yeah...i wanna know too...i do the same thing!...i like to scrape off the cream cuz i think it's too sweet...i did the 100 calorie packs for a while...but the cookie isn't the same...i like the real thing more...:)

this isn't really caloric information but a reference none the less.  this site gives weight-watcher points for these items.  I'm sure these numbers are just estimates, but i think it's good to give you an idea.  1 point is roughly 50 calories (on average), so you can use this as a guide.

thanks for letting me join you guys...

let's see...a little about myself...i'm 24...living in West Sacramento, CA...work as an accountant at a homebuilder...everyone in my family lives in hong kong...i'm the only one here in the states and my boyfriends family is my family here...however...i do visit hong kong every so often and will be visiting again early next year...

i've always been on the chubbier side growing up...and topped my adolescent high of 168 when i was 14(?)...and then lost a bit of weight...was around 160 throughout high school...then after high school graduation...i was able to lose 20 pounds and was at 140...then met my lovely boyfriend...was able to stay that weight for a year...then gradually ballooned up to 213 (last October)...then we had a "dieting for dollars" contest at work...weekly...each of the contestants would put in $5 and whoever had the highest percentage weight loss would win the pot...in the beginning...the pot was quite large...and then gradually people dropped out of the contest...people then decided that it was not worth it to put in $5 to win $15...

during that contest...which ended in December...i was able to lose 13 lbs...stayed at 200 for a while and am now at 202...

really want to lose the weight again...when i went back to hong kong the summer of 2004...i was at about 195 pounds and that kind of worried my grandma as well as the whole family...i spoke on the phone with grandma last week and she was still very concerned about my weight...so i've decided that i want to lose the weight again...not only for her...but for myself and to be able to not have my family worry about me because of weight issues...

will start going to the gym again...haven't been in a while...things always come up...i just have to make time for it...:)...

i know i can do it...and with your help...it can happen for sure...:)

Oooh...can i join?

I'm 24 and weighing in at 202.2 last night.  I need to lose about 60 pounds to get to my goal weight of 140.  I hope joining this group would help me.  Keep me motivated!!!

i've gotta say...i agree with tara...i mean...divorce him...still lose weight...and let him oogle...and never have u...

my bf has never said that he no longer finds me attractive...but hey...i've gained 60 lbs since i met him...so i know there's some part of him that's disappointed...and wish that i'm how i was 60 lbs ago...:)...

so i'm not only trying to lose weight for him...but for my family...my health...and for MYSELF...

he loves going out to eat...and he's one of those that can eat and eat...he'd gain some weight...but he'd lose it in a day...

i've fallen off my wagon since December...with all the good food during the holidays...it's hard to quit cold turkey...(excuses excuses)...started again about couple weeks ago...mainly exercising...but will hafta start eating well again...i try...but haven't been able to record my caloric intake...so everything's estimated...in my head...so i bet i'm totally off...:P

hey all...sorry i've kinda been missing...kinda steered away from doing well during the holidays...last time i posted...i was at 203.2...today...i weighed-in at 201...so not bad...didn't lose too much...considering that it has been over a month...but i've started to exercising and eating right again this week...but i'll keep it going and work harder...:)

i weigh-in at work too...every friday...and i wear the same thing every friday...a polo shirt and this thin pants...i was gonna wear jeans one friday...but i weighed myself with jeans on and then the thin pants...it turned out the jeans were 2 pounds heavier than my thin pants...so i only wear my thin pants on fridays...

haven't really been doing well lately...it's that time of the month so i'm just craving junk food all the time...but i think the hormonal phase is dying down...and plus...monday was my birthday...so this past weekend...(friday-monday (took the day off))...i've just been chowing down cake...:P...yum!...weighed-in at 203.2 today...down 0.4 pounds since last friday...considering i haven't been watching my diet...and haven't been exercising...i'm surprised i didn't gain...so gotta get back on track next week...:)

as of last friday...i was 203.6 according to the scale at work...and i won the "dieting for dollars at work"...so i'm happy...hehe...a lot of people gained because of Thanksgiving weekend...but i lost 1.4 pounds...hehe...

it varies...between 700-1100 Calories...my daily limit is 1500-1600 Calories...so when i'm more on the low end of my Calorie intake by dinner...i usually have "2" dinners...just 2 mini meals...

my november goal is to get to 200 lbs by month-end...as of last friday...i was 205...assuming i can achieve this november goal...i'd like to get down to 190 by end of december...so i'd say i want to be at around 192-193 by Christmas...

hi sytso...chinese broth/soup has very low calories...but it depends how you drink it...i understand you don't eat the ingredients...but there's usually fat floating on top of the soup...so steer away from that...and it depends if the ingredients are stuff that'll extract sugar stuff (like those prune-like things)...if the soup is sweet...it's probably gonna have more calories...but usually...a cup of chinese broth is usually 20-40 Calories...so it's not bad...not bad at all...and according to the chinese...there's GREAT nutritional value...hope i helped...:)

WOW...cool...i think i like this club...:)...i'm 5'8.5"...23 YO...207lbs...so i think i belong...:)

I'm kinda at the beginning of this eating healthy for life thing...i've started it for a month...have lost about 6 pounds so far...i usually weigh-in on Fridays...so we'll see if i've lost more this past week...hehe...

my goals...can truly keep eating healthy...and not give up on this or myself...i'd also like to actually LOVE exercising one day...i think the day i see more results will be the day i realize that exercising isn't bad at all...my first goal weight is 180...i know that's too heavy for me...so i'll probably wanna set another goal for 140...and we'll see from there...

my ideal weight...probably 130...i was a 140 before...a size 6...but i wanna be a size 4...so probably 130 would be my ultimate goal weight...

i buy my pants from all kinds of stores...it doesn't really matter...anywhere that has cute pants...

i don't know about heels...i have a balancing problem...so i dun really get to wear heels...

currently wear a 16...really wanna be able to wear a 6 again...

i wouldn't go there unless i'm clinically obese...i won't do it just cuz i or other people think i'm fat...however...my coworker who's 185 and 5'3" wants to get the lap band done...she went to their site to see if she qualified...but she didn't...so she figured out, by trial and error, what her weight needs to be in order for her to qualify...she said that she needs to gain 15 pounds to qualify...and she can get the surgery done...*sigh*...i totally oppose to it...but i guess some people would rather get stuff clinically done rather than working hard to achieve the same goal...

i'm 5' 8.5"...medium boned...and i'd like to be able to get into a 4...but a 6 would make me happy...i was a 6 once...although i still thought i was fat at the time...but now looking back as a size 16...being a 6 was pretty awesome...

hmm...i'd steer away from the noodle dishes...they're usually stir-fried...so high in Calories...i dunno what else you would have though...some thai places have noodles in broth...i haven't tried it but these should be a better choice...or if you really want something like pad thai...to cut down caloric intake...just eat half of the plate...(although i did that once for lunch and i had the rest of the plate with me on my way home from work...and there was traffic...i ate the other half of the plate...:)...)...i never know what is a good choice when it comes to thai food...maybe veggies in curry might be a good choice...just steer away from the curry that has coconut milk...but i dun even know if there's curry that doesn't have coconut milk...i hope i was helpful...but i might not be since i dunno much about thai food either...sorry if i didn't help...:P

mari...i agree with kimanne...i try to have 6 small meals too...so that's what's good for me...here's my breakdown...

Breakfast - 250 Cal

Morning Snack - 150 Cal

Lunch - 450 Cal

Afternoon Snack - 150 Cal

Dinner - 450 Cal

Nighttime Snack - 150 Cal

i'd go with the weight...so 53 grams...it was probably really 53 grams when they weighed their cup...but because since cereal is in all shapes and sizes...the little pieces can fall through the gaps of big pieces...it IS possible for it to be 75 grams...

i agree with keuperc...forget the bagel...cream cheese and hash browns...as for the cookies...DON'T eat the WHOLE bag...have 1...cut down a bit on it...if you want something sweet...there's still something sweet...just not a whole bag of it...your sandwich is probably okay...but maybe do an open-top sandwich...2 slices of regular bread is already 200 Cals (if the slices are bigger...like those gourmet breads...that's already 300-400 Cals...)...that's my tip for you...

yea...it might work...u might be able to lose 10 pounds in a month...but once you start eating like a pig again...it won't work...unless you're willing to eat like that the rest of your life...and maybe get sick, or perhaps die, 3 months later...i'm gonna say...GO FOR IT!!!

yup...i agree with salome...i like mine blanched in boiling water more...that's how i always cook my veggies...sprinkle some garlic salt & black pepper and you're GOLDEN!!!

i limit my coffee intake...i dun want to...but i have to...i LOVE my coffee creamy...be it with nonfat milk or full fat half & half...i just love the milkyness of it...but i have to limit that because drinking more than 1 cup will up my calorie intake...usually i drink about 12 ounces...sometimes i'll have a grande @ starbucks (16 oz)...but never more than that...not allowed...:)

Goals: Also...(I read this in a book)...to stay motivated...you shouldn't set your goal too far from what you are now...say if you need to lose 60 pounds and that seems really far away...and because losing weight is a slow process...it might seem like you'll never get there...set your first goal to lose 20 pounds...it'll be easier to get there...after you reach your first goal...set it for another 20 pounds...this way...it's easier to believe in yourself and harder to give up...and with 3 20 pound goals...you're there!...:)...just something i've learned...:D
