Just want to remind others, that I started my topic.. MY DOCTOR AND NUTRITIONIST have given me this PRESCRIPTION. I am following this under a doctors care, and it is a PRESCRIBED medication, that they also precribe to women and men for other reasons besides weight loss. I did not ask to have to defend my actions to people who don't agree with it, I asked for the support of others doing the same thing.

Yes, it is where you do injections and a 500 calorie a day diet for 6 weeks. The injections are to loosen the fat into your bloodstream to use for fuel, and make you not hungry.

I have been on it for a week, and have lost 4lbs so far. I keep my journal updated if you want to track it.

But like Leidee said, after you lose the weight, you still have to eat right and exercise, if not, you will just gain it all back.

They are high in fat, and 1 fat is 9 calories compared to protein or carbs at 4 calories. That is why they are high in calories, but most of them are a good fat... almonds are the best according to my nutritionist : )

1 pear

mixed greens

gorganzola cheese

candied walnuts ( made with splenda)

fat free honey mustard

or just a regular old tossed salad

with lettuce

artichoke hearts

hearts of palm

bell peppers

olives

cucumber

avocado

tomatoes

cucumber

whatever other veggies I can find in the fridge

olive oil and balsalmic vinegar

I'm starting over too! I have gained back 20 of the 30 lbs it took me over a year to lose! I took a second job and stopped working out, then I stopped eating right! But hey, I'm back, and we are all here for the same reason SUPPORT!! You can do it! You have already started!

I log in the morning, and sometimes the day before. It  helps me to have a plan, and also that way I can change things around until my ratio's are perfect.

How many calories are you eating in a day? You may need to increase them. Also yes it could be muscle weight, or it could be water weight. in order to gain 3 true lbs of fat, you would need to intake 10,500 more calories than you burn.

Hi there, I'm from WA state : ) I'm a 35 year old "girl" (inside anyway) and I love running! The longest I have riun without stopping, is 5 miles. I would love to be able to run a 1/2 marathon! I feel so good when I get into that grove about a mile in! I start feeling like I could run forever! (of course my body feels differently about that!) I get shin splints pretty bad, so that has slowed down my progress.. but I keep plugging along!

I have passed the police entry test with 1.5 mile run in 13:55 300M sprint in 65 sec.

I finished 1 5k in approx 30 min! last year.

I am doing a 5K in July with a friend at work

And.. I am going to do my first trialthon on Sept 8th!

I suggest you see your doctor and speak to him about your depression. That is what I have done. Also remember to put yourself first. Your not hurting him, your hurting you.

You just have to make yourself a priority. Make an appt at the gym just like you would a Dr's office or a job interview, you wouldn't no show on them, so why would you no show on yourself? you are the most important thing! I work an hour and 1/2 away with traffic. So I picked a gym 1/2 way between home and work. Yes I don't get much time at home, but I'd just be dealing with other people's problems ( my kids are 11 and 17) or sitting in front of the TV.

I have 30 lbs left to lose! I already lost 30 lbs but I have been stuck at this 1/2 way point since January. I am 162 now, I would like to get to 130 lbs by the end of this year. I am giving myself a long time, because it takes a while for me to lose weight because I have a thyroid condition, and a low metabolism.  Just being realistic : )

I would up your protein to at least 70 gr per day : ) You want 20-25% of your food to be protien, 20-25% to be from healthy fats, and 50-60% Healthy whole grains, fruits, and veggies carbs.

Up your calories by 200 per day for 1 month if it works, if it does great! If it doesn't, maybe you should get advice from a Dr. there are several medical reasons for not being able to lose weight, and maybe he/she can help you.

Last night on the gym scale I was at 159.8 too ! I am sticking around here until I am positive it will stay in the 150's though : ) I am going to give it a week... Wish me luck!!

Milton's whole grain bread... it's 90 calories, but has 5 gr of fiber per slice. Also, it does not have high fructose corn syrup. I am not sure if anyone mentioned this or not, but the difference between the white bread and the wheat bread with fiber is the way your body procceses those calories. You may be putting in an extra 30 calories by eating the whole grain, but It will burn longer in your system, therefore actually using more calories, keeping you satisfied for longer and may help stop cravings.

My perfect breakfast is french toast, made with whole grain milton's bread, and 1 egg, 2 Tbs nonfat milk, cinnamon, nutmeg and vanilla. Served with sugar free syrup and 2 Tbs natural peanut butter! 500 calories! That is my comfort food!

Actual breakfast I eat almost daily:

Healthy weight oatmeal, and 1 cup nonfat milk.. 246 cal
