Weight Loss wii advice Oct 31 2009
00:46 (UTC)

I have one and I use it for Wii active, which is actually a pretty good circuit training work out. It keeps me from cheating because it makes you move through each number of reps. You can also create your own work outs to mix it up a bit. I think I want to also get the biggest loser one and check that out. I don't have wii fit or the balance board thingy. I bought the wii active since I heard it provided a better work out, which from the sound of things, it does.

Good morning! The scale looks really good this week only because it's been so hot here, I hardly have an appetite and I have no urge to cook.

I feel better now about having nothing ready! Wink I'm due April 18th.

Pregnancy & Parenting Early pregnancy and cramping Jan 04 2009
04:54 (UTC)

Cramping in early pregnancy is totally normal. I had it myself fairly often. It wasn't too painful but it was very much the same as menstrual cramping. It lasted through to about my 10th or 11th week. I would say it would be concerning if you experienced cramping later on in your pregnancy, which could be indicitive of pre-term labor.

However, if you're experiencing painful cramping, especially coupled with more than average menstrual-like bleeding, it may be a sign of a potential miscarriage.

Pregnancy & Parenting Weirdest post-partum symptom? Dec 30 2008

I'm actually still quite pregnant but I've read that the hair shedding is completely normal. It seems that while you're pregnant, your hair stops shedding as it usually would, which is partially why it gets thicker during pregnancy. After birth, you shed the hair that you would normally have shed throughout the pregnancy. It should slow down and get back to normal.

That's what the books say anyway.

My eating was great this week but I can only count about 15 points for exercizing. So that puts me at 50 for the week.

I'm with pinkjane. I don't even want to try and figure out my points this week. I'm down to 173 from my original weigh-in at 178. I didn't weigh-in last week Undecided

I did go to the gym today! Props for that.

I'm glad I came across this! I was just thinking of setting a similar goal for myself and I need an extra bit of motivation to get these last 20 pounds or so off.

Hey Sarah, glad you started this one!

I'm 25 and am actually finally looking my age, however up to about a year ago I would get mistaken for a 19 or 20-year-old all the time. I think because I lost weight, I have less of the "baby" face I used to have and my hair's grown out quite a bit.

Stephaniebl: The "green tea in a beer bottle" comment made me laugh-- good luck with that one.

I like these Thai Instant Rice Noodle Soup packages. Unfortunately, they don't offer a lot of nutritional value and they're a little high in sodium. But for a substitute, they taste great and only have 190 calories and 3 grams of fat per serving. So they're a better (although not super healthy) option if you need that kick.
Weight Loss How much weight did you lose in your first month of healthy dieting? Dec 18 2007
18:31 (UTC)
I lost 18 pounds but I think a lot of it was water-weight. I hadn't yet started exercizing. I was also starting from 225, so it went faster at first. Now I'm lucky to get down 4-5 pounds in a month!

I know there's only a few of us keeping up. Mangomomma-- thank you for reminding me to post and here I am, posting early on Dec. 4.

I'm down to 171, which is only 1 pound away from my New Years goal. I think I may want to re-adjust it an additional four pounds (keeping it low still due to x-mas food coming up) and make my new New Years goal: 167, however I'll be pretty happy with anything below 170. I pretty happy being so close to 170 as it is.

I joined a gym and am actively pursuing my first attempt at running a 5K non-stop by the end of the year. I'm getting pretty close!

Thanks for those of you staying with it. It keeps me going as well!

I'm trudging through week 7. Never in my entire life have I jogged more than one mile at a time and now I'm averaging just around 2.5. This is crazy. The last ten minutes are always really trying. I'm just hoping it'll get easier.
