I am so sorry to hear of the gym incident...hope you are well. Everyone has posted sound and valuable advice. Being a survivor I empathize... This man was as wrong as wrong can be! Giving him the benefit of the doubt...accidents happen, stupidity happens. He could have and should have requested any female’s assistance even from a nearby lady member – explain his situation and I cannot imagine a lady refusing to take his girls their personal effects. --Although, I have to state- I put my husband in awkward positions –he would not violate a lady’s facility I have a life long medical issue (only 3-4 years diagnosed) where I can choke and have accompanying issues out of the blue. I am almost homebound except for occasional outings; months go by without leaving home for a “breath of fresh air, change of scenery”–a restaurant/2 on a good week and sometimes SHOPPING. Since moving 7years ago my husband and I mainly keep to ourselves -we visit nearby family though the majority of our relatives are in other states. We were socializing at first but now are not. As the years roll on (21yrs together) my condition deteriorates he has seen the evolution from rare occasions till present, it is the worse it has ever been * try counting calories. I am embarrassed in social situations, it is difficult for others to understand and yes scared, in one of my worse incidents I wanted out of the car –choking I could not recover, and I felt as if I was suffocating (the window / air conditioner did not help) with an hour till home my husband talked to me trying to relax me while I was sick, we were on the turnpike and it was too dangerous to pullover, he got me home. With the brief history as I have stated my husband accompanies me everywhere! He is afraid to leave me alone except at home while he does the grocery shopping. He is with me at my regular Dr. office because it has become too difficult to communicate and sometimes people are short with me and if I need assistance I am not alone, for water or anything he is there. He is with me until the Dr. arrives though sometimes he stays if I ask. I have an app. this week with gyn Dr. she requests that hubby stay in the car (we understand-my husband used to sit in the waiting room however it was uncomfortable for Dr’s. clients) the office manager always ends up speaking to him in the parking lot for any medical info plus I write out a lot of responses. I told him this time to drop me off, go to breakfast but he said he will wait- he would not relax unless he knew I was alright –after tonight’s episode, yet again it emphasizes my need for him. Shopping, as I said we no longer socialize and with family out of state, shopping is an event for myself alone and I cannot do that any longer sooooo my husband is left tagging along with me sitting outside of the dressing room-getting the looks and yes being questioned and if there is an emergency –making explanations and apologies. Difficult situation but he never is far from me. Again, he never would enter a ladies room though he has been known to knock at the entrance calling to me and even sending in a woman but that is in an emergency. He would not enter simply for an errand. I know I rambled and got off point a little-where I was headed was to explain that not every odd appearing instance is a danger... Take care, stay safe keep doing your best and above all be happy

I have had Psoriasis almost as long as I can remember. on / off Eczema and Rosacea Usually I use Cetaphil they have a liquid, bar and antibacterial. Galderma Labs -it was created by dermatologists for a gentle, non-irritating clean : all skin types. Using much else can exacerbate the condition-no more facials:( I started using the liquid in the 1980's always have it on hand-even without water comes in handy This product used to be impossible to find only Drug Barn in SF, mid-1980's and now even Sam's Club sometimes carries it but usually have to request a reorder:( -OHIO. Walgreens has it, they even carry the lotion. Check prices it can vary. I use Dove to change off and I have the occasional "Specialty Bars" by Lather,my favorite :oatmeal and lavender olive oil soap is available in the holiday sampler http://www.qvc.com/qic/qvcapp.aspx/view.2/app .multi/params.file.%7Casp%7CQuickCompareRedir ect,asp |

Approximately 20yrs.ago I had to give up coffee, soda, almost tea and CHOCOLATE.... I had serious pains when I consumed certain things coffee was a big problem since I have been enjoying it on / off since 5 yrs old (41) Black, cream or milk, specialty coffees Espresso, Cappuccino you name it but my fave the old cuppa joe. 5 cups a day was a slow day +/- Lately I am dying for a cup and my husband’s empty calls to me! thank heavens it is usually empty because I am so tempted for “just a sip” I started dating my husband around this time and he made my coffee black with honey –so good! When I started having pain I thought the honey-maybe allergy The pain was indescribable, then the soda & CHOCOLATE (life’s blood). I cut down or added milk to everything as in (you are probably too young to know) Lavern & Shirley sitcom-Milk and Pepsi was Laverne's favorite drink. The milk helped some and my boyfriend insisted I probably had an ulcer insisted I go see the dr. and being dr phobic I rejected that idea, dr and ulcer theory. Occasionally I reconsidered (yes/no daily), 6 months of bleeding –at work I felt faint and was told I looked "real pale" and was released from work! I once had food poisoning, for 3 days I worked before they let me go for the remainder of the week but this time-told to go to the doctor I began to seriously consider going because now I am really scared not just worried. Now to get an appointment-headache I won’t go into the long bs history however I knew I could not expect anything from K in 4 yrs I never had my Primary and everytime I had an appointment with a regular dr for specific issues they would cancel sometimes as I even sat waiting, end up paying out of pocket & seeing my boyfriends dr or clinics! emergency appointments (severe asthma attack took a week to get them to allow me to check into emergency 4pm Fri saw them around 5am Saturday had 3 shots and pills sent home. Yes, it took a week to see me for that, it took longer to check in than the nurse took time to administer the medication *never saw the dr-fine by me. Straight from work I went to the hospital, saw the intern in emergency he looked around and said I don’t see anything-well good but what of the symptoms –could not say, well ok. He needs more information, understandable –suggested I see my Primary, I still didn’t have one K never assigned me one and they said that they had to assign me one. Take laxatives and Rolaids –give me a break.( I never followed the advice) * I no longer have K I went home relieved and upset. I figured I don’t know why but I know what and started eliminating everything after months of removing everything slowly adding items back one at a time and finding that soda/carbonated beverages and certain types of tea and most definitely coffee –chocolate is safe YEAH The doctors never found out my problem, not an ulcer, no visible problem. The bleeding stopped almost immediately, the pain was only if I ate or drank certain products. I eliminated them for good... 5 years ago I had an emergency trip that I was not going to fuss with tea on the plane, no alcohol, and juice can be a problem-I decided to carefully test out 1 cup of coffee –cream and sip slowly and test. I was fine after we landed 5hrs-that was it 4 days of indulging. The week of my trip dr did a panel lab tests my Triglycerides were fine on my return –still ODing on coffee, doing fine, within 2 weeks of my 1st tests- 2nd panel of tests done, the Triglycerides were off the chart and the doctor was asking what did I do I told him my history and he didn’t think that could have been it.6 months later-coffee eliminated everything else the same new test resulted in good levels –no coffee since except....about 6 months ago I stole a cup-so good, no problem but I no longer get my lab done so who knows. Caffinated or Decaf makes no difference, nor the quality/brand- off limits! I have family history both sides heart attack, stroke & aneurysms so Triglycerides need to be in check-my brother experienced similar results with Triglycerides and he saw what eliminating coffee did for him but he won’t quit though he has reduced it to 3 cups a day & substitutes w/ tea.His Triglcrides are elevated but better than before I tried some editing, wow is this long |

| Weight Loss | Defensive vomiting? | Nov 05 2009 04:43 (UTC) |
|
http://www.righthealth.com/topic/Vocal_Cord_D ysfunction/overview/wiki_detailed?modp=%20Voc al%20cord%20dysfunction I have Vocal Cord dysfunction & Hyper Sensitive Larynx (not a well know condition it has been around for a very long time known by different names. Since being diagnosed I went from hardly finding any information to finding a lot) I am almost always vomiting or feeling like I need to, I often feel as if I have something in my throat. Most of the time I just lose my voice or it is shaky whispery-loud, no control. I can go awhile fine and suddenly without warning choke and vomit because without realizing it I can't catch my breath. Food / Drink are not required to experience this phenomenon. My condition has become worse with age regardless of weight - health. Eating has become more tricky-steak today is fine but tomorrow I cannot even handle a small lettuce salad! consisting of ...just lettuce. Steam from tea, ice cream -too hot, too cold, too spicy etc., you name it anything at anytime can trigger this...no more pancakes EVERYTIME and then the chest pains. Scents trigger-Scent Free can trigger no more salon 3yrs and counting, rarely leave the house anymore. Cigarettes, perfume, grass cutting, wind etc. Perhaps what you call "defensive vomiting" is in a small way a true statement. I best describe the condition like the Venus flytrap: insect irritates and the plant snaps shut-like the vocal cords do. As for regurgitating, it becomes a vicious cycle and I call it the domino effect-line-up the dominoes and tip- one throw up leads to many I sometimes wake up if I am lucky enough to sleep (born insomniac)– choking, vomiting unable to regulate my breathing etc...hoping to resume sleep. It took YEARS to be properly diagnosed, Otolaryngologist Cleveland Clinic approximately 3-4 yrs ago -my whole life I have lived with this and the only person to believe there was something "real" was my husband I am 41 -my husband has seen the gradual “minor” changes from something to is she going to survive scary minutes and occasionally hours and weeks where eating is a betting event Will she or wont she can she.... I am not saying this is what you have but something to consider, they put a camera up the nasal passage down the throat and exposed me to 3 different scents watching the vocal cords on camera live my husband could see the reactions- My Primary doctor has seen me for 7 years, especially during this time I have gone from moderate to some of my worst times-he isn’t a witness except for the odd or nonexistent voice occasional small vomit, he still seems dubious and recently his office staff are being a little cool sometimes downright rude when I or my husband request the door to remain open while I wait for the Dr.(with explanations) 30minutes not unusual to wait, he is very busy but the cleaning material stinks even through the mask,(for a year I have been wearing a mask,) fanning myself for air circulation and wearing a Personal Ionic Air Purifier. However during my appointment the door is shut. Losing ones voice requires you to practice charades Sorry for the lengthy post |

The issue is you are on the verge of adult-hood and the child has years to go if you both care enough for more than a one off then wait a few years because it will be worth it. Alcohol creates problems; existing problems are made worse and are waiting for you when you sober up-best to learn now and not start, if you must indulge wait until you are of age, drink responsibly –moderation and no driving 2 years age difference is not the issue ...I met my husband at 20 not knowing he was 50 ---he still does not look his age but the dr. says the bones don’t lie! After 21 years together I can say he is the best decision I ever made! I saw him while I was at my new job –looked up from what I was doing ( he was a longtime customer browsing ) and my heart jumped somersaulted and stopped...my friend thought I was being funny when I started asking the who’s and what’s and no answers forth coming from Connie then others chimed in with absolute misinformation!!! The woman he had an “affair” with was his sister, the reason he wasn’t at work-not a bum without a job...he worked swing and graveyard shift, overtime, all the time-giving him the morning off! I still did not know his name or even speak to him before I said I think he is it June 25 88-I saw him, talked to him a couple times about nothing July 25 88 first date married July 25 92 - could not ask for more! Intelligent, good humor, patient, supportive, loving, greatest cook ever (reason I gained weight), he sews, gardens, fixes almost anything, tries and succeeds at building-almost done with the basement. He did everything himself except for the stairs he hired a master craftsman. Now that he is retired we spend nearly 16hours a day (or more) together, talk or not just happy to be together most people can’t say that and still have a good relationship If nothing comes of this relationship, 16yr.old and you then move on, no regrets, lesson learned-Good luck |

Look for jams, jellies or preserves with Splenda, I find they are usually around 10 calories. I use them to flavor plain yogurt, oatmeal, use with Neufchatel Cheese 28grams=70 cal (14grams=35 cal). I have Ghossains large whole wheat flat bread 1 sheet=28 calories, cut it down to 7 calories sometimes 14 smear that with the cheese and jam.It takes the edge off. Not all flat breads rate the same, size and brand may change the calories-Ghossains small fb has more calories. Check labels. http://caloriecount.about.com/calories-neufch atel-cheese-i126451 Delicious Occasional Dessert Options http://www.phillyswirl.com/products/products. cfm 7 products, calories range 14 w/Splenda, 48, 57, 68, 88, 93, 160 w/sugar * 1 product clearly cautions safety for peanut/tree nut allergy. Excellent Treat Substitute: Look for the Sugar-free syrups, made with Splenda Everything 0 -NON –ALCOHOLIC SYRUPS Da Vinci syrups from Seattle. http://www.davincigourmet.com/ * Torani Syrups, from South San Francisco, Ca. http://www.torani.com/ Those made with Splenda are difficult to find locally at least in my area of Ohio- I love Ohio though I miss the Bay. Locally -everything you could ever want. Order this online-12 by the case, mix any flavors. Estimate $ 83.40 + 11.95 + tax?= reasonable/expensive but a little goes along way *at least for me...buy what I can’t here, buy what I want and need Sugar Free / Splenda! The long and short of it-it is cheaper than purchasing locally if luckily enough I find it. The only grocer locally to carry the Torani, no one has Da Vinci since Sam’s Club stopped carrying it; infrequently carries the product, always in smaller bottles with sugar and charges more with less variety. >locally purchased bottle of Torani Irish Cream 2tbls = 1 fl.oz 100 cal.,23 grams carbs & 23 grams sugar, sodium 0 375ml=12.7fl.oz for $7 versus Irish Cream 2 tbs =1 fl oz ** Sugar Free made with Splenda 0 cal., 0 grams carbs & 0 grams sugar, sodium 15 mg Order Online from Torani: the company website cost break down is : 750ml=25.4fl oz for $7.95 each 3-Pack (3 x 750 ml bottle) $7.35 per bottle - SAVE $1.80 $22.05 12-Pack (12 x 750 ml bottle) $6.95 per bottle - SAVE $12.00 $83.40 I enjoy hot water, 1/2 oz. Torani Irish Cream w/Splenda, Land O Lakes half & half 2 tbls.=40 cal, add 1 scoop of Coco Pure =10cal. For added body you can try, though I haven’t, top with cool whip regular 20 cal, 0 sodium,0 cholesterol; 1 sugar, 2 carbs, 1.5 fat Coco Pure http://www.newvitality.com/shop/coco-pure.asp x Coco Pure was a gift and I use it as a chocolate replacement treat. NO SUGAR sweetened with-Xylitol, Stevia. Pure Cocoa powder, Green Tea extract, Oat Beta Glucan, Resveratrol, Quercetin The company recommends a daily amount for health reasons. I don’t-for me-cost prohibitive. 1-2 scoops a week is satisfying this chocoholic-ok, I would love more though I have will power....sometimes. When I married three people gave gifts related to the Hippo-In Case Of Emergency- Administer Chocolate, these people did not know each other, but they knew me !!! for my husband’s sake....administer chocolate YES, I am a chocolate addict! I am happiest when eating chocolate and now I am down less than a whole bar a month if that!! Happy but...miss chocolate Months go by. I have chocolate in my veins, I bleed chocolate-used to I cannot drink coffee – triglycerides spike,no soda but I have substitutes for soda 30 plus years ( when I can find it )Torani, I usually do not drink alcohol-maybe once or twice a year so the Torani SF Irish Cream is wonderfulmmmmm. hope this helps...sorry for the looong post, yes, I edited

http://www.phillyswirl.com/products/products. cfm We really enjoy the sugar free (Splenda) Philly Swirl. The flavors are orange, cherry and raspberry swirled in a vanilla cream reminiscent of the orange sherbet and vanilla ice cream combo I so love. 14 calories and it satisfies without the guilt...even if you are occasionally caught with your hand in the freezer,2nd helping anyone They clearly mark for dairy, gluten and nut allergies. I hope they make more products with Splenda –the chocolate items are tempting. |

Thank you Thank you for sharing... I have been looking for something tasty & reasonable (health wise) such as Kernel Seasons for 20+ years I usually go without, sometimes go plain, sprinkle Splenda brown sugar or ruin a good batch by improvising the seasonings that I never get right. The sodium is fantastic 0-80mg depending on the flavor (skip the popcorn salt 470mg) Gluten Free! WARNING: FOOD ALLERGENS http://www.kernelseasons.com/i/pdf/KS_Nutriti onal_Facts_and_Allergy_Information.pdf Milk/dairy and soy are listed; however, Chocolate Marshmallow, Apple Cinnamon, Kettle Corn and popcorn salt are listed safe. Sulfites list under Caramel flavoring. I have to try Kettle corn, too bad my husband can no longer eat popcorn he would love this! I have to go shopping... |

YODERS Fat Free 24oz./680grams 1/2 cup/113grams= 80 calories total fat:0 sat fat:0 trans fat:0 cholesterol:5 - 2% sodium:420 - 18% carbs:6 - 2% dietary fiber:0 sugars:4 protein:14 vitamin A 4%, calcium 10%, vitamin C 2%, iron 0 distributors * I&K Distributors-Delphos,Ohio 45833. 1-800-877-1157 I have enjoyed this Cottage Cheese for seven years, I can hardly remember "real" cottage cheese but this satisfies. Small curd...I prefer small curd while my husband prefers large curd and I think this cottage cheese is a mix of both though leaning more towards large. Watery at first though not dissimilar to how yogurt appears when opened,it is just enough to either pour out or stir in -minimal amount. This cottage cheese is not in your face salty, it is just right. I am not aware of any sour taste. The only real difference is the creaminess -think plain potato versus potato with butter, sour cream and chives-both good, though you get used to plain. If you must have more creamy goodness, try zipping a portion in the food processor/blender and adding additional spoonfuls of the curds. However my family is satisfied with YODER's Cottage Cheese and actually every product we have so far tried. I hope this helps - enjoy |

Burden, my husband and I have always requested no added salt...once we went to the Outback and his baked potato and steak were drenched -you could see the crystals, the server saw it and apologized, expected my husband would accepted the meal and apology and leave well enough alone-NOT! We tasted the steak and aside from too much salt for health reasons, the steak was ruined (bitter).Skipped dinner, had to wait patiently for our companions. We request no seeds of any kind, nuts or course pepper, diverticulosis. Soy, thyroid. Etc. Allergies or other health concerns makes eating out difficult, we splurge occasionally, however, there is something we cannot take a chance on...our health and sometimes the restaurants and/or employees and even our companions do not seem to understand. Dietary concerns are always set aside, though not by us-we enjoy small cheats though we know our bodies will pay us back and /or the doctor will. We are polite in explaining our needs or concerns, though we are told we are making too much of it, order- eat- enjoy- pay.We seldom eat out, let alone frequent establishments that have let us down, usually due to hygiene, explain our concerns to the manager-no repeat visits. We have both enjoyed <(sarcastic) food poisoning,11 years before my husband ate apple pie again, he still does not eat Kale as for my self...5 years before I could stand the smell let alone eat pizza.Genuine food poisoning from improper food handling why would I accept a meal where I cannot order food prepared as I need-dressing on the side, no cheese no added salt or unsweetened tea etc.seems an easy way to please the customers as long as everything else is maintaining what is the problem. You are paying and tipping for good service. Order how you want - eat what you want- enjoy you deserve it- pay |

http://www.waldenfarms.com/So far, these are ones I have tried and like. Creamy Bleu Cheese, although on the thin side, is a good substitute for mayo. Honey Dijon Balsamic Vinaigrette -current fav. I either use something from Waldenfarms (so far so good). I also enjoy plain salads, delicious and sometimes what the system craves. Also, before I found Waldensfarms I had been experimenting with yellow mustard, white vinegar, paprika, white pepper in varying amounts and adding other ingredients with some success.

| Baby News... We brought home a new sister for Puffy and Callie *twins (They look alot-a-like and share possessive personalities) Princess Ariadne Hope Sarita Age 2 yrs 6 months -1 ½ years in “group home” prior to that an apartment with 3 boys and an assortment of cats/kittens. Puffy and Callie welcomed Addie immediately but she was (understandably) scared and defensive...more offensive. Attack cat... Puffy is still trying though when she hands him his head he walks away "crying”, mostly just leaves her alone hides in a closet till fish time. Callie has had enough and now is instigating much of it. If Addie shows any improvement, Callie shuts her down. Callie also goes looking for sis if Addie has been quiet too long.My husband said Sunday morning; Addie behaved and started to interact properly with Puffy for app.10min, a milestone. Puffy made a playful sound - Callie “Calvary” came running, stood between the two. Addie ran for the hills (under-bed). Callie is constantly putting Addie’s toy bunny in the water dish.Separate feedings...we tried 3x together (line them up, separate dishes), Girls Gone Wild, WW3. (Addie initiated) I gave in, fed Addie under the bed and within 3 days had her in the hallway.Everything must be quite, or else. I try everyday in the “dining room” but she “says” no way. My niece says to “show” them whose boss... I said, I do...My sister-in-law says they already know that they are...LOL> TRUE Addie has finally stopped the non-stop growling hissing spitting and biting-now to stop the swiping...she goes for the eyes. She understands now, boxes are shared and water dishes are shared. I am working on everything else. Windows, beds...etc. once she claims it... sigh- I will say there has been progress since 8/17. However, there is plenty of room for improvement. The foster mom said Addie “got along well with cats & kittens”; ours were on their best behavior minute one... obviously, she was scared but ... She does not like to be touched; we are working on that and being held. She likes to sleep near us on an oversized ottoman, it is for everyone but we had bought it especially for Snowpea, when she couldn’t get to the bed. Good news, Addie likes trying news tastes bad news is she likes trying new tastes! My HOT tea was the first clue...glad it had gone cold before she had the opportunity...SHE LIKES IT, etc. We have plenty of time for working things out. Bad news is you cannot separate the babies while away, unfair to all of them,we worry what may occur and hope for the best.As I ventured out, first time in almost 3 weeks, leaving them HOME ALONE! My husband and I bandied the possibilities. When we arrived home, I asked Puffy did the girls behave?...no answer :) I asked Callie did you and Addie behave...no answer :) I asked Addie did you and Callie behave...no answer :) I told my husband...at least they got their stories straight-already in cahoots, best friends in no time at all. Sweetest BabiesIf anyone has any idea, may bond them sooner rather than later, I welcome suggestions. Addie quarantined 2 days; I tried feeding together after 3 days home, I have tried baby (cat) nip. Played string together 2 x the 3 did ok 15min...the next day they could not stand to be in the same room together (P & C vs A) 1x only Puffy and Addie, Callie looked on disapprovingly and ended the fun 20min. ...Condolences to those who share the loss Remember : Free Click, 1x a day & help others http://www.theanimalrescuesite.com
