History: I guess I've always been bigger. I remember my struggles really starting in 5th grade. We found out I had insulin resistence (pre diabetes) So after that my mom always had me on all these different diets, which she would be on also. I never stuck to anything. Now I am to that point that I want to stick with it, & i see a big change this time. Im still just pre diabetic, my dr said there is no reason I should have diabetes, so thats good. A few months ago I found out I have PCOS, but there is nothing extremely bad to worry about.

And, I am a vegetarian. Have been for 2 weeks strong..Laughing

 

Stats:

  • 18 years old
  • 5'5
  • 242.2lbs (about 15 down from my highest)

Goals: i'll post more later, I cant think of them all right now lol.

  • Lose 30 lbs by July 31 (my birthday)
  • Stay on my workout schedule
  • Get my 5 a day at least. (I'm in a challenge for that now )
  • Stay on my vegetarian diet
  • Measure my servings...
  • Focus on becoming stronger so I can do more active things. Like hiking places & not getting out of breath. Learning to salsa dance...etc

I had 2 apples. 1/2 cup of green beans. & 1 pita, w/ a veggie burger in it. I measured out my servings of veggies in the pita which equaled to be 3 servings, with the lettuce and other veggies. Laughing

Hi I would love to join this challenge if its alright :) Im gonna aim for 5 a day. So i'll just count starting tomorrow and make my goal totalling 80 this month. This challenge is a great idea and perfect for me right now. I decided to stop eating meat for a while and i've been vegetarian for 5 days and counting. Good luck to everyone

my mom and I joined a new gym this week. We were going to OZ Fitness (recently 24 hour fitness) now were going to superior. I liked Oz just fine but superior has a womens room in it so I am a lot more motivated now. It better be showing on the scale next week. This week i lost about 2 lbs.

Lol. AJ that wasn't really my biggest concern of why I got on the pill surprisingly. If my body was working correcttly I wouldn't need the pill. :) anyway, thanks everyone for your answers, so far I think that this pill is working out good for me.

Thanks. That would make sense. I was just didn't want to be eating healthy and excersising and then to gain weight for some freak reason. I have high cravings as it is so it probably wont be anything new.

Gew- Thanks it makes me feel a whole lot better, since I just started the pill. But I guess on the sheet that warns disadvantages of the pill it doesn't say weight gain.

lol. i cant even begin to talk about some of the crazy things i have thought! my cousin has some horrible eating habits, i think she got up to like 600lbs? she had that surgery that they tie your stomach or whatever, well thats a whole other story lol. she says since its fat free ice cream that means i can double the amount i normally eat. : )

Hey everyone! great ideas. The burn 1,000 calories idea sounds great too me! Im so loving my mom right now lol. She got me some really useful items for christmas. A set of different lb weights, and excersise ball, a pedometer and a scale. I am so happy about this lol! well hope everyone is doing well!!!

thanks guys. I was actually needing a few meal ideas like milfred listed which are great ideas btw. im not really dirt poor, lol. well im not poor i guess my family is just middle class. But right now my mom isnt sticking to an eating plan and its just me. She will buy me food and help me but she has to pay the house of right now so im trying to buy some of my own food with my crappy seasonal part time job! lol. And i owe her money for my car lol. I feel bad mooching of my parents, i need to learn to depend on myself a little. Ill be 18 in july. idk what that has to do with the subject but thanks again. :)
