| Hi ladies! I used to come to this site last winter but I got so discouraged because it just made me focus on me and my weight and my eating and my, my, my, etc. But it is so neat to see you all here focusing on God and losing weight while you're at it!! If I may join you, I would be very grateful and I will support where and how I can! |

| Hey everyone! kristenring, irothell, sunkissedbliss - Welcome to the group! beanna - You are definitely not alone, but the support of this group has helped me immensely in the last few weeks. Glad to meet you! rdwk - I know what you mean about studying or reading or something that food just seems to go with. I had read somewhere that after a while our body and mind connect that the two things are supposed to go together (for me it is the first Harry Potter movie and saltines sprinkled with seasoning salt, for example) and we have to break this connection. Very hard, I know. But we are all here for you! ripgurl - Thanks for the great tips! Has anyone seen Christinak74 recently? If you are out there lurking Christina, drop in for a "Hi"!! |

| Hi,
I am currently taking an online course to be able to work from home as a medical transcriptionist. If you interested and enjoy solitude, it can be great. The course I am taking has really good employment results. Go to www.selkirk.ca and take a look at the Advanced Medical Transcriptionist course. Good luck! |

| Hey everyone! I joined this group a week or so ago and I have been so happy with the support I have received.
Elli - I have had wonderful results using my journal to communicate with a few people who are generous enough to take the time to keep tabs on me! canttouchthis - I completely understand. I always rationalize a binge by telling myself "I'll just get rid of all this stuff (by eating it!) and then I will not buy anymore." I can't have half a bag of chips in the cupboard or it makes me crazy!! Anyway, welcome to all the new folks and "hi" to everyone who I've met before. Here's to a disciplined week for all of us! |

| Well, I farm in central Alberta so I don't really raise cattle as a hobby but I enjoy it. My horses are more of a hobby and I want to get into competitive trail riding this year (I guess since I started running, EVERYONE has too!! lol)
I also love to read and I would really like to start knitting but it keeps getting put on the back burner. |

| Well for the official weigh in day which I believe is today, I am still up one pound from my start weight. Which frustrates me but persistence, passion and patience will win out in the end!!
gypsierose - Good idea taking one thing at a time. I read Bob Green's book (the guy who worked with Oprah) and he said he wished he didn't ever have to tell his clients their weight. That was a really good book about emotional eating. Mardy - great job with the pizza. Sometimes you have to take drastic measures. You are doing great! |

| Hi,
I tried this too and had good results but I definitely advise the moisturizer!! My face flaked very badly since I was scared to use moisturizers. But it did work. |

| Hi Cherie, Good attitude about improving! I am new to the group so I look forward to getting to know you! I have snapped out of my funk from this morning. My local TOPS chapter moved their meetings to weekday mornings and I was not able to attend anymore but there is another chapter in a nearby town that has meetings in the evenings so I am going to join theirs. Hopefully, between internet support, real life support, and heavenly support, 2007 is going to be a loser year! |

| gypsie - Great job on fourteen days. I pick up on other people's emotions easily too. I used to feel responsible for them too but I have learned not to make them my own.
But, speaking of my own emotions, I am feeling sorry for myself today. I know the official weigh in for this group is tomorrow but Tuesday has been my day for a long time. So I weighed myself and I know I have increased my excercise, been eating well and it is TOM so I was expecting a gain but it still really, really irked me. I have been doing this for two weeks and I am exactly the same! Grrrrr! |

| Happy Monday all!
I had a pretty good weekend, I do believe. Certainly binge free which is saying a lot for me. I even went to a friends house Saturday night where they decided to try out their chocolate fountain which they got for Christmas. I have read on here in places that as you clean the junk out of your body, you won't crave it and after a couple of pieces of fruit in that chocolate, I had had ENOUGH. It even made me a little sick to my stomach with it being so sweet. YAY!! Sunday, I didn't eat particularly healthy but my portions were reasonable, so I am happy. Sounds like everyone else had a pretty good weekend and now we are off to a great start of a new week! |

| Well, I already owe you guys a big debt. You kept me on track last night. As I was eating my supper (healthy, appropriate portions) my mind kept going to the cheese in the fridge and how much I wanted to have my favorite snack, melted cheese on crackers with OXO chicken stock sprinkled on it.
But, after supper, I logged on, entered my food for the night and reviewed some posts. And I DID NOT binge!! Yay!! So thank you all for being here. |

| Jamie - I am sorry things are not going so well lfor you. I wish I had some wise words to pass along that will just fix everything for you but I don't, so please just accept my support in your battle.
Last night, I really wanted to binge. I went to the grocery store with every intention of buying microwave popcorn and then eating the night away. But, like redrock mentioned, I read the calorie content and decided it wasn't worth it. A real triumph for me. I don't know why I do it sometimes. I won't even want the food I am eating but it is almost like I am rebelling against something (I don't know what) and I eat just because I can. Today I am conscious that the desire to eat is there but it is manageable right now. Anyway, as I get to know you all, I hope to have more supportive personals so please bear with me the first little while. Hope everyone has a controlled day! |

| Hi guys!
Until I joined this site, I just thought I was a pig. But there actually is an eating disorder? Weekends are the worst for me. I rationalize that they are my "treat days" or "days off" and then I eat all day. I will drive to town for nothing other than food. Sheesh, no wonder my budget is so off. Anyway, right now I am feeling good because I am not pre-TOM and it is during the week but I know it is only a matter of time until I want to binge again. So I would appreciate the opportunity to able to tune in here as needed. I think a sign that I actually do have a disorder is the fact that I avoided this thread and now I am blushing a little as I write this! Anyway, thank you all for your encouragement and availability. I hope I can be there for you too! |

| Hi Bett, I have only been here a few days too but this gives me a chance to think about what I plan and not just go on autopilot.
Wednesdays goals: 1. Do 10 min ab video. 2. Drink 8 glasses of water. 3. Eat only when hungry. Stop when full. 4. Do devotions tonight. Have a great "hump day" everyone! |

| Yesterday went well, except that I had a hard time getting enough calories of all the weird things. If it's not one thing, it's another!Well, here's Tuesday:
1. Run for 30 min at lunch. 2. Drink 64 ounces of water. 3. Have a yogurt with my lunch (need more calcium) 4. Do 2 hours homework tonight. 5. Spread my calories out more evenly over the day. |

| Hi,
That is exactly the same thing that I struggle with. A few suggestions I have received from others is to brush my teeth when I am done eating for the day, have a 12 hour rule where I stop eating 12 hours after I started for the day and to not keep the things I like to binge on in the house. When I implement these, they work but I know I intentionally sabotage myself sometimes. Here's to both of us beating this!! |

| Happy Saturday everyone!
Well, yesterday was a 50/50 day. Hopefully, today will be better. 1. Eat only when hungry. 2. Drink 8 glasses of water. 3. Stay under 1750 calories. That's it. I know it is short but weekends are the hardest for me so I will go with baby steps!! |
