I've been AWOL as well. I was doing great for about 2 weeks but over the past 3-4 days not so hot. I managed to hurt my back and have not been able to do much in the way of exercise. I have been on my feet more as I generally feel less pain when standing than when sitting. Another reason for not being online as much.

I had been going for an evening walk most days while my Son was at basketball practice but they've cut back on practices now that games are starting so the walks have dwindled as well. By the time we get home from work, games, and other school functions it is just too dark for walks. I live out in the country along a major highway that isn't lit so will only walk during the daylight hours.

We'll be heading to Georgia for Thanksgiving. We're leaving Wednesday afternoon and will return Sunday night so those days will not include logging since my internet connection will be lacking.  Luckily most snacking/meals will involve lots of vegetables and hopefully we can do some afternoon walks with extended family. So hopefully I will be able to maintain for the most part.

Kyashiis: I'm sorry to hear about your aunt and sister. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. Remember to take time for yourself as well. You are no good to your family if you aren't well yourself.

.5 lbs is better than nothing which is what I actually expected this week. I've had too many days of high sodium and uncontroled snacking. Hopefully once I get through Thanksgiving I can get back on track.

Haven't got around to doing measurements yet but will try to get those done today and post to my journal.

Motivation:

My health - Most of my immediate family has diabetes as well as high blood pressure & heart disease. I don't want to end up down that road. So far I don't show any signs of problems but if I don't take control of my health I'm sure to become one of those statistics. I want to be in a healthy BMI range.

My kids - If I expect them to live a healthy life then I need to start by setting a good example. I can't expect them to eat healthy if I'm not preparing healthy foods or to exercise if all they see me do is sit on the couch.

My husband - I want to be able to have an active, healthy life to spend with my husband. I want to be around to enjoy everything we've talked about wanting to do once the kids are grown and on their own.

Shopping - I want to be able to go into any store and purchase clothing without having to order from internet sites or go to specialty stores in order to find the plus sizes that I need.

I'm 40 years old and started on CC just over 2 years ago. For the first year I faithfully logged and was doing pretty good (lost about 30 lbs) then for one reason or another I stopped logging as regularly and the weight started creeping back on.

I started logging and counting calories again in January unfortunately I would allow myself a "cheat day" here and there and they soon became common place. I also found myself spending alot of time at the computer (logging and reading the forum posts) and exercising less and less. Around September I started focusing more on eating a healthy diet rather than on weight loss and finally the scale is starting to move in the right direction again.

I'm looking forward to having another successful round of BLC. My goal is to get under 230 lbs which I haven't seen since before my daughter was born . She just turned 14!

Congrats! I always enjoy hearing from those who have lost a large amount of weight to help keep me motivated to do the same. I've been working on this for 2 years now but slowly I'm making progress. I'm looking forward to the day when I can say that I'm at my goal and have maintained for more than a year. Thanks for sharing.

I lost a total of 5 lbs over 10 weeks which for me is great. I've been having problems staying motivated lately but I think I'm finally back on track (until the next roadblock comes along anyway) thanks to the S&L challenge, Lily, and everyone here. I was actually surprised when I did my measurements that it looks like maybe I've lost a couple of inches overall.

We're getting into our hectic schedules now which means squeezing in exercise when/where I can. We're constantly on the go between basketball practice, cheer practice, games and just the routine meetings. I've been squeezing in a walk on practice nights since I can walk around town while my son is at practice then I also try to get up early enough that I can get in 15 minutes on the exercise bike before work. Depending on practice times I also try to do another 15 on the bike in evening but it doesn't always happen - like tonight.

Total Loss: 2.5 lbs

I'm finally back to my low from last year. Almost 1 year exactly I had gotten down to 239.5 from 277 last year but then let things slide so I'm happy to finally be back down and working on going lower! My next mini goal is 235. I haven't been this low since before my daughter was born. She's just turned 14!

I need to work on drinking more water. I used to have no problem getting 10-12 glasses a day but lately I'm lucky if I get 5.  Having trouble with the exercise as well. I need to be doing at least 30 minutes a day but somedays I'm doing well to get 15 in. I will admit that there've been a number of times I've been ready to stop after just 10 minutes. The thought of missing those 3 points just because I couldn't hold out for 5 more minutes has kept me going.

Off to bed to get my 8 hours of sleep (and another point!)

Some impressive loss this week!

miabel: You are doing great! Down 11 lbs in 6 weeks that is Awesome!

runnignbuns: down 3 lbs this week  - Way to go!

heavenly: down 5.2 lbs!!! You're doing great! I've found that now that I'm keeping my sodium down I'm not doing the yo-yoing so much. You can do it! How's the exercise coming? I'm slowly getting back into mine but not to the extent that I was.

jweber96: down 2 lbs - Congrats on the 2 workouts and of course raking leaves counts!

I'll be back tomorrow to post my weigh in. I'm hoping for a loss this week. {fingers crossed}.

Everyone is doing great! Remember it's all about living a healthier lifestyle and improving our health. With that will come the weight loss.  Thanks for the motivation everyone!

I'm still around as well. Just in the same boat regarding the weight loss (or lack there of). I've been losing and gaining the same 2-3 lbs for several months now.  I've also been managing to eat at my maintenance most days and I wasn't logging most days.  I think I'm finally back on track now. I've been logging faithfully since the 1st of Nov and have an average deficit now of around 500 so hopefull the weight will start to go back down and stay there!

Today is a beautiful day. The sun is out and the temperature is in the mid 70s. So far I haven't been able to enjoy much of it. We've been stuck inside for basketball games watching our son. I've got an hour or so and I'm going to head out for a walk before heading back for another ball game. Then maybe a late afternoon walk before heading to the school drama performance with the family. I'm sure this will be one of our last really nice weekends so I want to take advantage of the time we can spend outside.

Went for a 30 minute walk this evening with my husband and daughter. We've been using my son's time at basketball practice as our exercise time as well. Since he has practice 3-4 times a week that means I will be getting in my exercise as well. At least until the weather gets bad, then I'll have to move the exercise inside. My fingers are crossed that the icy winter weather will stay away - far, far away! I can handle the cold and even snow but we tend to get a lot of ice as well which can make for difficult walking.
