Ashwini_r - I guess it's just hard for some people. Some people drop weight faster than others, so 3 pounds might not be a big deal for them. Provided they are eating enough, and it's simply that their body is faster at dropping the weight, I don't think it's too bad. If the person is having a 1000cal+ deficit to drop those 3 pounds a week... That will get hard when their hunger builds up.

I was talking to my mother and sister yesterday.
Discusing how we all lost our appetites after our break ups and how they lost weight.
My mum dropped 8 pounds, my sister dropped around 20 I think.
Via Starvation, primarily, because they were too upset to eat and, I think, kind of liked the idea of not eating and becoming skinny.
However, despite my loss of appetite for a week, I didn't lose any weight.
I gained some actually due to my usual water retention.
And this week I've swung back to being hungry, too hungry actually, and eating around 2500 and not having a deficit.
sometimes overeating!
And thus, my weight has spiked, even higher.
So what do they say?
"God, you're just not depressed enough girl!"
Well hell, I'm sorry, but I think about stepping in front of buses.
So I'm plenty enough depressed, THANK YOU VERY MUCH.

*sigh*
Am logging today, posted all my calories this morning (Work, so have a packed lunch).
I probably wont have a very big deficit.
I'm going to starbucks and a soy latte would be so nice...
But they give me heart palpetations and shakes and I'm meant to be decorating a cake tonight so perhaps I will just stick with the herbal teas....

0 cal too. Wink

(Sorry for the rant)

I guess this month is going to be like the rest of them after all...
I hate water retention. Undecided
My body appears to be having its revenge on me.
The bastard.
As if I don't have enough going on.

Mischiefdm - Aw stop it, all this "Originator" talk is making me feel big headed. :P Lol.
Like I am your accient God or something.
*sighs heavily and pops ego* ok, no more sycho comments.

Thanks, I'm glad to be back!
I weighed this morning, and so fair maintaining at 144 pounds, which is really cool.
Usually by now I would be back to 148-150.
*happy dance*

Have a nice deficit today, since I did lots of weeding at work, and I resisted the urge to have a 158 cal chocolate yogurt, so i'm pretty pound of myself! :)
... Told myself I could just have one in the morning for breakfast, if I still want one.

Hi everyone...
Wow, it's been months since I've done a challenge.
Should be interesting.
I have started having some weird water-retention fluctuations, but hopefully this month will be better.

Hopefully I wont have gained any weight yet, since the 1st.
I am so sick of the fluctuations...
I'm usually 65.5kg (144lbs) for 1-3 days some time during my period, then as soon as it stops the weight just creeps back up again!
Dispite good eating.
*Sigh* Hopefully this month will be different, however. :)
Might be going to Aus in September and would rather be 140-144ish pounds than back up at 150-155.

Laurenann00 - Nope, not too many. Last I checked, just meryl, Isami and I. Though I haven't been logging the last 10 days because I broke up with my ... well, now ex-parter I guess. And have been too over the place.

Just start logging your food diaries on your journals and add meryl, isami and i as friends. :)

Well, stevia is worse...
I know that much.
So it's not much to be wishing for.
It can cause brain defects.
And no that's not just some weirdo hippy comment, I read it on a rather scientific website that was talking about them unbiastly.

All sweetners should be avoided like the black plague.

Not quite my goal but it's better than nothing. Sorry for being so late to weigh in and for not doing any weigh ins during the month! I know how annoying it is when people do that... I got really discouraged for ages and am only sort of getting back onto things. Thanks for continuing the challenge. :)

Well I'm not sure about the inteligence thing. Whenever tall broad women are portrayed on tv, they're oafs who are called Olga and look more like men in disguise!

And people tend to dislike models too.
Whether it be for jealousy or whatever.

(Sorry if that came off as sounding grumpy, I just woke up.)

Well... I brought heals (photo in my gallery).
They're boots, and I love 'em!
They make my calves look tiny!
I mean, I kind of have small calves anyway, but having boots that hug tight to them, instead of wearing baggy cargos or loose fitting jeans, just shows it off.
I really like them... But I'm still really hesitant wearing them in front of my mum.
I don't even want her to see them, 'cause I want to avoid her making any comments.
But I can't wait to bust them out and go around town in them!
Lol zip 'em on and sexy-fy myself just to go out and get coffee by myself.

... Wow i'm such a sad human being lol.

Any tall females in the New Zealand, Hamilton vicinity want to get coffee with me so we don't have to feel alone in our sexy boots?

Thanks for all the comments, it's cool reading through them.

Caclbmc - Oh my GOD that is a terrible story!
That must have been mortifying.

Wow, fascinating reading all your replies.

My boyfriend, although shorter than me, doesn't care that I'm taller.
He says I should wear heals if I want to!
... But I don't think I could wear them around them because I do feel bad about being taller, since society says men should date women who are shorter than them.
Lol I certainly couldn't wear them around his family!
His mother is like, 5'3" or so and so is one of his aunts and his sister in law isn't very tall either!
If I were to wear heals around his mother, she would only come up to my elbow!!
... Ok, not literally.
But you get what I mean.

I'm thinking now that I'll have to simply buy 3 shoes now lol.
Fun heals for when I'm out alone or with my tall sisters, maybe just my boyfriend.
Then flat boots (there's some ok looking ones at the shoe shop) for around my shorter companions.
Then sneakers... For a completely off topic reason. (my current sneakers are dead)

Er, ok. Well, most of the people here are only here to "perfect" their bodies to what they want so... I think it was a valid question. Trivial maybe, but hey it's conversation.

My ideal body... Very slender, minimal muscle but toned. Probably too skinny for those who like curves, but it's what I prefer.

Yip, Merylwhite1, you have it exactly right!
We'll just add each other as friends and we'll all start trying to post food logs in our journals every day so that everyone else can comment on them and give us encouragement.
It's a great way to get to know some of the members on here and make friends too.

Also if we list them our journal entries as "Food Dairy" like Meryl suggested, it'll make it easier too.

Sq71 - Hmm... yeah it is funny really.
It's like anything else though, I think, when you put your whole hopes onto reaching a certain number on the scales.
No one likes to be let down, so when we step on and find the number isn't there, we get upset, disappointed, disgruntled, etc etc etc.
We really should be easier on ourself though. :)
It's not like we can really control our bodies.
It's more like a guiding system.
Bodies are children, you can't control them, you just have to guide them and hope they listen to you lol.

I was so close!
I started binging mid-week this week.
Not surprising I gained over a pound considering how much fried potatoes i've been eating.
Not that crisps and fries are my only downfall.
Bread is too.
Man do you even think it's possible to lose 1.7 pounds in two days?

Cry ttotm soon too so my weight is probably going to rise for that too...

Bleh, I go walking this morning, or something.
And I'll be cutting out gluten and lactose for health reasons now so the lack of bread means I can't binge.
... Unless... I want to binge on apples or something but we don't have many apples anyway lol.

Vegetarian To:Vegetarians dating meat-eating omnivores... Mar 11 2009

Hmm well if they're just the big garden variaty of roaches you can just put them outside but if you got an infestation of those little ones with all their diseases... I think you would have to kill them (chemically).
And lice you could comb off with a nit comb, but they would die without having your head skin to eat so you might as well just do a chemical wash for them too, save them the misery of starving.

My boyfriend told me that there is a point where neglecting to look after yourself to protect others is stupid.
So I'm trying to remind myself of that.
For instance, I have no problem with ants wandering idly through my bedroom, bathroom or living room.
I don't even mind the occasional one on my bench.
But if they go into the pantry or they start swarming the bench, I have to defend my rightful space.
Like... I'm going to respect their ant hole thus they should respect my pantry and if they dont then they're going to be punished.
Not out of spite, I still wouldn't enjoy it!
Its just I need to protect my food and my own health.

Vegmatt, I agree with Folkharpist, it's completely just what YOU feel comfortable with.
I have to say, watch out for gelatine in the yogurt if you do decide to add it into your diet, but you probably already know to check for that.
