Good morning,

I am sitting at my computer eating yogurt,so I thought I would drop you all a line.  I am down 1 pound from my original 10 to lose.  So I guess that means 9 to lose.  I went to pilates last night, but I had a terrible time.  I couldn't point or flex my foot properly and I couldn't do a plank at all.  I am so frustrated.  I have an appointment tomorrow at 1:30.  The appointment will probably result in tests of some sort and more waiting.  It is just the weirdest pain/sensation I have ever had. I have never had the pain and tingling on the top of my foot.

Ohio: Good luck with the sinus infection.  If you don't feel overly hungry, keep yourself well hydrated and your energy level won't suffer as much.  And no, I didn't injure my foot at all.  It just started hurting.

Tonia: My husband loves prime rib.  It is a fatty meat, but I guess that is what makes it taste good.  I have started to look at my diet as an overall effort.  I try to look at the whole week and evaluate myself on how I did instead of just day by day.  I wish calorie count had an option like that.

Well, lunch is over.

Good morning,

I am at school and this is my lunch, so I thought I would drop you all a line.  I am doing well, but I am having a problem with my left foot.  I have tingling, numbness, and pain on the top part of my foot.  I rested it for 2 days, but it still feels the same.  I think I am going to continue to rest it for another day or so and see what happens.  I guess I may have to make time for a visit to the doctor.  I just don't have the time!

My son has a cold and yesterday started complaining of an ear ache.  I gave him tylenol and a decongestant, but he refused to stay home from school.  I had our school nurse look at his ear with a scope and she said it was definitely red and inflamed.  So, I made an appointment for him after school.  If I get done in time, I want to go to a pilates class.  I will give up jumping on my foot, but not on exercise all together.

If I find time when I get home, maybe I will try to post a photo.

Have a great day everyone,

Hello everyone!

It is so nice to see everyone is making progress!  Today I went to the gym and I did a class called BodyFlow.  It is a very intense class that is a combination of Tai Chi, Pilates, and Yoga.  I really loved it.  My scale is still at the same exact spot.  I have exactly 10 pounds to lose!

Abi:Congratulations on your weight loss!  Do you exercise?  You are very tall and I know you said you are small boned.  Make sure you check with your physician to make sure your goal isn't too low.  Good luck!

Tando: I know what you mean about nuts!  I love them.  If you have to shell peanuts, it slows you down.  I also love almonds, pecans, and cashews.

Tonia: You look fab in your photo!  I can't figure out how to put a photo up.  It was really nice to put a face to a name.  I am glad to hear you are feeling better.  Do you train by yourself?  I have found that training with a group really is theraputic.

CC: I am glad to hear you are feeling better too!  This can be such a challenging time of year to maintain health.

Ohio: I hope the company is going well.  Enjoy the conversation and companionship.

Well, my daughter and I are going to go do some shopping.

Have a great day!

Good Morning everyone!

I am sitting at school eating my Fat free Lentil soup for lunch.  It is loaded with protein and I hope it fills me up.  Last night went well and I completed my exercise goals.  Tonight I plan to do a 60 minute step class and then a 60 minute strength class.  The last time I did that I was really tired.  I guess I just have to build up to it.

Ohio: I think I am going to do a gradual clean eating plan.  I think it would be much too hard and frustating to cut out all artificial colors and flavors, sugar, and white flour.  I already only eat fish and no meat.  A few years ago I had a terrible time with hives and the allergist couldn't figure out what was causing it.  I stripped down to completely clean eating and they went away.  I felt good, but sometimes deprived.  I really love icecream and that was the hardest to give up.

Hi guys,

I am waiting for my daughter who is tutoring calculus at my school.  I am doing well and trying to stay focused on eating as clean as possible.  I am trying to eliminate sugar from my diet first.  I plan to go to the gym tonight for a spinning class and then a lower body strength training session.

Tonia: My thoughts and prayers are with you.  I know you can get through whatever is causing your symptoms.  I know when my daughter was going through a lot of pain from our car accident, my health started to fail.  Stress is a very real factor in our over all health.

Tando:  I wasn't creeped out by his comment, but I did think, hey look at your own wife (ha, ha).

Ohio: Easter comes early this year!  But, I know you can do it if you put your mind to it.

Well, I gotta go.

Good morning everyone!

I have off today for MLK day and I love it.  I went to the gym this morning and did a 60 minute  BodyStep class and then a 60 minute strength training class.  In the strength class, the owner of the club was the instructor.  It made me realize how much I really can push myself and improve my muscle tone.  I am probably going to be sore tomorrow.

cc: I am sorry to hear you are sick.  Rest, fluids and Advil sound like a good plan.  I would give the fever about 3 days to take care of itself and if it doesn't, it is probably worth giving your physician a call.

ohio:  I think I might be on a plateau.  I may just have to work on fitness level and not worry about the scale until I break through.

It is freezing in PA also.  We were really feeling spoiled for awhile, but now I think winter is here to stay.  I want to get outside and run, but I usually like it to be above 32 degrees F.

Well, gotta go!

Hello everyone,

I just got back from the gym.  I did a 60min spinning class and a 30 min core class.  My calories have been within 1500 and I have been exercising 60-90 per day six days a week.  The scale is still not moving.  I do feel fantastic though.  My skin looks great and I have tons of energy.  I guess I will focus on that for now.  I even overheard a friend of my husband's say 'Jack's wife has a killer body'.  I will take that over a few pounds down on the scale!

cc: I love Reese's puffs too!  I don't get to eat much because my son finishes the box in two mornings.  Congrats on the A's.  It is very cold here this morning.  When I left for the gym, it was 11 degrees with a windchill of 2.

Tando:  I think men just don't notice things like hairstyles.  I think that is kind of good in a way.  If there is a day when I don't feel like fussing with my appearance, my husband doesn't really seem to notice.

Well, stay warm and have a great day.

Hello everyone,

My life has been crazy and my weight is up.  I am so frustrated!  I have been exercising daily for 60 to 90 minutes.  I have been doing a lot of cardio to get ready for the race season.  This is my lunch, but a student needs me gotta go!

Good morning everyone,

I had a crazy week this week at school.  We had parent teacher conferences from 6-9 after teaching all day.  This was for 3 out of the 5 days.  I tried to run in between school and the start of conferences, but I felt so rushed I didn't get the full benefit.  My diet has been very healthy and within 1500 calories.  I am adding more yogurt to my diet.  I recently read an article that not only is it good for your digestive system. but 3 servings a day can rev your metabolism.

oh no gotta go!

Hello everyone,

I did not do as well as I would have liked at dinner last night.  I forgot about the cheddar biscuits! I had 2 and they are 160 calories each.  I had water with lemon and no dessert, but I still went over my 1300 calorie limit.  Oh well, we had a fun time.  Both of my kids were in a silly mood and we laughed through dinner.  I still feel full.  I had a cup of coffee this morning and I think I am going to eat a small bowl of cereal just to get my metabolism going.  A little bit later I will head to the gym for a killer spinning class.  I dread it a little, but once I am there, the instructor is very motivating and I find myself really pushing my limits.

Ohio: My daughter (age 17) loves IKEA.  Her room is full of purchases from that store.  She can take her babysitting money and buy quite a lot.  The nearest one to me is Philadelphia, about a 90 minute drive.  When do you head back home?  I know you are really going to miss your daughter, but getting back on track with your healthy eating plan will give you something to focus on.

Tonia: My weight definitely went down when I was training.  I am really looking forward to the challenging work.  It probably won't be to comfortable to ride in PA at least for another 2 months.  Also, both of the races are going to be in the exact same venue, so I want to beat last year's times.  I figure one year older, one minute faster!

Tando: You are almost there!  I am envious, but I know you worked really hard and deserve to be at goal. Congratulations!  I certainly agree that it is so hard to take it off and so easy to put it on. But, I also think maintaining is equally as tough, maybe harder.  That is why I am where I am today.  Seven pounds over goal.  :(    I am not giving up though because I know the scale will just keep climbing unless I consciously count calories and exercise daily.

Time to go.

Hello everyone,

It is just so hard to find time to read everyone's posts and respond.  I am doing well.  I went to the gym this morning and I had special k and strawberries for breakfast and fat free lentil soup for lunch.  I am taking my kids to Red Lobster for dinner because we got a gift card for Christmas.  My husband is at Army Reserves this weekend and he doesn't like seafood.  I was looking at the calories in the different entrees and I think I am going with the broiled flounder and broccoli.

Tando:  I know the feeling of wanting to go to bed instead of eating.  Sometimes a cup of tea helps, sometimes not.  You should be so proud of being so close to goal weight.(Maybe you made it back already).

cc: I have done the chocolate chip thing before and it feels so bad afterwards.  It isn't even real candy!  Good luck with your midterms.

Tonia: I hear you about the cold weather.  How cold has it been where you are?  In PA it has been hovering around 32.  I can handle 40 and above.  My training group will be starting up again soon.  We first will train for a 4.3 mile challenging run for ALS and then for a triatholon in June.

Well, gotta go,

Hello everyone!

This is my lunch break at school.  I am hoping to take a few minutes everyday and check in.  Yes, we are all back on the wagon now.  I really do miss my leisurely schedule.  I enjoy teaching, but I am here from 7 - 3:15, then my daughter has physical therapy at 3:30- 4:45, then I hope to hit a BodyAttack class at 5:15.  I won't get home until 6:40 so I put chicken in the crockpot and put together a salad for dinner.  I think it just takes a little extra planning on my part and I don't always want to do it.

New Year's Eve was wonderful, but probably the worst I have done all holiday.  We have a group of friends that we travel with and they are all so much fun.  This one woman makes the most amazing homemade macaroni and cheese.  I didn't even record how much I ate.  I figured I had at least 2 cups of macaroni and cheese alone.  I guess everyone has their weakness.

Ohio: spend as long in Florida as you can!  In PA we are not supposed to make it out of the 20's today.

Tando: I love your resolutions.  Mine is just to treat myself well everyday. Eat right and make the time for my exercise.  Sometimes it feels very selfish, but I know it makes me a better mom, wife, daughter....

CC: You are in my thoughts.  Take good care of yourself.

Well, TTYL

Hello everyone!

I just came back from the Hershey Spa.  I live about 20 minutes from Hershey, PA and they have a world renowned spa.  It was fabulous.  I got a gift card from my husband.  I had a wonderful sugar scrub, a chocolate fondue wrap, and then a chocolate massage.  I feel so relaxed.  I arrived at the spa about 90 minutes early and I swam laps in their beautiful pool, used the steam room, and the rain shower.  I wish I could treat myself once a month to this.  It was way better than anything I could have ever put in my mouth.

My eating is going well, but when I got on the scale I was up 1.2 pounds.  I now have 7.2 pounds to lose to get to the 10 pound mark.  Oh well, I am going to blame it on sodium.

Ohio, it is pretty ugly in this part of the country right now.  Enjoy the sunshine!

cc: I know exactly what you mean about schedules.  I am having a great time on break, but I do miss routine a bit.

Good morning!

I just got back from the gym.  I did a BodyStep class and some extra ab work.  My eating has been going well and I just feel plain good.  I will do some chores today and some visiting of friends.  In our area we just got a Wegmans, which is this fabulous grocery store.  The fresh fruit is simply amazing.  I live in PA, so often times the fruit is hit or miss in the winter.  I just ate a bowl of Special K with these terrific strawberries on top. Yum.  I think if I shop at Wegmans for my fruit, it will be easier to stay on track.

Well, I don't have much to say except, good luck!

Good morning everyone!

I got up early this morning and went to the gym for a strength training class.  It was very challenging.  Came home showered and went to the dentist for a checkup.  I love Christmas vacation.  I think I will finish my laundry, dust a little, and read.

Ohio: Are you still trying to fit in exercise?  That is what gets me through.  We have to count what we eat, but the exercise just seems to keep me in line.  Fruit is a good choice, but make sure it is really good fruit.  A so-so apple will just not do it for me, but a Pink Lady apple is a treat.  I agree it is difficult to be around young people who can just eat.  I teach high school and I have to be careful not to compare myself to them and judge myself to harshly.

CC: You really have it tough, Christmas, New Years and two birthday.  I think you should be proud of yourself for continuing to count!  It is so hard when you know you are way over.

New Year's Eve will be a family oriented party at a close friend's home.  There will be lots of games, music, and of course, food.  I think I am taking a veggie tray and a crock pot of vegetarian chili.  I am going to wear a fitted outfit and I hope that keeps me in check with my eating!

Have a great day.

Happy Day after Christmas everyone!

This post is so motivating for me.  I love to read what everyone else is doing.  I often think about what my eating would be like if I wasn't trying to eat healthy.  Everything in moderation is my slogan for this time of year.  Christmas Eve I went to the gym and did a fabulous step class.  Everyone in my family then went to my mother and father's home for Christmas Eve dinner.  My mom is so supportive.  In addition to all the rich food, she made steamed shrimp, and a beautiful steamed dish of broccoli, cauliflower, carrots, brussel sprouts...  I made sweet potatoes to take and I made them with cinnamon, and just a small amount of brown sugar.  Everyone else said they were very tasty and you could really taste the sweet potato.  Christmas day was very calm and pleasant.  My two teenagers were very happy with their gifts and I was able to go for a 5K run in the late morning.  When I came back, I did a series of push ups and sit ups.  I stayed under 1600 calories, so I feel great about that.  I got on the scale this morning and it is exactly the same as when I came back on the thread.  I still have 6 pounds to go.  I am very happy with that.  I am going to fold some laundry and then head off to the gym for a body attack class.

My best advice to everyone is to try to find calm.  When I am frazzled,  I tend to overeat.  I am trying to allow for plenty of travel time, do chores a little at a time, and just breathe.

CC: I understand exactly where you are coming from with the comments from family.  Know that they just want the best for you and take their comments in stride.  Always do what is best for your health.

Ohio: You are right about drinking the water.  It definitely helps me.  Try a little lemon in your water.  That seems to settle my stomach and take away some of the bloat.

Tonia: Sorry to hear about your back.  Know that you have to take it easy so you can get back to doing the things you love.  When I pulled a muscle in my back, my doctor said to only rest for a day or so and then begin gentle activity.  Walking and easy stretching to start.  He also prescribed a muscle relaxant, but all it did was put me to sleep, so I didn't take it more than twice.  We have a whirlpool tub and that also helped.

Have a terrific day everyone and remember to  moderate!

Hello everyone!

I got up early cleaned, did laundry and went to a spin class at 10:00AM.  I took a nice bath and headed to the mall.  My daughter had a few last minute things to pick up for friends and I went along.  My eating today is going pretty well.  It is almost 3:00 and I have eaten 632 calories.  Not bad.

Ohio; laughter is a great calorie burner! I am glad you are finished with shopping.  It is a great feeling.  I also loved your cake recipe!

Tando; Slow down, drink tea and plenty of other fluids, and add some vitamin C.  Hope you feel better.

Happy Holidays !

Happy Holidays!

I am so glad my holiday break is finally here.

Ohio:I like the salmonela thought, I am going to try it tomorrow when I am baking.  I also brush my teeth before I start baking and sometimes that helps.  I drink green tea everyday as well.  I think it gives extra energy.

Tando, it sounds like you need to delegate.  If everyone helps, it just is so much more pleasant.  I used to try to do it all myself and would always end up cranky and then after it was all over, I would come down with a cold.

Well today I stayed under 1400 calories and after school it was 43 degrees so I ran 3 miles outside.  It felt so good to be out in the sunshine.  After the run, I did situps, squats, pushups, and other core work for a good 30 minutes.  I didn't go to the gym because the traffic was so bad.  Good day overall!

Good luck everyone!  Santa is watching!

Hello everyone!

This is the last full day of school and the kids are just off the wall.  I teach high school and my mom teaches 4 year olds and we had the same things to say about our students.  Other than the students going crazy, everything is good.  I had a good workout last night and I hope to find time tonight as well.  I love BodyStep and BodyAttack, but tonight I might do a Pilates class.  My eating plan is going well, but it is my time of the month so I am avoiding the scale for now.  I need to go.  I just saw one of my students in the hall (this is my lunch)  with red marker on his nose.  I thinking to look like Rudolph.

Hello everyone!

Happy B-day Ohio!!!  I hope you had a great day.  Excellent job with your progress on health and wellness.

CC and Tando:  Woohoo!  Congratulations on meeting your goals.  You both should be very proud.

Today was very hectic.  My students are just about crazy with holiday spirit and my family is running in all directions.  I stayed within my calories and did a one hour Pilates class at my gym.  I am still a little hungry so I hope a cup of sugar free cocoa does the trick.  Of my last 10 pounds I currently still have 6 to go.     So this is my new starting point, with 6 stubborn pounds to go.  Well, time to do more chores and correct quizzes.  Have a great night!

Hello everyone!

How funny is it that Tonia and I both decided to check back in at the same time.  Life has been so crazy busy and something had to give.  The computer time was the first to go, but I am back.  I have kept up with my exercise and have been eating healthy as well.  The reason I started counting again was because of the upcoming holidays.  I think it is so easy to lose track of what we put in our mouth at this time of year.

It is so great to see everyone still counting and supporting one another.  I look forward to posting and reading your posts!

Hello everyone!

Things are crazy here!  I love my teaching job, but sometimes it is exhausting when coupled with parenting and homemaking.   Anyway,  I am keeping with my goals of exercising an hour per day for 4 days during the week and doing doubles on the weekend.  I have been allowing myself a break day once per week and it feels good.  I still do stretching, but not anything strenuous.

Ohio ;  Yeah for you!!! I am so proud of you.  I think it is so awesome that you post so regularly too.  The cold weather is a concern.  You just have to embrace it I guess.  When it is cold and damp, I don't even want to work and then go out to the gym after coming home.  I just try to remember that I love how it feels when I am all done.

tonia, when is your next event?  I have a 5 k the first Saturday in October and I would love to break 25 min.  I heard the course is a little hilly, so we'll see.

Well, I have to go.  Laundry to fold.

Hi everyone!

Hope everyone got off to a good start this week.  I had a good workout today walking and doing an hour class of BodyPump.  I will weigh in tomorrow.  We will see.  I do so well staying around 1400 calories in the beginning of the week and then wham! I fall to the temptation.

cc1170, Take it easy on the neck and shoulder.  I agree with holding off on any vigorous exercise.  If it continues, you can always try Advil, heat or ice, and massage.  Hang in there.  I also hate days I don't get to work out.

Tonia, hope all is going well.  Sometimes staying busy is a blessing in the eating department, but I always seem to have time to grab a cookie!

Tandosnip,  I am with you on exercising for life thing.  I would be way overweight if I didn't.  For me, swimming makes me the hungriest.  I try to eat things high in fiber that are filling. No way I am going to eat like a bird. Not at this stage in the game anyway.  I have never tried chocolate covered chips, but when I get the craving, I would probably take chocolate any way I can get it.

Ohio45, plateaus stink!  It is so unfair, but I do think maintaining is still very hard work and you need to celebrate.  Congrats on the fitting into 'new' clothes.  Don't just love to stand in front of your closet and everything fits?  Hang in there.  You can do it.  You may need to switch some things up.  Maybe the exercise, maybe you need a little more calories.  I know there were some hints in previous posts.  Good luck girl!

Prospectpark, I guess slow and steady wins the race? I think it will be something I will have to be aware of my whole life.  My weight is not my whole life; just something I have to work on to live my life to the fullest.

Have fun everyone!

Today is my day to get ready for the busy week ahead.  I ran 4 miles, did 20 min of strenth training and 20 minutes of stretching.  I feel pretty good, but where is that fall weather! I have been trying to keep my calories around 1400, but end up around 1600 because of snacking. :(

Prospectpark, I totally hear what you are saying.  I have rhumatoid arthritis and I give myself injections of Humira to keep it under control.  One of the biggest symptoms of this disease besides all of the pain, swelling, and more pain, is fatigue.  Sometimes I want to just plop on the couch and say, you know what, I'm sick.  I have to replace that thinking on a daily basis with: 'I know exercise is great for my body and my mind and I want to look and feel better.'  My husband is also a great supporter and thinks I look great at a size 10.  I think I look great too, but I want to look better for me.  I think it will always be a struggle. Congratulations on working out and sticking to a plan. Some days are just easier than others.  We are here for you!

Tandosnip, hope you had a good weekend.  I wonder if just communicating with each other we sort of all got on the same schedule? :)  Gotta love chocolate and chips. Sometimes I even think about chocolate covered chips

Ohio, You are almost there.  I hope you see 179 very soon!  I know how great it feels to reach a goal.  When I saw your post about green beans, I had to laugh.  Our Vet advised us to mix green beans with our dog's regular food to help her lose weight.  She hardly even noticed she was eating green beans and dog food because it was the same 'amount' she had always been eating.  My dog has lost 6 pounds in 2 months.  I think I will try to eat more green beans as well.  Good luck!

Well, I hope to read from all of you soon.

Hello everyone,

I just got back from a 20 minute walk and I am on my way to a Bodystep class.

Ohio: Spinning is an indoor cycling class. Sounds fun, huh? It can be done right brutal! I usually come out of the cycling studio soaking wet. If you have a motivating ( read 'tough as nails') instructor, you really push yourself.

Well, I need to grab water and get to class.

I post more later.

Hello everyone!

Just a quick line to stay in touch and keep me on track.  I love reading everyone's posts.  I am doing great.  I walked 30 minutes and took a BodyPump class.  I also did 20 minutes of stretching.  My eating was off today, but it is TOTM  :(  I guess you just have to roll with it.  I just want a peanut butter cup; anyone know what I mean?  Well, gotta go!  Tests to correct.

Hello everyone!

Sorry I haven't posted in so long.  I feel like I am out of the loop now.

Ohio: Congratulations!  I am  so happy for you. I know you said you gained it back, but I bet it will come off in the next 3 days.

cc1170: What degree are you working towards and where do you attend?  It is so tough when you know your brain and body could really use the extra calories, but you don't want to go over.  Take it one day at a time.

Welcome prospectpark, I don't think we have spoken before.  Sounds like you are definitely doing the right things.  What degree are you working towards?

tonia; I agree with you, we must treat ourselves well.  That means eating healthy and exercising regularly.  I think if in the big picture, we are doing well, then the small side trips to "what the heck" land are not as damaging.  I see a pattern with my behavior on the days of the week.  I start out very strong on Mondays and then get a little more relaxed with my eating by Thursday.

Hi tandosnip; posting does really help.  How far do you run in one hour? Sometimes an hour just seems so long.........

Well, I am doing well overall.  I have been able to fit in at least one hour of cardio in 6 days a week and strenghth training 3 days a week and stretching 20 minutes every day.  I know a lot of people don't think stretching is a good use of time, but I think as we get older, it definitely is.  My eating has been overall very healthy, although last Wednesday I was up 2.4 pounds.  This means I am only down 2.6 pounds.  I am trying to drink more water and focus on the goal of being healthy first and the 10 pounds second.

Good luck everyone!

Hello everyone!

Today was the first day I had students.  I teach high school math and love it.  I had a really good first day.  I got up at 5:30 and went for a quick walk and was at school for 7:00AM.  I have some really interesting students this year; I am anxious to get to know them.  After school, I got home about 3:30 and was at a BodyPump class at 4:15PM.  It is a super strength training class.  I was home for 5:35 and had dinner on the table for 6:30PM.  I spent about an hour with my kids filling out that dreaded first day paper work and discussing their first day.  They are both in the same building with me and I didn't see either of them all day.  My daughter and I just finished cleaning up the kitchen and I plan to fold some laundry.  Then my shower...Ahhh...

What I have discovered already is I need to work on my fluid intake at school.  I didn't have a thing to drink from 7AM until 12PM and I really felt it.  I am going to have to plan to drink more and take bathroom breaks.  I think it is a common problem for teachers not to drink enough because we won't have time to go to the restroom. So, overall eating was under 1400 and I think I did well with exercise.  I think once I get a routine down, I will be fine.  Weigh in for me is tomorrow morning.

Good luck everyone!

Good morning everyone!

Linden, I agree that the 'attention' burns calories and now that you brought it up, I don't feel so guilty for missing a cardio.  I too love icecream!  I try to limit myself to one cup on the weekends.  Sometimes that works for me.  I am the only one who adores icecream in our home, so it is here because of me :(

Ohio, great job with the 19 miles. Make sure you are sitting back far enough and don't lock your elbows. That helped me some. Don't be hesitant to keep going back to the store until it feels right.  I think the guys at my bike shop thought I was trying to pick one of them up, I was there so often! Good luck.

cc1170, I am glad to hear that writing helps.  Congratulate yourself! You are doing great things for your body and for your life.  Your girls will be little only once and do not feel guilty for a second about putting them first.  Any time you exercise and eat well, you are setting great examples for them.  Any time you spend time with them instead of exercising, you are also setting great examples for them.  It is a win-win.  We do what we can.  Feel good about it.  Good luck!

Today is so hot and humid that I plan to go to the gym for a very intense class called Body Attack.  If I get done with that and still have energy, I may do a 30 min abdominal class. I wanted to run, but it is just too humid. Yesterday went well with the calorie intake and I plan to stay under 1400 today as well.  One day at a time is the only way to go.  I plan to weigh on Wednesday, but I feel great.  My skin is clear, my energy is up, and my clothes fit well.  That is all great news for me.  I am still hoping to see a drop in the pounds, but if I don't I still have the other positives.

Good luck!

Tonia,

We must have been writing at the same time!  Congratulations on finishing second in your age group!  I love competing because it gives you such a feeling of empowerment.  Good for you! Keep up the great work!
