Wow - and here I thought I was the only one experiencing this!! I am so trying to deal with that aspect of calorie counting!! But a little story?? In June I started being more social (after turning down night outs/dinner/drinks for about 2 months) and it was sooo hard!! I mean it would start out by me thinking about eating healthy and looking for healthy alternatives - but then time for cocktails?? And well I LOVE mixed drinks - you know the 'girlie ones' with all the fruit and whipped cream?? Yummy a drink and a dessert?? And just like tattooed kitty I am such a social animal - and whats more fun than eating and spending time with friends?? Tattooed you hit the nail on the head when you said we have to retrain ourselves - and it's really difficult to say no - but like durgy said - it's our body - and we need to remember that - I need to remember that - because no matter how great my friends & family are - they didn't feel the disappointment I felt this past Thursday when I stepped on the scale and saw that I GAINED... So until we all can find that happy medium -of fun, food & fellowship - KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK!! |

Hey kids - interesting question - I know my ankles are huge!! But never measured them - you guys are so tiny!! Weird I measured my - my left side came in at 11 3/4 inches and my right was 12 1/2 inches - TERRIBLE - funny thing is they used to be even bigger!!! I laugh as I am always staring at my ankles in wonder at the little things...but looks like I'm winning the biggest 'cankle' contest - only thing - I can see my ankle bones....hmmm what does that mean!! Take care!! ~Bea~ |

OMG - I think I know what you mean - its VERY tough to "be good" especially when your family & friends are not in on your healthy food choices. I've noticed too that when I am with my family or friends I over eat as well - face it most of us are social eaters...lol I've only recently changed my eating habits - but everyday I talk about the changes in my food choices to EVERYONE - and for the most part everyone's been supportive. So let your friends know what your doing and like "sroscoe' suggested - try cooking with your friend - take control!! And once again - We're here to help!!! PEACE - Bea |

If you're ever feeling discouraged - well remember - we're here!! Take care and good luck!! Bea |
