*sigh* I cannot WAIT to get my first pumpkin spice latte of the year this weekend :) The pumpkin spice latte and the gingerbread latte are my favorite treats in the winter months!!

Plus I love canned puree'd pumpkin in my oatmeal and mixed with cool whip and then frozen yummm

When I first learned how to cook meals for myself I found the easiest things for me to start with were egg white omelettes and stir-frys. Because with each of those meals you can have so much variety so that even though the cooking technique is the same, you won't get bored with the taste.

For the omelettes I throw in slices of lean lunch meats, onions, green peppers, fat free cheese etc. I just spray the pan with Pam Spray, crack a few eggs and pour just the egg whites into the pan, and then I cook it on medium heat while throwing my additions in and then i flip the omelette when it's set.

And with the stir-frys you can either use a wok or a large pan/skillet and spray it with Pam or olive oil and throw in veggies like green beans, broccoli, squash, onions, spinach etc and then for protein you can throw in some shrimp, canned tuna, or diced chicken breast and cook it all together while adding different spices or tomato sauces.

Just try experimenting, you may not end up with masterpieces in the beginning but you have to start somewhere :)

Hello everyone!!

This week went ok for me I guess. During the week I try to stick to around 1200-1300 calories so that way on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday I can get around 1600+ calories for mroe freedom. But 1200 calories has just been too low for me. Last night at around midnight my tummy was rumbling so loud so I ran downstairs and had a bowl of Fiber One cereal...so at least I didn't binge. So throughout the week I ate more around 1400 calories but exercised 4 consecutive days so far.

Tonight my boyfriend is taking me to dinner and a movie. He chose California Pizza Kitchen for dinner so I ate a light breakfast, a light lunch, and for dinner I'm going to get the new Morrocan Chicken Salad with the dressing on the side. And instead of getting candy for the movie like I used to I'm going to grab a coffee instead. Now hopefully I stick to this plan lol i'm going to try to be active throughout the weekend and make good choices because weekends are always my weakness. I wish everyone luck!

on the road for the 2nd half of my day so I had to grab salads on the road:

Breakfast: Oatmeal, a banana, 2 egg whites, skim milk, and blueberry coffee (320)

Lunch: ChickFilA Southwest Chargrilled Chicken Salad, Fat free Honey Mustard, Small fruit cup, Diet Dr Pepper (350)

Dinner: Subway Grilled Chicken Breast salad, fat free sweet onion dressing, a bag of sliced apples, yogurt, Diet coke (295)

Snacks: Baby Carrots (60) and Wasabi peas (150) and another coffee with creamer (45)

Calories so far (1220) : today is my rest day but I'm still going to have an after dinner snack to get to atleast 1400

So far so good this week (even though it's only Tuesday...babysteps lol) Yesterday and today have been filled with lean proteins, veggies, fruit, and non-fat yogurt and I'm staying just under 1400 calories and going to the gym again tonight :)  One day at a time

Yep I definitely messed up this past weekend. I’m going to need a new start date.

I went to the ocean for the weekend with my mom and we drank and ate horribly. And then last night I went to a family dinner at my boyfriend’s mother’s house and she made Crab Spaghetti and salad (which I had huge amounts of each) and then she had homemade cookies and lemonbars….drooooool! So I told my boyfriend last night that I am getting back on track and that I need his help to keep me motivated. So here we go again!

I make awesome Butternut Squash fries. I cut the butternut squash into fry-like strips and then I wrap them in a papertowel to blot them to take out some of the moisture. And then I lay them on a cookie sheet and spray them with Pam Spray and sprinkle them with salt and Old Bay seasoning. I then bake them for 40 minutes at 425 degrees and they come out perfect :)

Hey everyone! Last week I did pretty good and behaved myself. Today has been going great too, breakfast was steel cut oats and an apple and my coffee, lunch was a salad with grilled chicken and a big bowl of pineapple and mango cubes, and dinner will be chicken breast with Butternut Squash “fries” (just slice the squash into fry-like shapes and roast in the oven for 40 minutes, DELISH!) and then after dinner I’ll probably have another apple, I LOVE gala apples :)

I can’t workout tonight though because my boytoy is coming over :) So tomorrow will be a big workout day for me.

Hey guys!! I actually did very well this week. I did binge Monday night but then the rest of the week I worked out everyday and stayed within my calorie limit. This morning when I weighed myself I was down a pound and a half!! So now I just have to behave this weekend.

Weekends are definitely the toughest for me because I’m 22 so all of my friends socialize at bars and parties and it’s going to be hard to not excessively drink and then binge later. Also I’m going to make myself run my local trail both Saturday and Sunday which is about 4 miles long so hopefully I can carry this motivation into the weekend! Good luck ladies!

The worst food item for me is in my freezer, Coconut ice cream with chocolate covered almond pieces….I could demolish the whole carton in one sitting. I really wish my dad didn’t buy that stuff lol

Breakfast: Oatmeal cooked with water and then I mixed a container of fat free Black Cherry yogurt into it, yummm. Coffee with creamer and splenda

Lunch: Spaghetti squash with tuna and diced tomatoes, side salad with fat free thousand island dressing, Fiber One bar, diet coke.

Dinner: Subway- turkey and ham salad with no cheese, fat free sweet onion dressing, and a side of sliced apples.

Snack: Coffee with creamer and 100cal bag of popcorn

crackster: I am indeed addicted to all sweets. I never crave savory things, just desserts and breakfast items....I wish I craved only veggies and protein lol

This morning I got up at 530am and went to the gym before work :) So my workout is out of the way.

So far foodwise I have been good: Breakfast- steel cut oatmeal and fat free yogurt, coffee. And Lunch is- Spaghetti squash with diced tomatoes and tuna, side salad with fat free dressing, and a diet coke (I love diet coke, I need to quit it thought lol ) so far so good!~

When are we doing weigh-in's?

Can I join the challenge?

 

I’m 22 years old, 5’5, about 134 pounds.

 

I want to get back down to 128, so I need to lose 6 pounds. I have been trying to lose the same 6 pounds for the past 7 months now but socially drinking and pigging out every weekend ruins my weekday’s progress. I’m not considered “Overweight” but I would consider myself average but too jiggly all around. I know that if I could follow a clean diet and give up drinking that I could have the body of my dreams.

 

My weakness is Carbs and sweets, every weekend I pig out on bagels, ice cream, chips, cookies….it’s ridiculous and it needs to stop.

I think that if I was in this challenge I could have more willpower :)

I noticed a mantra today at my Golds Gym that I really like, I saw it when I got off the treadmill:  "Change Your Body. Change Your Life" .

I like it because I'm always whining about how I wish I had less body fat and had more definition, but I tried to live the same lifestyle (drinking on weekends and then inhaling carbs the next day), but if I truly want a better body then I need to change my whole lifestyle, diet and everything.

I don't think about calories when I eat sushi / sashimi because I rarely get to go so when I do I eat it care free :)

And I don't pay attention to calories on my Birthday because well....in my world there are no calories on my birthday lol

Your inlaws are coming for dinner, what do you make to impress them?  Breakfast for Dinner!! lol I make the perfect omelettes

What food would you be very dissapointed if your grocery store stopped carrying?  Light vanilla soymilk and light double fiber wheat bread

You go grocery shopping, they dont have your brand of peanut butter, would you drive 20 minutes to get it, or buy the unhealthy version (if you eat the natural stuff)?  Um probably lol I’m obsessed with my Dark Chocolate Peanut Butter

Yesterday:

Breakfast- Egg white omelette with fat free cheese, special K waffle with sugar free syrup, and a coffee.

 Lunch- Campbell’s Southwestern Light-Style Vegetable soup, baby carrots, and an apple.

 Dinner- Stirfry with pam spray, tuna, broccoli, green peppers, and onions and spices.

 Snack- Handful of Cheerios and a spoonful of dark chocolate peanut butter

 Dessert: two 60 cal dark chocolate Fudgsicles…apparently I love dark chocolate :)

 

So far today:

 Breakfast: two special K strawberry waffles, sugar free syrup, 3 egg whites. Coffee with creamer.

 Snack: baby carrots
