Hi Everyone...have been lurking the last couple days, cos work has been busy. Welcome HealthIsIn, frumious, amocatte Dalma, good luck witht he switching things up, hope it works out....nice dress!! Good luck with the boxing...I love when things get all fogged makes me feel like I'm really working out...like a sweaty tshirt...love when I can wring it out!! as gross as that sounds! Ana...gonna try out the cream cheese cereal thing, that sounds way interesting!! I often have mine with yogurt not milk...and like you said it maintains the crunch :) Amocatte, I also started at the 300 mark, good luck, you can totally do it...ease into things don't jump in too much and get burnt out or injured....and the knee thing...I have terrible ones I am actually going to see an orthopedist on Monday cos I reached a whole new level of pain in my knees....in hindsite I probably should not have waited so long...so just take things easy but obviously still getting in a decent workout....if you're joining a gym use the eliptical or crossramp over the treadmill its easier on the joints. Swimming is also a good thing, yoga... also as for time do what works for you, its not always easy to maintain a gym routine day in and out, for some it might get easier, but not for some so whatever time you find you can go and keep going. Watchme....glad to see things looking up!! Antiquitas....hope it all works out. Ally...I'd go for once a day on the scale...things fluctuate so much throughout the day, just pick one and stick with it! Been so good at the gym and in eating...and still no change :( but keeping at it! |

Good morning everyone. Not sure where I left off so will just jump in... Mladdy, I also switched things up at the gym, I stopped doing as much cardio as I used to and take a bootcamp class i the mornings Mon-Thurs, Tues I go back in the afternoon for spin, Fri I try go in the morning for cardio and sundays too. So far I lost 15lbs this last couple of weeks, but it was weight I had regained over the summer, the real test will be coming up in 10 lbs, my lowest ever was 215 and I just can't seen to get below it, but hoping this new change in routine will help me out, keeping my fingers crossed. Fallon, hope everything is ok! Akash...I read an article that said its a good thing to do to schedule gym time and things like that...so hoping that works for you :) for me I either have to go right before work or right after...its that time in between that always gets me! Iwill..."good intentions are fat" I like that...sooooo true!! Get back on to things sista! you don't want to be relosing any more weight! Dalma...I think I'm having the opposite problem...I'm so scared of eating these days, I don't always make it to my cals! Perhaps you need a few more cals when you're doing the weights! Also have mostly protein after working out they say thats what rebuilds the muscle...and fuels it. Also you shouldnt be starving between meals, you should have snacks....I keep nuts at work, and have a small handful for an 11am snack, and then 4ish I have a yogurt or fruit, so I'm not starving by the time meal time comes along, also I try not to drink at meal times, I drink between meal times so it keeps me full! Shapie....I also started going to the gym in the eary AM (not that early though, but I do get up at 4.30 2x's a week) and must say I'm enjoying it...though I could not get my sister there with me at that time if I paid her to be there. |

Akela...welcome back!! I'm so with you on the ending this year with a bang...and so far have been right in the swing of it...good luck! Dalma, cute outfit...and I'm a little scared of that too...the social thing, cos everytime I go out, even if I eat well I have this irrational fear that I cheated!! even when I didn't! Like the other I went out with friends for dinner....I had a salad, all veggies and topped with feta cheese and 1 salmon avo sushi roll, well within my cals and I was still silently freaking out that I'm cheating and the next day at the gym pushed myself like crazy....so I already have that now, not sure how I'm gonna manage maintenance. And not even going there with the clothed an unclothed...not that I look majorly fit in clothes...but I look normal! unclothed is unsightly already and I'm not even near finish yet! will continue later...have some problems to deal with at work |

Watchme...that is waaaay too many work hours!! Akela...beautiful pictures! Mladdy...I thought I was getting crazy with my twice a day gym visits this week...you're out of control!! :))) I don't know why I haven't been able to get into glee...I'm a cop show kind of gal...I can do law and order reruns all day! "Food with benefits" thats too funny!! Dalma, work your arms out...show them off, you totally deserve that, you put in the work! And about the accessories its totally funny you brought that up I hardly wore anything either except earings and I just bought myself 2 necklaces this week, and 2 rings too recently, and a bracelet, and am totally starting to add those to my otherwise really plain, no attention seeking outfits...my cousin who I work with just comented on the necklace I was wearing this morning, and asked whats up with all the jewels recently :) Congrats on the jacket....Im sure it was an out of body experience!! Ally, thanks...you know once I got into the schedule it became my schedule and its totally fine, I didn't think I could make the transition as easily as I did, but I did! I was even up this morning at 5.30 AM to go to the gym before work and there isnt even bootcamp on fridays!! I just want to keep up the schedule for the most part, cos I think the late-early-late will throw me off more than just the early-early-early...if you know what I mean. Good going on the 150's totally awesome! |

Thanks Ally, I am back in the groove...more or less...even started this crazy bootcamp situation in the mornings for the next 4 weeks, well so far I'm on day 2, we'll see if I can keep it up since 2 mornings a week its at 7:30 and 2 mornings at 6:30...meaning I have to get up at a completely ridiculous time of morning...or night!! but so far I hurt like hell. And your calves are amazingly beautiful!!! and you looked fantastic! I hope to go back to the gym for spinning after work too today, trying this whole new kill at the gym routine for a little (literally!!) cos I need to see some movement, I pretty much had none for a year, and that was with trying...so trying to pick up the intensity of it all. On another note my jaw is killing me...think its my wisdom teeth acting up :( |

Ally....welcome back! Isn't it amazing (or not so amazing) how easily it starts to come back on!!! Meester, I'm with Dalma, gotta have some patience... Katie....I still get lightheaded sometimes if I don't have enough sugar before working out, but it could be you dropped calories very drastically, and maybe not be eating enough, also the lack of caffeine could do that to you too...hang in there! Mladdy...thanks :) welcome back to you too! know a bunch of people that are zumba freaks too...haven't had the oppertunity to try out a class yet!! Dalma...a 10.....that is amazing!! used to be so neck in neck with you, very happy for you that you are totally ahead...not sure if I'm ever gonna catch up, my body is just so stubborn. Iwill...take the 1 lb and run with it :) Patsy...good job on the stairmaster...whenever I get on that thing its pure torture, I don't do it too often, only every once in a while, its amazing you can keep at it often. I am totally drowning in paperwork at work, not sure when I'll ever be caught up, but since I'm back have been ammmmmmmmmmmmazing!! totally patting myself on the back, I am back in the groove, eating great, working out hard and feel great!! back from vacation...see I missed tons in the last few weeks, will have to try anc catch up...wasn't good at all while I was away, but got straight back down to business this week when I got back, and so far feel greet...took an abs class at the gym last night...i actually have abs, i feel them this morning...who knew?? :) |

I am going away next week for 2 weeks, so have been soooo crazy busy at work this week totally had no time to check in, and sadly have slid so bad L For some reason I was so pumped I really thought this summer was gonna be kick ass instead I gained 20 lbs and am not quite dealing with it too well!! Trying to catch up but will see how far I get on that,….there is just too much to comment on! Welcome to everyone new. Maybe I’ll actually have time on vacation to check in, I hope this doesn’t cause too much of a dent, I couldn’t work out much this week too many hours at work, I’m looking forward to get back to the gym that is for sure. |

Dalma, totally agree anyone that is jealous of another family members hapiness or tries to ruin their happiness is completely out of their **** mind!! Why can't people just be happy for other peoples hapiness!! I kind of feel sorry for people like that some times...I think to myself "what happened in their life to make them crazy like that". I am keeping my fingers crossed, but I think I'm over my whole summer slump...I had an amazing spin class yesterday, my legs are deliciously stiff today!! And I don't know about anyone else but I'm happy that the biggest loser is back...love that show!! even though I was weeping from beginning to end...and it is a little unrealistic I still like watching that show...and I am so pumped I want to spend like 8 hours in the gym!! Too bad I have this thing called a job!!! |

Portland, as I was reading your post I thought to myself I used to get those too, and I have no idea how I got rid of them....so it made me laugh to read Dalma and Shapie say that too...good luck, I remember having to take breaks and keep slowing down my pace or reducing my incline till it eased up a little...and I could continue.... I started reading The Amazing Adventures of Dietgirl...so far its had me in tears!! |

Thanks Akela....missed everyone here too!! Good job on everyone and the August Challenge! Shapie, mine jumped up to 3 times the price when I switched jobs and therefore had to switch insurance, but its still less than without...I went from $10 a month to $35 a month. And on my insurance I can't get 3 months worth in advance, its 1 month at a time. Glad it's helping you though :) It helped me too...regulated my hormones, but came with too much crap...hoping I find the one that works for me....I'm on a mission now...since I kind of feel like I "wasted" the last 8 months, eventhough it wasnt really a waste cos I saw that I was more or less able to maintain, but I am nowhere near a weight that I should be maintaining!! Welcome back Ana :))) Good to see you again! Dalma, Akash...I totally get full from salad these days, I make sure to put in about 3 proteins usually....things like avo, kidney beans, chickpeas, tuna, boiled eggs, if I feel a little more, I have some crackers or something with it, or toast or something like that. Dalma, the one time I tried on a dress about 2 years ago...was a nightmare experience...think I may have said this before but when I went to look for something for my cousin and brothers wedding I took 3 dresses to try, I put on the first 1 and thought...this is so not happening I am just gonna look like a round ball....then the next...same thing....then the 3rd was really fitted style and I couldnt believe that it fit me so well...I'm still an 18 so not yet fitting into the everything around me stage and have lots of problem areas but it felt so good that something fit smoothly...and cameras suck!!! Also you seam to be on a real turbo charged train in the scale department...its amazing...I'd love to catch some sort of downward train in the near future! Iwill... :) yeah I totally need to drill that into my brain like every morning. And yes omg....totally embarrased sometimes even to myself...I lost 80 lbs and still have another 80 that is an entire other me!! a whole 5'5" person not even at ideal weight!!! Dalma...totally get that, when I got my new trainer, I told him I had lost 75 lbs he also kind of looked at me and was like..."yeah right, in your dreams perhaps" Akela, yeah I totally felt how you did for a while, and when you change the feeling in your brain you become more "hot" its really more confident which makes you wanna suck that tummy in, hold out that chest and hold your head high. Watchme....totally know that feeling about the layers...some days I even felt so open like I had lost weight and now people could see all my emotions...but that passed now too! Kathleen...good job, good luck in Ireland :)) Meester....such a difference!! amazing!! and I have that tummy roll and don't have no pregnancy excuses :))...way to go!! Think I'm caught up now :)) |

Dalma, I did care and have been working out and eating right and everything I needed to be doing....only got discouraged and fell off a little in the summer cos I didn't lose anything, and then I gained 15 lbs in a very short time...makes me wonder how much weight I would have gained on it if I wasn't being careful and working out so much...yikes!!! back to 300 and more in no time I'm sure. Also welcome to everyone new...I'm an oldie here was just MIA for a couple of weeks... |

Thanks Akash, yeah YAZ did that for me too...but the clear skin is hardly worth everything else!! but I am hoping to find something else! Dalma....I think I forgot what it's like to be normal!! People do not get it unless they have been there...the craziness is just so crazy!! I'd love the name or any other suggestions, I'm gonna try research as much before my appointment, if I was crazy and able to lose weight I'd handle it, but the working out hard, eating right and the slow starting to gain again and the crazy is just a little too much for me too handle.... NOTE TO SELF: stay active here or you will lose focus instead of lbs! |

Hi All....it's been a while...about 500 posts long and a couple or more lbs long :( I was really pumped to have a good summer...didn't exactly work out that way, was quite the opposite actually....anyway I'm back!! and hoping for some results, I stopped YAZ this month, I had had enough, will try others till I find the one that allows me to lose weight! Thanks Akela, so far today so good....I hope I can stay this way, usually weekends are not my strong points when it comes to watching what I eat, but there is always hope that this one will be great!! And everyone does react differently to BC, but I think I stuck this one out long enough and will have to look into changing things up. Dalma....yup thats me the freaking tap, everything and anything just makes me cry...I heard on the radio that the average women cries 16 months of their life, that is including as a baby...I was thinking what a joke....I practically cried since Novemeber...so totally throw of that study!! Is this what I am gonna be like if I ever get pregnant??? yikes!! Boots...good job on the getting up early...I was supposed to do that too today, but don't think the drinks I had a friends karaoke bday party last night helped my big plans for getting up early this week!! Akash....."Celery on the buffalo wings"...lol...but more practically stay away from anything deep fried i'd say! Thanks Elf/Dalma....so far I'm keeping it in mind...cos I do look really good in it and I haven't work a dress like that...EVER, I took it off the rack just to see how bad I'd look in it especially since its very fitted cos dresses usually just make me look like a big round ball.....I could not believe when I put it on how it was made for me and my not so regular shape! And eventhough I hope to only wear it twice and have it not fit ever again I was happy to spend the money on it! Ally.....me and icecream were total bossom buddies this week!!! Though if only it would stick to my bossom and not go straight down to my lower body...that would be nice, I can afford some extra padding there!! Hope it works out with the apartment :) |

Everyone here talks too much for me to ever catch up :) Elf, I think it is a form of yasmin, not sure about that though...all I do know is that its making me f(*^(*&%$ing crazy sometimes!! It is a good thing I am very much single at the moment cos I could totally turn a guy gay from some of my recent craziness compliments of Le Yaz!! Totally get you on the love/hate shopping thing!! Watchme, it helps me too balance out my hormones, but I'm kind of rethinking the need to balance out my hormones!!! cos yeah as good as I am nothing happens....well recently I have not been good its really taking a toll on my emotions! Kathleen...enjoy Dexter, I tried to get into it but couldn't...not sure why! Meester....totally my hero too!!! I keep trying to run more but yeah, I think I have managed 10 minutes tops but then the next time I tried that I thought I was gonna have a heart attack! Dalma...love that quote!!! it's so awesome! Totally think I'm sabotaging myself...cos I have a cousins wedding next week and my brothers wedding in a month and a half about and I bought a dress that fits me exactly can't lose too much and can't gain of course, and I don't want to get something else for my brothers wedding, so think I maybe doing this to myself...ugh!! ugggghhhh...had the worst week in I can't remember how long....ate whatever, didn't work out....but I think the very scary number on the scale shocked me back to reality this morning!! and there is so much to catch up on here....hope to get on a little later. hope everyone is having a good day/week.
Edit: Akela....can I join?? Starting off weigh today the very scary weight of 229...hopefully some of those will come off quickly!

Welcome back portland, and thanks, I am sticking here and hoping it works out. Elf, congrats on the job! Hope you find your mojo soon, I'm also a little in that situation, but trying to stay good with the workouts since I let the food slide a little. It so interesting you brought up that you carried those weights and thought about how you lost that...that happens to me too..I also lift things and think wow I used to have that attached to me...and cos its different consistency its hard to imagine! Iwill, I had the same boob/bra problem, I had such problems finding normal bras, cos I was like a 44A which yeah is impossible, everyone assumes I guess that if you're overweight you have big boobs too, but now I am a 40B, which is way more normal to find. Though I like padded, all mine are, makes me feel a little more in proportion. And thanks, I am sticking it out here, just taking a backseat instead of the drivers and hanging out in the maintenance lounge for a bit. Ally, thanks, I have at least been working out so I'm maintaining...not a weight I want to maintain, but its better than going up!! Boots....I hate cleaning too! who does like it?? Welcome Casseny, bluemolly and meester Shapie...take the compliments and run with them :) also if you have been working out, you could have rearanged things a little and even if the scale doesnt reflect it, your body could still have changed!! Welcome back Watchme....yeah I totally get you, totally would go for the ice cream or salty stuff every time I'm in a bad mood, definately an accomplishement when I don't. Sonini...welcome back, don't worry about catching up too much its totally overwhelming..just jump back on and in! kathleen i second dalma, I try getting up every once in a while to work out early....it's tough!! Dalma, It is adorable how he gets embarrased, and if you didn't care then work it out...love that lb for $ thing....think I'm gonna steel that idea from too!! |

I'm still sporting a LOT of soft muscle as my brother refers to it!! Thanks, Akash...for the reminder that it is a huge difference! Been a little bummed recently. Enjoy vaca!! sounds great. Dalma, haven't even tried VS yet...though their t-shirts fit me which was real wow moment...like I actually fit into something from there!! But have yet to venture to the underwear department. As for shopping...I always need clothes, and don't love shopping so when I do go it's never really just for pasttime entertainment, cos I'm always desperate for clothes, my closet is sorely lacking!! |

Dalma, he's really tall and always has been fit, but this really leaned him out...his trainer/teacher was in the IDF so is a bit of a psycho as my brother puts it...and really beats them up!! My start out skirt that I kept is a 26...so yeah quite the difference to my current 18, so I shed many happy tears and sometimes some sad ones too over that!! Cos I totally don't see it sometimes...when I'm feeling fat or down or discouraged...I just feel huge, and that just keeps it all real for me. |

Catch up time again for me... Thanks Dalma...201...thats an amzaing sounding number, you're awesome! Not even going into talking about hormonal rages and BC...cos it will just make me start crying....again...for no reason!! Sometimes I feel fitter not lighter...or like I can move easier to tie my shoe laces and little things like that or I can stand up and tie them :) thats even better!! I totally need a reminder of my 300 lb life also cos I get discouraged recently cos nothing is moving...so I have 1 skirt that I saved that I sometimes slip into just to remind myself that look how I look, and look how I was and do not under any circumstances want to go back there. My brother does Krav Maga and has really thinned out (not that he needed to) and someone else I know has been doing Taekwondo and he also thinned out so much, he cut down on the weight lifting a little...and looks amazing.. Akash, congrats...that is a huge level down!! And nice sticky!! :) you are hot! Welcome dda Dancing....I wouldn't advise weighing yourself so many times a day :) it definately can make you crazy! Welcome back Akela and Ally. Boots...8lbs??? thats freaking awesome. Good luck with the new house mate! I didn't catch more to love and forgot to DVR it just to see what its all about...but I didn't hear such great things about it on the radio this morning... Elf, I'm exactly the same with my mom...but still call her every week just for a few minutes to say Hi, but sometimes all she asks me is if "I'm still on diet and going to the gym" and I must say it pisses me off sometimes. Iwill...that's a very cool insentive idea!! I'm liking that!! Evethough I'm not into HP at all and haven't tried Twillight yet, but just cos I haven't had time...but maybe something else..and hugs about the plaeau I am so there for the last 8 months never mind 5 weeks!! Ok I see I need to catch up, wasn't around much this week, wasn't even lurking....missed soooo much welcome back topeze :) welcome nationalguard. Akela, glad to see you're feeling better... Akash/Iwill/Dalma...I was wondering the same thing...isn't summer supposed to be easier?? I just can't catch a break, was 219 last week, now this week back to 223!! of course the bridal shower I had to go to on sunday didn't help that situation...I ate pasta for the first time in 2 years :( its as develish as ever!! I also have an aversion to public restrooms...also I won't shower at the gym, anyway I have to take the subway for an hour home afterwords and I always feel like I need a shower after the subway in general, so I just run out the gym as is all sweaty and go home to shower... So yeah pretty much going to the nutritionist was a waste of time, she suggested though maybe I'm not eating enough and I should try for 1500-1800 cals a day and see if that helps. On a good note I am under 220 again, was 219.8 this morning, so maybe maybe holding my breath keeping my fingers crossed the weight loss gods finally remembered me!! Ally....whine away...that totally sucks about your scale!! But I'd say get another one sooner rather than later too, even though sometimes life without a scale isn't the end of the world! Ash..(((hugs))) enjoy the beach, at least you get to go away for a bit! Total accomplishement in my books if you don't binge on an emotional filled day!! Iwill, rock out the shorts....unfortunately shorts are not happening for me this summer, my legs are not remotely short ready or anything, and I don't think you have to have perfect legs to wear shorts, but I have really bad circulation in my thighs and they aint a pretty site at the moment, we'll see if that ever changes!! Sometimes those documentries totally help you out with the click moment, I remember before I started 2 years ago, tipping the scale at 300 lbs, I remember watching one on TLC called I eat 33000 cals a day, and I considered myself heavy but not like that, but as I started watching I related to some of the things they were saying and I literally got off my bed, put on my sneakers and went fot a walk...a walk that took me an hour that I can now do in 20-30 minutes!! |
