I actually often stop in and get a salad from the salad bar to go with 1/2 sandwich I make at home. In NH where my Hannafords is it's actually less expensive than Shaws on most items. Always having markdowns on meat and fish. Good to find other "crazy" people that enjoy grocery shopping. ; )

If you live in the Northeast try shopping at Hannafords. They have a new guiding star system that rates foods. I enjoy searching the isles for the 3 star foods. Of course I one of the few people that actually enjoys grocery shopping. Anyone else that does???

Anything Else You'd Like To Share? My husband and I raise sheep on a small farm in the woods of Maine. We love to garden and sell our produce/herbs at farmers market. We also show our Oxford sheep at local fairs.

My husband and I raise lamb and the idea of cloning livestock for meat production is offensive to me. As small farmers we take pride in raising healthy livestock in a humane way. We strive to improve our breed of sheep so we can sustain the breed and show them at local fairs. Our customers feel confident that they are getting a quality product from us and helping to support the local environment and economy. I wish that there were more small farmers so all consumers could experience buying their food from a local farm.

I live in Maine and own a lamb and herb farm. During the Spring and Summer we are busy in the garden with lambs and going to the fairs, but this time of year not much happening only waiting for lambs to be born so I spend alot of time eating. Glad I found this site as it gives me an easy way to keep a food log. Glad to be a part of this community. Healthy Living in 2007!!!
