| I hope ya'll don't judge me by this reply.
I am 5 foot 4 and weigh 155 lbs with 25% body fat. Many moons ago, at 128 lbs and 16% body fat I was a stripper. These are photos of me back then: http://i14.photobucket.com/albums/a312/divine design21/summer.jpg http://i14.photobucket.com/albums/a312/divine design21/beach3.jpg Now, I am a mom, go to church and all that, but I can attest to the fact that it's great exercise! |

| Thanks for sharing your story yellow! I'm proud of you! Keep up the good work.
I am full and cannot believe I have to eat AGAIN tonight. Wow. I had a good time shopping at Wal Mart tonight because I didn't have to do anything complicated at all. Just picked up some whole wheat english muffins and what's best of all...I got some of those Kettle Cooked potato chips that have NOTHING in them but potatoes and sea salt cooked in sunflower oil! The best thing about all this is...for some weird reason, I'm not craving sweets today. |

| bigtwinky....I'm set to eat this way the rest of my life. I don't forsee changing anything...ever. I love the foods I am allowed to eat. In fact, I've eaten four times today, been full all day and so far only had 1200 calories and I have 2 more meals left.
There's a cheat day included in this diet too. I like that! I made a distinct decision NOT to go on anymore diets. That's why I chose this particular way of eating because it closely resembles the way I already eat, I'm just not eating breads unless it's whole wheat and other stuff like that. I'm totally satisfied with what I get to eat and won't change my eating habits even when I get back down to 135. |

| Make sure to have 2 of the above at each meal. Eat six times a day. Dairy for calcium, eggs and fish for Omega 3's, Nuts for Omega 3's and good fats.....etc....
So far, from what I've read, it seems sensible, like something I can really follow and not freak out on! Usually I end up so hungry that I eat an entire cake and a big mac and lots of other stuff! I basically read up on the nuts and bolts of it at Barnes and Noble's today and then I bought the sidekick book that has all the meal plans and recipies. He stresses protein smoothies (an idea I love!) and oh yeah, the biggest factor he says is NOT aerobics but building lean muscle to rev up your metabolism. Makes sense to me. I like weights better than walking anyway. I've got a "before" picture and I'm gonna keep you guys posted on my progress for the next six weeks! Wish me luck! |

| It's just like all those playboy models who claim to be 5 foot 10 and 105 lbs. They're LYING.
I was a size FOUR when I weighed 130 lbs. and I'm 5 foot 4. The last time I weighed 105 was when i was 12. |

| Weight Loss | Don't eat after... | Nov 01 2006 00:51 (UTC) |

| From what I've read in a few books lately it says that our bodies (no matter what time we go to sleep) automatically start slowing our metabolism down about 8pm. Our bodies go into "eliminate and repair" mode and if we eat during this mode our body has extra work to do when it has to digest food on top of eliminating and repairing. You may find it difficult to lose weight if you eat late. | |||

| Beverages containing caffeine and alcohol have a diuretic effect, and several other foods including celery, onion, eggplant, asparagus and watermelon are said to have a diuretic effect. In addition, the herbs hawthorn, corn silk, and parsley are used as diuretics in natural medicine. Of these, hawthorn, (crataegus oxycanthus) is the most powerful. If you have a medical condition for which diuretics are prescribed, you would be much better off following your physician's recommendation than trying to treat yourself with alternative remedies. | |||

| I consider myself lucky. I hate soda. It's got no nutritional value at all plus like one of the posters above said....it's can clean toilets very effectively.
When i was on Atkins I was drinking stuff sweetened with Aspartame or Sucralose and I couldn't lose weight. When I stopped drinking stuff with artifical sweetners, I lost weight. Sugar is sugar is sugar is sugar.... |

| I used to be ultra thin as a teenager. I ate anything I could get my hands on but I was also involved in basketball, softball, track, ballet, and I walked everywhere I went, including school. Once I had a baby all that changed. I began putting on weight.
I am currently about 35 pounds overweight. I just started a new way of healthy eating as of yesterday. |

| Weight Loss | Is there such a thing as too much fruits? | Oct 25 2006 14:35 (UTC) |

| Fruits should be eaten in the morning when your body needs carbs. You don't need carbs before you go to sleep. Carbs are ENERGY and you don't need energy to sleep. | |||
| Weight Loss | Don't eat too late | Oct 13 2006 15:35 (UTC) |

| The best reason not to eat late is because at night your body is supposed to be eliminating and repairing. It cannot digest food and eliminate and repair all at the same time. It does one or the other. So if you want to feel energetic and light in the morning with energy to start your day, don't eat late at night. | |||

| I have to be the one to say that I am pretty positive our bodies are run by cycles and that includes eating. There's a time when we should eat and a time when we should not eat. The body is an extremely intelligent system that cannot usually be tricked. Our metabolism slows down at night no matter how many calories you burn during the day. You can't stop your natural rhythm...it's built in. Your body knows when it's day and it knows when it's night. You will absolutely lose more weight if you don't eat after 8 p.m.
I eat anything and everything all day long, but I don't eat after 8 and I've lost a lot of weight. I think it was almost 10 pounds the first week I stopped eating at night. I eat dinner around 5 or 6 and I don't eat until the next morning. Try an experiment. Eat all your calories at night while you're sleeping. Get up three times a night and eat a meal. If you don't gain weight, I'll buy you a car. |
