it is around 25 grams per day, I was having issues getting enough fibre so I bought all bran cereal and all bran buds, one serving of each gives me the daily amount, anything else I eat with fiber is a bonus.

Don't fret too much, the weight gain could be for a lot of reasons, it is pretty hard to gain 4 pounds in 3 days, remember a pound is 3500 calories.  Did you eat something that has a lot of salt in it?? have you had a lot more fluid to drink than usual??? Did you weigh yourself differently than you usually do??? DONT EAT THE CHOCOLATE SYRUP!!!! your doing great!!!!

Thanks for all the great advice nicoley.  No I am not breastfeeding he would not latch, so usually when he is sleeping that is when I am washing bottles and making formula...yes I know I should be sleeping!!!! I was also a C-section. I was not a big exerciser before I was pregnant I went to Curves when I could but I was working 6 days a week and long hours plus a 50 minute commute to and from work.  I was really sick during my pregnancy so I was not allowed to exercise.  As for his sleeping he was great 8pm to 6am...that is until the time change now he is up multiple times a night, I can't get him back on his pattern, not to mention that he has 4 teeth coming in.  As for Hubby he leaves at 630 am and does not come home till 7pm, then I race to the gym he puts the baby to bed, then I come home and make dinner, clean up(yes I know hubby could do these things but that would mean he would have to not watch hockey and god forbid you ask him to do that..don even get me started!!!) oh not to mention his answer for everything..."I worked all day I am tired" as if I do nothing all day!!!!!! then if I am lucky watch a little tv till I fall asleep, this is all while going up and down the stairs to get my son to fall back asleep evertime he wakes up which is about every 10 minutes or so for the first hour.  WOW I am busy...so I will take your advice...cutting out crosstrainer on Curves days and I will up my food intake, lets see how that goes. As for rambling..dont worry as you can see I like to do it also:) talk to you soon.
Weight Loss anti-depressants Nov 15 2006

hey there

Not sure if this is going to help but It seems interesting to me that  I lost a ton of weight when I was on Celexa, lost a little with Zoloft which I am on now, have not tried Welbutrin, but a few years ago I was on Paxil, and man did I pack on the pounds quickly with that one.  So I really don't know how much affect they have on metabolism, I gues it just depends on the person.  At times I felt it was an uphill battle also, I even used my anti-depressants as an excuse to stay heavy, basically I just had to push through it eat as healthy as I can, and most importantly especially when your on anti-depressants..EXERCISE EXERCISE EXERCISE...it makes such a difference in your mood when done along with taking the anti-depressant.
Foods What is a "good" grade? Nov 15 2006

I'm glad I am not the only one who gets mad about the grading system, I can not stand seeing lower grades for good food.  To me it seems wrong to get a B for fruit, yes I know it's because of the sugar, but it's good sugar so why can't it be an A.  I found an Oatmeal, that is low in calories, fat, sodium, and sugar, and high in fiber and protein, and it got a C- now how does that make any sense?.  I am starting to feel like I don't want to log anything anymore because I just get disappointed when I think I am eating healthy and the grade shows otherwise.  I did read the article that librarygirl suggested however it really didn't make me feel better, I think I am putting way too much stock in this grade thing.  I just can't get past the fact the the healthy foods should have the high grades. I guess I need to accept the fact that no matter how hard I try everyday can not be an A day.

Weight Loss My roommates are killing my diet...help Nov 10 2006

aaahhhhh roommates, god I miss those days, I am assuming you are in college and if not bare with me while I remember the best 4 years of my life, I loved every second of it and if I could just go back for a few days I would be sooooo happy.  Ok now back to my reality...5 month old baby...bla bla bla.......ok back to you, my advivce even though it sounds crappy....you have to be accountable for your actions....believe me I know this is hard when you have roommates, but basically if they are not on the diet as well, you are pretty much on your own.  What I used to do if they were eating crappy food in front of me, I would either go to my room, go for a walk, go for a shower, just do something till they were done, that way you will be less tempted.  As for the candy on the table......that's where your willpower comes in, just remember nothing tastes as good as thin feels.  Good luck

Weight Loss Me again . . . 'CURVES' . . . tried it? Nov 06 2006

I think its one of those places that you have to try yourself, I know they give free week trials, so I suggest you do that.  I have been going and I do enjoy it for the most part, you get out what you put in at curves, the more you move and the harder you work the machines the more you'll get out of it, I am not too fond of busy gyms also, so I choose to go later (my curves is open till 830pm) so I am not with a lot of people.  I do also work out at home as well because 3 days a week seems a little low to me, I used to go 5 days a week but now I can't so I do 3 days at curves and the other days I work out at home.

Hey there

Well to put it simply enjoy them now,  :)  I am 29 just had a baby boy about 5 months ago and my boobs are different, they do get bigger, then your milk comes in and they get really big, then they get smaller after your milk regulates, and then softer and then they start to sag.  I did not breastfeed for long so size wise they have gone pretty much back to normal but they are no where near as firm as they were before, if I wear a sports bra I can tell they are saggier than before, but with a push up bra there is really no difference,  anyone who tells you their breasts are the same as before they got  pregnant I would have to see because I just don't see how it's possible, but then again there are always exceptions.  I'll tell you one thing though after you have a baby the things that use to matter or atleast you thought mattered somehow don't anymore, life somehow becomes more complicated yet simpler it's weird and wonderful.  Hope this helps

Hey seashel

sorry a couple days late, there is nothing weird about this book at all there are just three things that you have to do while reading...do not stop or cut down, stop feeling doom and gloom about quitting, and open up ypur mind, that's it really; and just read the book, it's about all the traps of smoking and how to get out, everything in this book he points out is simple everyday stuff that we dont think about when it comes to smoking.  One of the first pages talks about how when someone decides to quit its as if it is the worst thing in the world and most people are upset when the last smoke is gone, but realistically we should be happy considering quitting is a smart thing to do, why should we be upset about giving up something that is killing us and costing us a fortune!!!! basically the book gets you to see smoking differently..there is no hoky poky stuff it is just stuff that is true and logical....GET IT!!!!

Hello and welcome!!

Just wanted to let you know that I started her on Oct 30th and as of today the 03 of nov I have already lost 2 pounds!!!! this site is great, its kind of time consuming at first because it takes time to tag all the foods you eat but once that's done, it's really quick to enter all your food in, I am on 1200 calories a day and I now have 54 more pounds to lose, at the beginning of the week I was feeling that 1200 is really not enough and now that it's the end of the week I am already struggling to get to 1200 calories, if you use all the tools on this site I am sure it will work for you, and most importantly don't forget to exercise!!!!

united...lol...he actually has clinics on eating.  Like I said at first when a friend told me about the book I thought they were crazy, but I went and bought it read half of it and got scared because I knew it was going to work and I wasn't sure if I was really ready, so I stopped reading and kept smoking for a few weeks, then I set a date read the rest of the book and have not looked back since.  I wish everyone would read this book who wants to quit.

not sure if any of you are up to this, but it worked for me and was really easy, I thought it was the stupidest thing when I first heard it but I was wrong and I quit after 16 years of smoking and I am not lying when I say this....it was one of the easiest things I have ever done......all you have to do is get the book by Allen Carr called How to be a Happy Non Smoker.  It worked for me so maybe it will work for you, I thought how is a book going to make me quit..but it did.

I have the Gazelle freestyle crosstrainer, and I love it, it was worth every penny, it would be great for you if your looking for low impact, the dvd's that come with it are great, challenging, and I never get bored, they have beginner, intermediate, advanced, and expert workouts, there are lots of different exercises you can do, although it looks like your just swinging back and forth, there is sooo much more to it.  GET ONE!!!! :)
