| Weight Loss | Losing Weight Too Quickly? | Apr 01 2008 17:24 (UTC) |

Your body is probably dropping some water weight and letting go of some sodium. When many people change their eating habits from not good to healthy, the weight at first comes off quickly. It will probably slow down soon. A healthy rate of loss is anywhere from .5 to 2 pounds a week. You don't have a whole lot to lose, I am guessing, since losing 9 pounds would put you at a healthy BMI. Just keep eating healthy and watching your calories and sticking to the amount that is working and your body will do what it needs to do!! |

They do grow back, but it takes awhile. About 2 years ago, mine started to fall out, and I never figured out why. Then it stopped and they finally grew back. I ended up wearing falsies for a couple of months until it was no longer noticeable. They will come back! Unless you just continue to lose them, then I might go to a dr. |

| I, too, have large calves. My boyfriend is 6'3" and we have the same size circumfrence! I thought I would never get to wear knee high boots, as they were all too tight! I found a pair of Jessica Simpson boots that fit like a glove, they are amazing! Just keep looking, there is a pair out there for everybody! | |||

| I didn't try the diet, but I drank 3 shots a day for about 2 weeks to try to help me pass a test. I didn't notice any extra help in the weight loss department. It tastes horrible...just a warning. | |||

| Thanks for the responses. I am 5'3", about 149 (haven't weighed in about a week) and eat about 1500-1600 calories. My normal workout routine is running anywhere from 30 to 40 minutes 5 times a week. Sometimes 4, but more often 5. I have started to incorporate lunges, about a two weeks ago. The 10% of the time is usually beer or bad food. I wouldn't call them "binges" but I feel it is hindering me a little bit. I have cut WAY back on the drinking, so I am aware of the downfalls and am working on it. I drink about 96 ounces of water a day, if not more. I try to log almost everything, but it is usually monday thru friday. I am just frustrated! I am afraid if I eat more, I will not lose, but gain! When I first started, I was trying to lose on about 1200-1300, and I think I was not eating enough. Thanks for any more advice! | |||

| I had a question about the training. I have been running for 12 weeks, anywhere from 4 to 6 times a week for 25 to 40 minutes at a time. Should I take a week off for my body? I haven't started weights, yet, just cardio. If I do take a week off, should I go for walks or anything, or just do nothing? Thanks! | |||

| You can enter in your recipe and the site will analyze for you. I think it is under tools or food, new recipe. It is really neat and handy. You can enter anything and any serving size. This is what I do when I make something from a recipe or from scratch. Hope this helps! | |||

| I agree with all the posts about loving yourself. Although, I love myslef more now that I have started running every morning, and guess what....My cellulite is slowly starting to go away! Working out consistantly is helping so much. I can tell a huge difference and it has only been about 10 weeks. I can't wait to see the progress I make in the next ten weeks! | |||

| I agree with all the posts on here....how bad do you want this? I am up running at 6 am every morning. I have an hour commute to work and this is the time that fits for me to get it done, because I WANT IT. I WANT TO LOSE WEIGHT AND BE HEALTHY. Either commit, or don't. It is hard, but doable. | |||

| I love baked potatoes! I eat them with a little salt and pepper, tiny bit of low fat butter and a half cup of fat free cottage cheese, and I am in love! I have even eaten if for breakfast! They are filling and good for you, as long as you don't load them down with crap that is bad for you! | |||

| This could be a sign of diabetes, or some other issue. I would go see your doc and explain your symptoms. Maybe get some blood tests to see if anything is up. That is my advice! |

| I understand how you feel. I in my 8th week of running every morning (M-F) and eating very healthy. The scale is not moving as fast as I would like. At first I wasn't eating enough. But I also took measurements. I just took some new ones today and there is a difference there! So my scale is not moving, but my size is going down. Something for you to think about. Do your clothes fit different, any looser? That is a sign things are going in the right direction. The most important thing is to not give up! You are doing great and it WILL show! | |||
| Motivation | Sabotage | Sep 25 2007 20:17 (UTC) |
|
| I have done that before as well. This time, something just clicked and I am more motivated than ever. Maybe it is because I have to be a bridesmaid. Maybe it is becuase I was just sick of being bigger. Maybe it was because I want my boyfriend's friends' to not think I am fat.....Whatever the reason, when you are ready, really ready, then you will commit and follow through to your goal. It is attainable, and it is something YOU can do. Positive thinking and small changes at a time are good things to start with. |

| Weight Loss | Weekend binging? | Sep 25 2007 18:18 (UTC) |
|
| It is so hard! I know how it goes.....but you need to think to yourself.....do I want to lose this weight, or waste my calories and money on this not needed binge? I have been working really hard the last couple of months with this problem. The weekends have always been my downfall. I decided that if I was going to get serious about losing weight, I would have to get serious about not drinking and eating like a pig on the weekends! It is hard, but I am getting better at it. Good luck! | |||

| I am in week 4 of working out first thing in the am, and I love it. I roll out of bed, go for my jog, shower then eat some breakfast and off to work! I feel better when I get to work after my am workout. It fits in with my schedule the best, and I think that is the most important thing. If jumping rope in the am is what you can stick with, then that is what will work for you! | |||
