| Weight Loss | What do you eat every day that effectively helps you lose weight? Help for those who don't know how to eat to lose the weight! | Oct 12 2008 17:28 (UTC) |

I don't count calories at all due to an eating disorder, but here are 2 breakfasts I eat on a daily basis. Every morning I have either oatmeal (made with 1/2 cup quick oats cooked in 1 cup water. Before cooking I add splenda, cinnamon and soemmetimes nutmeg. I also add whatever fruit (usually banana, strawberries or blueberries) and about a teaspoon of natural peanut butter (I never get enough fat in :/) and then cook for a couple of minutes. When it comes out of the microwave I stir in yogurt and sometimes reheat if its too cold.) ...or I have a high fiber low carb whole wheat wrap with egg whites. I cook egg whites, mushrooms, deli turkey or ham and sometimes green pepper and then wrap them in a wrap with a very small amount of cheese.

| I either immediately portion it out into ziplock baggies or just don't buy it. I can eat cereal constantly all day long, and alot of the time I have enough self control to not. But the weeks I cant, I just dont buy it. | |||

the cone should have 3 swirls; if it does it is truly 150 calories. Sometimes they make it bigger however, so if it has more than 3 swirls it is mor.e But you can always knock some off or, as I do, have the hubby take a big bite :D |

First of all I always stick with low calorie hard liquor such as vodka or rum and mix it with diet drinks. I usually stay home and drink, so these tips are pretty much only relevent for that. (safer than drinking/driving anyway :) ) I buy this amazing daquari/margerita mixer called Baja Bob's. Its sugar free mix so its zero calories and still tatstes amazing. that way you can mix margeritas with the rest of your friends or drink it on the rocks and still have something pretty and fun and tasty. I have issues controlling mindless eating when i drink as well. One of my solution are the 100 calorie packs of kettle corn. Its salty, sweet, and one bag is a very big portion. make sure to eat it one piece at a time and you can munch and munch :) |

Thanks for posting this. I am working SO HARD to work out and eat right in order to be healthy for my body type. Ill never look like a model, and though I am slim, (5'4" 115-118 lbs) I am not built stick skinny. I have curves, hips and thighs and butt. Out society is celebrity and size 0 obsessed and its hard. Im trying to focus on toning and treating my body like the temple God intended it to be and not care so much about the number on the scale. Thanks fr the reminder. |

Stick to vodka or rum mixed with a diet pop. There is also a daquari/margerita mix called Baja Bob's. Its sugar free, 0 calories and delicious. Buy some of it from a health food store and you can mix drinks with the rest of the gals. and HAVE FUN. Its okay to splurge once in awhile. Life is too short to not :) |

Yes, avoid Blizzards, but Dairy queen has alot of other good things that arent too bad, especially if its a once in awhile treat.
Their soft serve cones are 150-200 calories for a child/small and even dipped they are 240-300. |

| Weight Loss | What do you do to avoid the late night snacking urges??? | Sep 11 2007 04:54 (UTC) |

| Foods | What do you use for salad dressing? | Sep 09 2007 04:48 (UTC) |

Kraft fat free italian dressing is only 15 calories for two tablespoons! However, it does have high fructose corn syrup, but its so low calorie that I still use it. |

| I buy bags of plain puffed wheat; its only 60 calories for a whole cup.
I adore cereal too, dry, with milk, I could eat it non stop 24 hours a day. Solution? DONT buy it! Just dont. You know you cannot control yourself with it, so keep it out of the house. What I do if I do ever buy a box of cereal, (I just love Special K red berry, fruit n yogurt, and the chocolate kind, so I occasionally indulge) Take zip lock bags, look at the serving size, and portion it out. For instance, Special K has, I think, 120 calories in one cup. Take a one cup measuring cup, scoop out one cup of cereal and seal it in the ziplock bag. This helps me. Good luck fellow cereal lover! |

| you are at a pretty healthy weight for your height, so maybe pay attention to the type of calories you are eating. Even low calorie sweets/candy/cookies/ect can hinder weight loss if you dont have too much weight to lose. Maybe cut back on carbs just a bit, or sugar. Good luck. | |||
| Weight Loss | Taking days off? | Aug 07 2007 16:34 (UTC) |

| This isnt related to working out, but one day a week I do take a day off from calorie counting. Not because I want to, but because I spend the day with my mom/neice and nephew and she really frowns upon any sort of dieting. I in NO WAY overeat or eat a ton of candy or anything, but I dont keep track. I find that its good for the soul in the long run. | |||
