Hey Nuno!! Not sure if you are checking your post or not, but I think it's great that you are back in the saddle!!! Welcome aboard!  I think there are a good amount of people that have hit road blocks similar to what you did... some people realize and work at it again, others do not!  So welcome back to working on yourself again!!!

Okay, just another quick post -- its 8am PST and I'm already up, did my work out, dressed and waiting for my dad to get here so I can take hm to breakfast (belated Father's day thing).

Happy hour was great! We had a blast and I did well w/only 2 drinks and a chicken quesidilla(sp?)!  We laughed so very hard the entire time!  Good times, Good good times!! =)

Terrific on the losses everyone! I am hopeful that I'll have a loss tomorrow, but I had 2 bad days where I was just hungry!  I just wanted to eat and eat and eat -- tried to make good choices, but that just doesn't work all the time!  Oh-well - today is another day and I worked out twice as hard this early A.M.!! Have my guys work picnic to go to today, so I should be getting some exercise!

Happy Wednesday everyone!!

So today is my weigh-in and I lost .2 pounds... not the .50 or 1.0 that I was looking for, but it is still a loss and that is ALL that matters to me!  I've recently changed my routine and I am now walking 3 miles a day... slowly training for the 3 day walk for next year!  So I think that this will start to help with the loss!  I have 2.2 pounds to go by the end of the month!!  So I am aiming to loose 2.5!!!  Just want to stay ahead of my goals!

I use the forum, activity log, food log and the journal.  I've found that if I don't come to this site daily and log everything I have no accountability.  When I was gone for a few days I wrote everything down in my notebook (food, activity, thoughts). I didn't add those to the site, but I felt the accountablity... but I did miss all the wonderful support from everyone here!

Use what works for you -- I don't need to use the site to log things, but for the system to do the chart of my loss I totally love seeing!  Can't really see that on a piece of paper =)

Happy Tuesday everyone!  You have all been busy with your chatting; I started in the middle of page 96 and it's taken all morning to catch up!
I have so many things to say, but I'm not as organized as... ItsMy -- because I didn't take any notes =)

So this will be pretty generic.

  • Welcome to the newbies - you will find a great support team here on this forum!
  • OMG -- Camel Toe!! I was crackin' up!  I had to explain to one of my counter parts why I was giggling so much.
  • "Magic Pills" - just stay away from them! Even if they are 'FDA' approved that doesn't mean that they aren't going to put your system out of wack... plus it when you stop taking it you are more than likely to go back to your old habits... just step away from the "Magic Pills"
  • I'm with everyone else about the weekend and not paying attention to the food/sodium intake.  Had a Picnic and BBQ to go to, did good at the Picnic... but way too much sodium at the BBQ... decided to not step on the scale until my Wednesday weigh-in (because I w/i twice a week - Sun & Wed).  Figured I would give my body time to get the sodium out.... so for the past two days, I've been piddling like it's going out of style. (hee hee)

Blue - that's why I keep honey around, because he'll clean them... but I do do it at times, according to him "If you are going to fish then you need to know how to clean them to"... so at least twice a year I clean a few.  Keeps him happy =)

Happy Wednesday everyone!

So we took our little boat out onto the water Sunday, and we didn't sink!  So YA'!!  We went out for a few hours and had a nice time sitting on the lake fishing!  Didn't catch anything - and I'm OK with that because it was nice and relaxing!  Plus it give me and honey TONS of time together - with our busy schedules that's hard for us to do... so I'm good w/out catching any fish!

Vegas? did someone mention Vegas?  I LOVE Vegas! We are heading down there in August w/friends... well actually honey and I are heading to San Diego for a few days then flying over to Phoenix to visit family then driving up to Vegas... so it will be a busy vacation - we're going to need a vacation after this one!  Isn't that how it always works though?!  (Hee Hee)

Carol - I'm feeling ya' with the picnic, I have one to go to this weekend and the next and then on Sunday we are going to a BBQ... so this will be interesting!  Not to worry - there are always ways to make good choices - for instance, I'm the one bring two types of salad for all of the picnics and BBQ.  That way I know I can eat those!  Then at the BBQ I'm brining some turkey dogs & fish so I can have those... just a matter of compromising.   Oh and I weigh in twice a week, Sunday morning and Wednesday morning.

Okay everyone, just wanted to check in!  My Wednesday Weigh-In puts me at 4 pounds lost for the month -- I am going to hit my 6.8 pound goal this month, I just know I am!!!

Good morning everyone! Hope everyone has a nice relaxing Sunday!

Today is my official w/i and I am down 2.2 pounds for the month of June!!!  I have another 4.6 to go by the end of the month (I should be able to make that goal in 3 weeks)! I'm going to say that I'm off to a great start!!

Still haven't gone fishing, honey is going a little stir crazy. He SO wants to see how well that little boat works =)

Okay, so I'm watching TV and I have to say that I LOVE watching the food network challenges.  The ones where they have to make the towering buildings out of cake products. The newest commercial is about 'Disney Villians' and they show the head slide off the lion.... that could be somewhat dramatic for little ones.

Good morning all.... uhm I mean good afternoon!  Rised out of bed about 40 minutes ago (11am PST).  Uhm ya', we went out with friends last night -- Too Crazy!!  Had a nice time - pretty much nursed a drink for awhile then switched to water.  Wasn't really in a "drinking" mood.  But that's OK because we ended up driving home some friends.

Looks like everyone is doing well today, Nab I like the veggies -- never been much of a gardner myself - always wanted to but I can't even keep a cactus alive (heehee).  Carol a new grand-baby... congrats! I like the little goals - I have those too! I think those keep me sane with my w-l!! VK - You ROCK!!! Girl keep up the GREAT work!!! KT you are doing great 22 pounds -- that is awesome! Ginny I wouldn't doubt that on Sunday when you w-i you will be down! Those pounds love us soo much that they try to fight and stay around, but just keep doing what your doing and those unwanted guest will leave!! =) 

Okay, well it's raining today... so we are not sure if we going out on the little fishin' boat yet... but then again it might help if I went and chatted w/him rather then being here on this forum... Ah' heck, I talk to honey all the time - I'd rather chat w/ya' all!  =)

Hi everyone!  Everyone is so busy just posting away on this site, took me some time to read the posts since I last posted.

Welcome to all the new peoples out there in forum land!  bqueen - isn't it nice to drop even when on bed rest due to being sick?! Hope you have a nice weekend!  Hye - when do u go to Korea? Post pics for us!  Thanks for the idea about adding ground turkey to meatload - never thought of that -- just gonna have to try it!!!  Chris - those last 2 lbs will go away, just keep on track!  We all get frustrated - but we're here for ya' girl! It will happen & when it does I'll cheer big for ya'!! =)  Neb - belly dancing huh? I've always wanted to take that class, but been too shy to. Hmm, you have inspired me to see if they are doing that class at the locale community center - I think it would be fun also... okay, I'll check this weekend!  Keep me posted on how you like it/don't like it!!! I have been trying to keep up with this group but you are all so busy and so many newbies (which is awesome!)  Welcome Welcome & make yourself comfortable!! You will find great new friends and terrific support from everyone!!

We got home about 45 minutes ago -- went out and bought a little fishing boat off.  Found it on craigslist -- it's the perfect site, small enough for honey and I, but big enough to bring the step kids on and play at the lake.

I am on my way to my weight loss for the month, I've been doing my toning and walking every other day and things are going great.  My goal for the month is to drop 6.8 lbs...

Congrats to all you loosers!!  Remember to stay focused, chat away here for support & keep up the great work!

Hi everyone,
Just checking in w/you all - so many things have been going on this last week with  you all that I don't know how to start. So I'll keep it short.
Glad to see that everyone is feeling better; Congrats to all the losers out there; If you need some encouragement - stay with this group, add me to your friends because even though I don't post as much lately I still read and contact people =);
I didn't make my May goal of 5 lbs gone, but that is OK because I've started a new exercise routine and I will be good to go for the month of June... aiming for 6.8 lbs (to help make up for what I didn't lose in May).

Okay - so it looks as though there have been a few of us that had a bad day yesterday... I was one of them.  Just very hungry all day - don't really have a reason other than I wanted food - so I ate it! However today I am back on track and I'm not beating myself over it.  It happened and today is a new day and I'm right where I should be!!! Yeah for me!!  =)

So it is 2am PST when I typed this... been up all night trying to get some work done w/one of the programmers... and of course the program is not playing nice!  Stupid program!
My headcold is really kicking in now... need to go rummage for some nyquil.... I hope we have some :|

BQ - WTG on your walk!! That's great! Don't you just love how the tummy shrinks over time :) Your eyes say -- I'm gonna eat it all, but your tummy says I don't think so!!!

I need some sleep - hopefully I'll be coherint in the morning... oh, ya' it is morning.....

Blue - it will come off!  You can do it! You know the magic way.... drink lots and lots of water!!  No mall near by? bummer, what about a store... a godd size one like Target or something? that will give you some space to walk) -- Hope you were able to stay dry!!

Thanks Tabby - I am very excited! Especially after gaining while I was traveling last week.  It's not silly to go up and down on calories.  I've read it in many places and it makes some sense.  I've just been so focused on losing what I gained that I was  not thinking about that! 

Tonight though I should be around 1500-1600 calories... having meatloaf, potatos & veggies... right now I'm at 678 calories, so that should definatly bring me up to a higher number =)

I have to say I'm pretty lucky where I'm at, we are in a pretty big housing area that has hills and flat areas all around, so it's just a matter of picking how much cardio you want it.  When my friend goes w/me we'll walk her neighborhood also, close to mine in what is available, just not as step of hills -- so I like to walk her neighborhood more (hee hee).

I think I'm coming down with a head cold -- stupid head cold!

Ma - that is AWESOME!!!  Keep up the GREAT work!!  As for the weigh-in... I actually weight myself 2 times a week, Wednesday and Sunday.  This way I can see how I'm doing during the week and it helps to encourage me even more.  I say do two weigh-ins; it's not as frustrating as doing it daily. =)

Dream - have fun at the zoo... just remember that can count toward some of your walking =)

Itsmy - that is terrific about your hubby!! Congrats & enjoy the trip that the two of you choose... he is taking you right??!  LOL  =)

As for myself - I need to lose another 1.6 pounds by 5/31 to keep on track of my goal (5 lbs a month).  I'm pretty sure I can do that, but with traveling last week I gained some... however I have been walking and taking in only 1200-1250 calories a day since I've been back from traveling for work... the last two days I feel VERY full before I get to the 1200, but I force myself to keep eating because I want to make sure that I'm hitting that magic number at the very least.

Well we didn't make it anyplace other than the hotel and the place where the convention was... sad, very very sad... And yes VK I did fly into O'hare. Headed to Lisle (sp?) Wednesday morning and spent the entire day at the office until we went to some italian place 'by the river', not on the river mind you, but 'by the river', it should have read 'by the construction zone' -- Heh!

Trying to catch up on all the logs - but just wanted to stop by and I see less and less of everyone each time I do =)

I'll catch up soon.... I hope....

Okay, I'm here in Chicago today - I was lucky & had no delays in my flight, however my counterpart & my boss ended up being delayed (1hour for 1 and 4 hours for the other) because of the weather.  VK - I've told them about the places you recommended and our goal is to hit the pizza place Thursday!

Okay, I'll admit it --- I've logged sex :)  I saw it and it made me giggle so much that I decided to log it.  Figured it was there and well I, uhm.... we... hhmm.... so sex is there as an activity :: Giggle :: so why not!!! :)

Carol - don't worry about the chips; it happens to us all... my guy LOVES to make cakes.  He loves to eat them directly out of the oven w/out frosting...nice and warm.  So he was VERY excited with me being gone for the week because that means he gets to make some cake!  The only thing I told him was that if it wasn't gone by the time I got home Friday I was going to through out in the back for the racoons to eat in the middle of the night!

Diz - we are so close in height & weight... I'm and inch taller -- so hows the weather down there?!  Hee Hee... sorry couldn't resist :)

Happy Mom's day everyone!!!! 

I've been busy so much this last week that I needed to take some time this morning and read up!  So, I had breakfast with all of you this morning :)  So now that I am caught up I'll have to do the same thing next weekend.

Heading to the windy city Tuesday morning and I'll be there until Friday night.  All work related - so not a lot of site seeing will be had.  But I'm hoping to at least get in some type of good food!  I'll be in Shaumberg (sp?) -- so if anyone has any recommendations I'm open... but I'll only see your post today and tomorrow... :)

Everyone Congrats on the loss!!! Hye - I am so So SO excited for you!  Ginny (well I think it was Ginny) - I have a pair of capris like that also... so close to getting into them.  Need to do my tummy exercises more, I've been lacking on those :|

Hi Everyone!!!  I was going to post Tuesday when we returned from our fishing trip, but I have been playing catch-up with work... so much so that we ended up letting someone go in our department and I was the lucky one that had to take over what they were doing!!  Oh-well, that's how it goes some time!!

You all have been so chatty - I started on page 44 and had to read all the way to this page... 57 I believe.

There is so much for me to say, so rather than write a novel about all that I have read I will just these few things:

* WTG on all the loses !
* I've missed you all !!
* RARARA for everyone !!!

Our mini-vacation was terrific!! We spent all day, everyday fishing - caught a few fish, spend tons of time with family and ended up as red as a lobster on my legs, arms and neck!!  I'm hoping to upload a few pictures of where we were, so look for those soon!!!
