vegetarian and someone was telling me to look up Indian recipes because I can eat a lot of good foods with vegetables with a lot of flavor.

Do you have any suggestions on where I could find fairly easy recipes and tell me what's good?
