It was the exact same time of the day.  Before I ate anything, etc.  Just before the shower, so no additional weight from clothes, etc. either.  It must have just been water.

Wow - didn't realize that TOM could cause that much weight gain.

Thanks for the reply!

Motivation Help PLEASE!! I've lost over 40lbs and I'm slipping... Oct 08 2009

The only thing I can offer you is that you will physically feel miserable if you put the weight back on - trust me.  I lost 25 pounds in about a 3 or 4 month period over a year ago, and I've gained 15 of it back, and I feel terrible, both physically and mentally.

I don't think I've ever felt worse, and I'm slowly gaining the momentum back, but I wish I would have never fell back into old habits!

So, do the best you can to stay at maintenance calories if you're too busy to work out.  Or, eat 1/2 the portions you normally would if you're grabbing food on the go.

Best wishes, and congrats on your accomplishment so far!

Hi everyone!!!

Today's weigh in was 194.0!  I'm happy with a 1.5 pound loss this week considering I didn't get much exercise in, and overall I've dropped a little over 4 pounds in about 2 weeks!  :)

College Football season will be tough though!

My highest weight was 216 pounds and my lowest on CC was 183 about a year ago, but I've (obviously) gained some back after my Dad and Grandmother passed away.  I'm just happy that I haven't gained it ALL back.  I'm need motivated before that happens!  :)

Is there still room?

Not feeling well is a good excuse, in my opinion.  Hopefully you'll feel better soon.

I need to send you my points for yesterday and the day before - I forgot about it...oops!  My oldest dog has been having some trouble and we've been busy trying to take care of her.  She's starting to get better now, but we took her to the vets last night and ended up getting Chinese take out for supper.  It was good, but the salt must be making me retain some water because the scale was up, up, up this morning!  I'll have to drink lots of water today and try to flush it out.

I don't have any vacations planned for August, so I should really be able to focus much, much better.  I've basically only maintained my weight so far this month.  All the travelling just didn't give me much time to plan properly.

Get well soon!

OK, life is getting back to normal.  I did not track calories over the last week while I was on vacation, but I did track the exercise, water, and challenges.  I will get them ready to send to you now.

Today I will log my calories and stay under my target!  :)

I did a lot of yard work on Friday and Sunday and was sweating buckets too.  I "took off" yesterday!  No exercise at all.  I was too tired from the weekend.  Have a trip coming up this weekend and next week, so I'll do my best to track everything.  I know I'll get a lot of walking in!

Yay - I found the July challenge!

I just sent my points from yesterday.  I included 15 minutes of exercise from going to the batting cages with my son!  We actually went on the 7th, but I didn't really feel like it was exercise until my abs were hurting yesterday!

We had a lot of fun, and I hope to do it again soon!

I'm ready for June.  Decided to stop weight watchers and stick to CC!  :)  I lost no weight at all in May!

My starting weight for June is 188.  My goal points will be 600.

Good luck everyone!

Hi everyone!  I've been busy with a lot of travel, etc. and I haven't been able to report my numbers, so I'm going to bow-out for the rest of May, but I'll keep an eye out for the start of June!  :)

I also lost 7 lbs in April.

Calorie count and exercise are the two main things.  Keep motivated by joining a challenge in the month of May, and keep full by selecting high fiber, high protein foods, and do the not-so-great stuff in moderation!  :)

It will come off!

Question on one of the new personal challenges.  Are we allowed to adjust April's points for each day we were under maintenance based on our Analysis for April???  Or, is it just from this point forward?

Happy Birthday!  We're close together.  My big 3-0 was on Tuesday (4/21).  Just don't do what I did - overeat!!!

My husband took me out on Saturday, and my Mom had me for dinner on Monday!  I ate way too much on those days!

Try to stay focused, but enjoy your day!

OK, so I just had to share because I'm so excited.  I've been planning on going to a conference for work in May, and I just completed registering for all the sessions that I'll be attending.  Anyway, just got my "Agenda" for the days that I'll be down there, and on the last night we're there, there will be a private party at Sea World.  I'm really happy about this considering the first profession I ever wanted to pursue was Marine Biology, and I still love going to Sea World.  Laughing

Congrats to you all seems like you are all doing well. I am new as well, joined today. I have been counting cals for a couple weeks after switching from Weight Watchers after years, just can't see my self counting "points" forever...counting cals seem more realistic to me!!

That's sort of funny that you're switching from WW to here.  I just attended my very first WW meeting last night!  I have my little tracker and everything, but I can't seem to give up on CC!  I'm addicted.  Plus, I hate to pay to do something I've done on my own, but I sort of lost the "accountability factor" a while back and figured the weekly weigh ins might help with that, so I decided to try it for one month, but if I don't lose any more weight than I did on my own I'm not going to continue - I just need that motivation / accountability to get me kick started again!

Wow!  We sound a lot alike, except I'll be 30 Cry on the 21st of April, but I'm 5' tall too, and have been actually as high as 90 pounds overweight; currently about 75 pounds over.  I lost about 25 about a year ago using calorie count and averaging 25 - 30 min. of exercise (sweat you're you know what off exercise) per day.  I allowed mysefl no more than 1600 - 1700 calories per day, and the 25 pounds came off in 3 months.  Those 3 months went quick, but we're very easy.  Then, I maintained for about 6 months, and gained 10 lbs. back since the Holidays, so April is my no excuse get BACK ON TRACK month.

I would definitely suggest finding one of the challenges to sign up for in the forum!!  They're time consuming (some of them), but highly motivating.  I just signed up for the "Minis Challenge" - it's the best one on there in my opinion!  It's great and really helps me out.

Good Luck!  The biggest hurdle, at least in my opinion, is being mentally prepared!

Thanks kyashiis.  I misread the A for analysis.  I thought it was simply logging all your food for the day made you an A student, so I thought I'd add to it!  Thanks for letting me know.

I've done this challenge before - I have found that setting my personal points goal for the month motivates me a little more, but I try to make realistic so I don't get discouraged if I can't achieve it.  (I typically take into account how busy personal and work life will be each month for the exercise portion of the points - it helps!)

I'm in for April.

Will there be a new thread, or is this one just going to continue?

Also, I have 3 challenges to suggest.

#1 - Set your own personal points goal for April.  (Mine is 550.)

#2 - Receive a point when you hit your goal.

#3 - A point for each day when the Food Log analysis is an A- or above!  (This requires all food be logged.)

Good luck in April everyone!
