| Weight Loss | A Tale of Two McFlurries... | Jun 19 2009 00:10 (UTC) |

In Canada we also have smarties (the candy coated chocolate ones, not those little powdery mini hockey puck things they call smarties in the states.) and the mcflurry is 620 for the small and 900 for the large! And since it's only 50 cents more to get the large, you can bet most people do. I was eating them quite frequently this spring until I looked up the count for them. |

| Thank you! I just got back actually and it was great. It's so hard to get yourself there, and in a bathing suit in front of everyone, but once you're in the water it's really nice. :) | |||

| I already looked through the forums a lot and can't find it. It was a response so I don't remember what topic it was posted in. I didn't post in it. | |||

| I'm assuming you're talking about exercise balls in general? I haven't seen any specific advertisements, but I do use an exercise ball and it makes my knee feel better when I stretch it out good. (My knee gets sore and prevents me from bike riding too.) | |||

| As completely random as it is, RiseAgainst's Prayer for the Refugee is sooo good for working out to. It's pretty mellow and then gets friggin fast, good for HIIT style workouts. | |||

Cellulitedelight - seaweed is a specialty here. :P Americans buy it in big bags to try it and then gag at the taste. |

| The sight of oatmeal makes me feel sick to my stomach. Gah. The most disgusting texture in the whole world. I've tried it a couple of times just cause it's cheap and healthy, but my god does it ever gross me out. |

| Health & Support | Does this site make you feel even worse about yourself? | Aug 25 2007 03:50 (UTC) |

| Sometimes I feel like I should be eating around 1200 calories myself, rather than the 1400 - 1600 it takes to keep me going all day. And I admit, I do dip down to 1200 a lot and feel more "successful" when it's closer to that. I think this site has it's pros and cons. The tools here are so valuable, but the forums have become more and more polluted. I have to take little breaks from the forums all the time because the amount of posts made by people desperate to lost weight they do not have to lose. I really don't feel like this site is a good place to try to recover, as it seems like there could be a lot of triggers. I hope you get well. : ) |

| And so can I. It's not really the thread that bothered me so much as everyone chiming in not to "christian bash". If they can post their beliefs in a public forum, they should also realise that many others believe differently and as such can post. Just seems like a weird site to post stuff like this and not want an negative response to it. Anyways, it's not a big deal. It's the lounge, it's meant for random stuff. There's no need to get upset over internet forums. : ) And I too am curious as to how you are seeing so many people having relations, I hope you mean knowing they are having it rather than walking in, as that can be rather awkward I imagine. :P |

| Then maybe to avoid christian bashing, they should post their beliefs on christian forums rather than weight loss forums. | |||

| 13 is a young age to be dieting, it would be best to talk about it to your parents and a doctor first. My older sister and I used to fight like crazy, we never got along. But as I got older, we've gotten closer. Now we're both in college, so the playing field has evened out a lot. I think with a lot of siblings, once the age gap gets to a point where you're all at a similar point in your life (Like both being adults as opposed to an adult and a young teen) then it won't seem like such a big deal. Hang in there! |

Hello there. I would love to make a few friends on here to mutually support. I'd like to read journal entries and comment, etc. I am 5'3 and 131 lbs. I started out here at 145 lbs, got down to 125, lost my motivation and have gained back a few. My goal weight is 115, but I would probably be pretty happy with a 120. |

| Not yet, but when I break into the industry I will get right on it. Come to think of it, I am really liking this idea. I think I might do some "high fashion" shoots this year at school with girls of all sizes, all healthy and beautiful. I really like that idea. |

| There are very few girls who will ever become models, starving yourself will not make that happen. You also have to be very tall, have small bone structure, etc. It's just not realistic to force your body to be what it isn't naturally. | |||

| I was an overweight kid and I took dance classes for 8 years. I would wear a baggy t-shirt over my tights, but that's not an option for performances and shows. I have never felt worse about myself then when I had to prance around a hundred people in spandex. I think talking about the "unflattering" outfits is not mean, it's true. Overweight kids know that they look bad, and every other kid will tell them the same. My self esteem was so low during all that time. A couple years after I quit dancing I joined the school soccer team. I felt so much more comfortable with my still overweight body in the baggy jersey, and even felt like it made me look good. Since I didn't feel self conscious, I was free to put all my effort into soccer, and as a result got in better shape, became healthier, made friends, and maintained that self esteem throughout high school. : ) | |||

| When I'm away from my boyfriend, it makes me feel better to think of how happy we both will be when we see each other again. It's like reliving those times in the beginning of a relationship when everything is exciting and new. Instead of missing him, just think of how great it's going to be in only two days! And don't eat to make yourself feel better, because you'll only feel worse, he wouldn't want you to binge and feel bad on his account I'm sure. : ) Only two more days, that's sooo soon! | |||
