| Dont quote me on this and I am sure if I werent so lazy I could google it to find out for sure but I swear I read somewhere once that if something has less than 5 calories they can put Zero on the label. Not everyone does as I have seen things with 1, 2, 3...but rarely...does seem to be 0 or 5...not much in between. | |||

Avesha, good luck on your 30 lbs by your 30th bday. Here is my 30th birthday story. Kinda. I had a worse time turning 26 (I was closer to 30 than 20) than I actually did with 30. Don't get me wrong, 30 sucked :) but the bark was worse than that bite. I remember thinking that maybe it was time to grow up since I was now in my 30s but lucky for me, I didnt listen to myself and still havent grown up yet. Anyhow, if it makes you feel better just to say it. How old are you Avesha? (get out that 20something while you can) :) I have still been struggling to take off anymore weight. Stuck for yet month 2. Still picking myself up and dusting myself off but my rear is getting sore from all that falling. Trying to pick up on the amount of exercise and of course continually trying to eat better. | I have been stuck at the same weight since beginning May also. It sucks. I have to say tho, at least I am not going up. (I try and think positive most of the time). Hoping my renewed interest in this site will have me losing again. It is hard tho, I find myself munching when I needn't be. Ahh. Not giving up tho...
And to be honest, I never even pay attention to the ads, I dont see em. :) Lauren |

| Hello all. I am back, again. Just finished catching up on the month of threads I have missed. Sounds like everyone is in the same battle as me which is just another reminder of why I need to come on here and stay here.
Basically for the last 6 weeks I have stayed in a 5lb range of up and down and it has sucked. I started a personal trainer 3 weeks ago and although I havent really lost any weight I do know I have lost inches (I went down another size). Monday I decided to start tracking my food again and really watching my calorie deficit. Today is day 2 of my start-all-over mentality....my get-back-on-track time. I am going on vacation (a week on a lake) in less than 5 weeks and am hoping I can drop 10lbs before I go. Avesha, I sure wish I had a cure for your cravings. Usually for me a bite or two of something will work but I have actually never been one to have cravings like that much. I know I have said it before but I am going to try again and get on the site everyday and keep up with the thread and all that other good stuff I did that helped me lose my first 30lbs. Lauren |

| I am finally there, if I wanted, I could leave this thread. :) I am no longer in the over 200 category! Today I got on the scale and was a good 199. Woohoo! One hundred something. It feels awesome. Tomorrow is official weigh in day and usually I dont like saying I am a weight until I see it twice but I just had to take this one right away.
I had to jump start my loss, kinda leveled out like most of us do, and now it seems to be coming off again. Had about a week of higher eating then dropped back down and the pounds seem to be melting away. Yeah! Brandy, what Avesha said...jumpstart the loss again by upping food for a few days a little bit or adding something a little different to the exercise routine, it really works. Lauren |

| If you eat a lot of fiber be sure to drink a lot of water with it. Too much fiber and too little water can cause constipation. I know, sounds weird. | |||

| I havent read in a few days (okay, more than a few) so I am a bit behind but...
WTG! Big congrats Avesha on your under 200 mark...that is just awesome! I was hoping for that for me for Wednesday but it didnt happen so am hoping again for next Wednesday. Amarnatt, good luck on your 5K. I do one every year in October and every year I get a little faster but I walk a lot more than I run. I just tried running recently and I am just still too heavy, too hard on my joints. Its not so bad on the indoor track or a treadmill but I just cant stick with that very long, get bored...outside on the pavement tho it hurts....maybe after I lose some more weight. Hey to everyone else...dont meant to dismiss anyone but I feel like I have waited too long to reply to certain things. :) Lauren |

| On calories burned...my understanding from reading I have done.
Trying to figure out how to explain it. If you are actually light activity you burn more calories throughout the day even when not exercising than the sedentary person. If you are moderate activity, you burn more calories throughout the day, even when not exercising, than sedentary and light activity person. And so on. So, if you really do light activity or moderate activity you can mark that setting and still add in your exercise. But, like most people here, wanting to be safer than sorry, we mark a lower category than we fall into. :) Jenny, I did have my acne clear up with the metformin, mostly but the hairs arent as clear as I would like either. I am hoping that those go away with the weight loss. I am taking less now than I used to, 1500mg to 1000mg now and will probably go to 500mg soon. I want to get healthy enough that I dont need it anymore. Lauren |

| Avesha...wtg! Wow, so close. How exciting. I am so looking forward to that (204 now)...I have kicked up my exercise and been doing better watching what I eat (mainly) so hopefully get out of this rut I am in right now. Let us know when you get to 199.
Good to hear from you again Raspberrydelight...what are you taking, if anything, for the insulin resistance and/or PCOS? My dermatologist actually diagnosed my IR and being on metformin has helped tremendously with problems I didnt even realize were related. Start my new exercise class tonight...my first ever class...looking forward to it. Lauren |
