Checking in

 As of today I have lost 28 pounds and 18 total sinces since I started my journey on 8.13.07

I've reached 10% of my body weight gone and I am soooo thrilled to be seeing the numbers go down down down!!

My next goal is 45lbs gone by my birthday. Which is 1-19. That's 12 weeks from now and I am CONFIDENT that I will acheive my goals

I hope everyone else is doing great!

You're doing fabulous, keep up the great work!!!!!! Take a moment to look back on how you got the first 33lbs gone and see if something in there will help motivate you again...

Hey all!!! Wanted to check in!! I have lost 20lbs so far since 8-13 so just shy of 2 months!!

 WOO HOO!!

Today I walked 5 miles at the park instead of my normal 4.25!! I'm feeling great and seeing the changes starting to take place on my body!!!!!!!!

My 2 cents yes your wasting your money, you may loose the weight now but the second you stop taking the shakes or the "vitamins" it all comes back and FAST!

I did Herbalife in 99, It ROCKED I lost 30lbs in about 6 weeks and was ontop the world, even convinced myself to be a distributor( never sold anything) aand then got burned out on the shakes every day, and stopped having one, then stopped having both, and it wasn't long and the scale was going up up.

Ask yourself this, do you think you can drink vanilla, strawberry, chocolate or banana flavored shakes twice a day for the rest of your life? If you answer is no then you have your answer.

 Loosing weight is about making lifestyle changes, changes you can stick with forever and for me drinking shakes (thats not even that good and are gritty) and popping 50+pills a day for the rest of my life just wasn't for me

FIRST OF ALL!! A BIG CONGRATS TO EVERYONE WHO's LOOSING!!

 

I posted this in the motivation forum, but wanted to share with ya'll too

***Heres a little Motivation**

Hey! I had to brag about my motivation! I started my weight loss journey on 8.13 at 265lbs and I have just added up all the miles that I have walked in that months time and I got a total of

49 MILES!!! WOW OH WOW!! I have been walking 3 times a week, I started at 2.25 miles and have gradually worked my way up to 4 miles per day!! I am just so excited because I am up and moving and I'm seeing the my hard work pay off (I have lost 13 pounds in that month too)

 So I wanted to cheer everyone on, I've been sticking to the motto that I made up for myself

YOU GOTTA GET MOVING IF YOU WANT TO GET LOOSING

Shaking my head! this from a girl who's been "glued" to the computer for the last few years, has walked 49 miles in a month!!

Sooooo I got on the scale this morning and guess what  

 all this hard work is paying off I'm down another 1.5 pounds

so 12.5 now gone!! WOOOO HOOOOOOO

YAY!!!!!

 

How's everyone else doing??

I purchased the fitday program 3 years ago, so I am using that,  I came here and tried to track things but if I didn't know the gram amount I was SOL,

 I dislike very much the format of this "forum" its one bigger forever long post, that makes it very very hard to navigate through (IMO) so I made my own board (link in my profile) not to replace this but in addition to. Just so I don't go crazy trying to find what I need! LOL...

 So I chat here, and there, track my food on fit day and my exercise and weight on Calorie Count! LOL

I guess I jump all over the place

Awesome! You know I've noticed that too, when I eat more I'm using less calories (because of what I'm eating!!)

My offer still stands if anyone wants to come hang out at the board I made, We defiantly could keep things more accessable and not have so many pages to go through to find the replies (link is in my profile) No pressure, just an offer.

 I'll just keep posting at both :-) Keeps me really motivated.  I would also be glad to make avatars or weight loss awards for anyone interested, that's what I love to do so if anyone wants one send me a message.

Can I brag for just a minute on myself??? Tonight after talking to Vicki I was so motivated to exercise that I got up, kicked dh off the tv and I did another 45 minutes of my power 90 dvd!! So I did it TWICE in one day

I did both sets of 3/4 Sculpt and then sweat!! WOOO HOO!!

I am just very very determined to get this weight off! I refuse to quit!! GO ME!

That's what I wanted to hear! Yay!

 Nope, I refuse to give up on my weight loss journey, and I am tracking EVERYTHING I put in my mouth, I will only eat just enough calories *usually a bowl of grapenuts with ff milk" to get me to the 1200 mark so I don't fall below it.

 Now on nights that I've already reached the minimum goal or my goal (1700) I don't have a snack, I am only doing it so I don't fall below the "safe" zone..

I'm astrong believer in it doesnt matter what time of day you get calories as long as it doesnt interfere with when you exercise.

Ok so as long as I'm getting my exercise in daily (like I do,) than it shouldn't matter if I eat at 7pm or 9pm?

I just don't want to mess things up by eating to  get to the daily min calories.

Do you zero it out before getting on? If you have a digital scale anytime it gets moved it needs to be zeroed out (step on it, let it go to 00) then get on and weigh.

I always do it twice just to make sure, if I get 2 in a row it's good.. Now however if you weigh, then go walk around the house or do something it can affect the number because of the blood flowing around..

ME ME ME!! That was me!! It took me two weeks and I had only lost 2 lbs and I was so frustrated!

Keep in mind that you are building muscle as you are exercising and muscle does weigh more than fat..

DONT STOP!! I just finished my first month and after that crazy 2 week period, I've lost 11 total pounds for the month!

You can do it!!!

Congrats on quitting smoking!! I too am a former smoker (december will be 2 years) and if you can quit smoking than YOU CAN ACHIEVE YOUR WEIGHT LOSS GOALS!!

 That's what's keeping me going, to a point, when I feel like quitting I remind myself, Hey if you can quit the hardest thing in the world than you can keep walking! LOL

Boom... I definatly Have to agree don't beat yourself up over 1 meal. It's over and done~! Learn from it! In my first month I think I had 2 or 3 times that I went over but I refuse to beat myself up for what I chose to eat...

 Keep plugging away, at the 11 day mark I was ready to quit, because I had only lost 2 pounds and was starting to feel like "whats the point"... I AM SOO glad I didn't stop and I don't want you to either..

It's like the first 5 and the last 5 are the worst to loose,  but I KNOW that you will be successful,   take my hand, we can do it together!!!

 Heres to another sucessful month!
