Hi horsueleanna.....no not even at home. We have cabin on Lake Weiss, AL and we're here working on our dock. The water has been so low it was a good time to work on it before the water gets higher and it's rising fast! But I did dig out my workout video that I'm going to start doing on Monday!

Hey......where did everyone go??????????

Hope everyone is  doing well and staying on course.   I've been a little off my target for the past two days by about 300 calories.   Back on track today.   Hope this doesn't mess me up for Friday weigh in.   Does anyone know?

Hi all!

I 44 (as of 1/18 - tried to hold onto 43 as hard as I could! lol) 5'4" and currently @257 #'s.   I started on 1/2/08 and have lost 5 #'s so far!  My short goal is to be below 200 by 10/15/08 (which is my 25th wedding anniversary)  At this rate I should acheive this but I know it's going to take determination and a lot group support so I would love have you guys as my friends as well!

There's strength in numbers and I believe we can achieve!

Good morning everyone!

Well today is my birthday and I turned 44.....thought I would be bumbed out but......I weighed in this morning and I'm down 3 LBS!!!!!   I was thrilled.   Couldn't have gotten a better gift!

I starting to really believe that I can do this!   It's really been easier than I thought.  Now if I can get the exercise mixed in I really be on the right path.

When are you guys weighing in?

Jen.....I did find the whole article interesting.....especially the eating like a king in the am and then a prince and so on!

Hope everyone has a wonderful day!

Hi all!

I would love to join also!    I'm 43 (holding on for dear life! Will be 44 tomorrow! lol)

I'm 5'4" and weigh 260.....started 1/2/08 at 262 and weigh in again tomorrow.  My short time goal is to be @ 190 by 10/15/08 (my 25th wedding anniversay) and then on from there.   I believe in this site and feel that strength is in numbers and we have a lot of power here.

Good luck to all and together we can make a difference in each other!

Welcome Horsieleanna!

I'm jealous on the horseback riding!   I love horses.   My husband doesn't so we now have 4-wheelers which I love as well......can't get enough riding for me.   I'm addicted! lol

Jen....I too am not a morning time eater!  I use to not eat until lunch time but I've read in too many places that it's the worst thing a person can do.   After reading what a nutritionist had to say  (look under the "weight loss" forum and click the first one......"sharing info from my nutritionist")  Really made me more motivated to eat first thing in the am.   It's still a challenge but I'm sticking to it.

Talk to ya soon!

Teresa

Hi belly_b_gone!

I experienced the "burn" as well.   I found if I pushed myself a little further each time the burn wouldn't last long and I could continue walking.   It got to where it got less and less and then stop all together.

Molly/Jen......thanks for the "happy b'day"!  It means a lot!

Jen.....congrats on the the Gazelle.   I really love mine when I used it before.  It was sooo much easier than a treadmill.  I felt really clumsy on the treadmill.   Sorry to hear about the job.....really a bad thing to happen and the timing was terrible!

At least you feel safe where you are at.    Things will get better I know it will.   As you work towards you weight goal your confidence will increase as well.   This can only make you a stonger person and you will shine!

My husband is great!  But I don't usually talk to him anymore about dieting, working out etc because I feel he's thinking "blaa, blaa, blaa" since I've been trying for most of our married life and failed.   I just want to do it and him notice, which he will and then he'll get motivated to loose a few as well.

I'm the same way with motivation.......I'm a strong person and can usually acheive anything I put my mind to EXCEPT losing weight.   I don't understand it either but I'm making it a challenge within to accomplish this hurdle once and for all!

Keep your head up and remember we ARE a beautiful people inside and out!

Hi Jen!

I'm holding at 43 (b'day this Friday! lol) and I'm 5'4" and 260 lbs.  My short goal is to be at 190 by 10/15/08 - my 25th wedding anniversary!  According to CC I should acheive this goal by sticking to the daily calories.

I too am finding it hard to get motivated as far as exercise goes.   I really want this for me and my husband!   I have a Gazelle and we have remolded and changed things around the house and I have no where to put it.   We have a spare room that has become a storage room that I'm working on now to make it into MY space for computer, tv, and workout.   Hopefully I can get this done and start using the Gazelle.

Hi all!

I'm in fat too!  Boy I feel better Cry lol!  But I agree admitting it is the first step.  Thanks mykandosdelight!

I'm in the 100 + group as well and know it didn't get there over night and it won't go away overnight (trying to keep that thought!)   I'm 43 (b'day on 1/18 so I'll hang on to 43 as long as I can! lol)  262 lbs and my short goal is to be @190 by 10/15/08 (my 25th wedding anniversary).

I'm really struggling with the water but getting better.   But the exercise hasn't even started yet.   I've got a plan but just haven't gotten motivated.   Any ideas to get me jump started?

Welcome Sezza!

I'm fairly new also.....and also have the self sabotage sindrome!  I'm my worst enemy when it comes to eating.   But I've really found strength in numbers that are here to help.

When I feel that I'm loosing control I'll get on line and start reading the forums.  It has really helped!

Hi all!

luvt - thanks for the insight on the water.   We have a bottle water dispensor at home and I'm going to Wal-mart to fill the jugs up.   This really helped me in the past.   Very convinent so it makes it easier at home.   It always seems to be easier at work to re-fill my bottle so I think it will work at home as well.

Doing good with the calories and trying to do better with the water.  Now I need to concentrate on the exercise.  Can't seem to get into a routine.   Really want to get to my short time goal (190) by my 25th wedding anniverary (10/15/08) and I know that exercise will help me to reach it.   Just got to get motivated.

amheint - way to go girl!   I think your on the right track that this will balance out over time as long as your not starving yourself if should be fine.

Everyone - I'm holding off weighing until this Friday and then get on an every Friday cycle.  I did really well this weekend (which is usually where I mess up!) so I'm proud of that but I'm didn't do well at all on my water.   Really working hard at this.  I will do OK during the week but on the weekends I drink more Sprite Zero than water.   Any suggestions on how to be better at this?

Hi Josette!

I can remember (way back when) telling myself I will NEVER go over 200 lbs.  Well here I am at 262 and hating every minute of it.   Don't get me wrong I'm not a pitty party person.  I have a great job where I'm well respected and appreciated and a loving family that thinks I'm great.   I can do anything I put my mind to except loosing weight.  I don't know why I can't accomplish this hurdle when I do so well in all other aspects of my life?

Amheint - I know the feeling!  I weighed in yesterday to start fresh and I gain 10 lbs as well.  Went from 252 back to 262 which is where I started a year ago Frown

Mrskeith - I've read that 3-10 minute workouts are better than one 30 minute.  That's what I'm trying now.  I do have a DVD that I'm using in the mornings but I'm also taking two breaks at work and walking in place.  You can mix it up a bit by marching for a couple of minutes then steping side to side then high stepping until the 10 minutes is up just to get you heart rate up.

 Hope this helps!

Hi All!  Happy New Year and a new beginning!

I'm new to this formum (if you'll have me!)  I'm 5'4" and weigh 262 (ouch!) My overall goal is to lose 130 lbs. but my first goal is to lose down to 190 by October 15th.....my 25th wedding anniversary.

I hope to do this with your help and encouragement.  I'm going to try the 5 small meals a day and keeping the total under my daily calorie goal.  (see the "sharing info from my nutritionist" post in the weight lost forum - pretty interesting) This will be tough considering I only usually eat 2 meals a day and snack at night.  But it makes sense to keep you metab up all day long.
