Tough week but managed to loose 3 lbs. Mostly by increasing exercise. I think the cold is working to increase my metabolism too. Of course this challenge is the biggest and best reason..........Thanks to all....

I like the name - a weigh we go.

Exercise - its a lonely road. I was snuggled in my bed this morning (nice and cozy) and all I didn't want to do is meet the "girls" for a walk at 7:00 A.M and -4 degrees. My good self said "Lisa get out of bed this is a COMMITMENT, you know, so I says to myself yes thats right. My bad self said, peak out the window" so my bad self got out of cozy bed and peaked out the window and by god, there was ICE, THICK ICE, all over my car windows. So bad self says go back to bed, so I did. But good self said look at the clock it was 6:40 a.m. The battle waged for another 5 min. Good self finally won the battle. (Painful as it was)

Moral of the story - who is motivating YOU today.....

Hi Guys,

I have worked out today. So far this week I have managed some type of work out. I started running two months ago. It is such a struggle. A friend of mine gave me a book called CHI Running. Has anyone heard of it? I am reading it know. It is suppost to help you correctly run without injury. I am from Northern Nevada. We have no snow, but temps in the teens. Yuck. I think I'd rather have snow.

This challenge sure makes me think on every day on what I will be doing and eating. Great idea.

How is everyone elses exercise going??

Yesterday I did 35 min at contours and ran/walked 45 min, cause I knew i would report it. All you that worked out, keep it up. As hard as it is to do, it only makes sense. Just little things add up. Well off to run again.

For a name: From Zero to Hero.

Thanks again for this challenge, I just wasn't doing it on my own very well, I have 37 more pounds to loose.

I just started running/walking. It is hard because I do it outside and it is cold out there. Myself and three others have formed a "club". We meet on Saturdays and I do not want to let them down, so I keep it up. We are training for the 1/2 marathon in Reno on May 6 next year (cinco de mayo race). It is an ambitious project for me. I am hoping that I can keep it up. (and loose the weight) I have just joined this web site and love it. I have 30 plus pounds to loose. The pounds have loved my body for years and it aint easy to get 'em off.

If there is anyone else that wants to do the Cinco de mayo run, let me know. I know they have 5k and 10k too. Thanks for the support

Hi,

I just found this web site. Today is my official kick off day. I start at 166. I have been trying for a year to lose it, but all I did was lost motivation. I am hoping this will work for me, as I have 25 to 30 ugly, stubborn lbs. to lose. At 47 it does not sit well on me. Any help is appreciated. Thanks for the great web site.
