I think that's fine....not too much different than what I'm doing. My plan is to stick around that and then about 8 weeks before my half (also in the fall) I'm going to start increasing by 1/2-1 mile each week on my one long run.

But your current running schedule sounds totally fine to me!

Hang in there....I think we all need to cut ourselves some slack sometimes. We put more pressure on ourselves than anyone and then when we aren't 100% perfect we feel horrible...it just isn't right. I have found it much easier to say ok...I will be really good 4 days a week and not care the 3 other. What generally happens is that I end up being good 6 and maybe bad 1. It's like as long as I allow myself to fail, I don't.

Oh...and good job on the running!

I do mine at home. I run so I'm either on my treadmill or running outside 5 days a week for an hour. Three days a week I do a routine with weights for my arms using 3 and 5 lb. dumbells. I'm too self conscious to work out a gym so I prefer the privacy of my home.

Oh I totally understand and I feel for you. I have been doing so good but yesterday some stuff was going on and I just ate and ate, which of course leads to guilt which could lead to giving up but I tried to re-focus today even though it's hard. Just hang in there, tomorrow's another day and know that you're not alone!
Recipes Low Cal. but filling breakfast? Feb 28 2008

I've posted this a ton of times before but I love it so I always have to share. Every morning I have my same breakfast, 210 calories!

3/4 cup egg beaters, 2 slices of deli ham (30 calories a slice) and one slice of crystal farms cheese (or whichever plastic wrapped cheese you like). I scramble all this together and add salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder and basil. It's very filling, makes a ton and for 210 calories you can't go wrong!
Weight Loss what a mirror can do to change your perspective - has anyone else realized this too? Feb 27 2008

Too funny on the mirror thing. At my house I have two huge square mirrors that are above my garden tub. Neither of them is flattering in the least. But at the tanning place I go to...she has a mirror on the wall and I swear I look 10 pounds thinner in that mirror. It makes me want to tan every day just to give my ego a boost!!!

Awesome job on getting down in sizes! That's great!!!

I'm on my 2nd pair of tall black boots....definitely my favorite thing in my wardrobe. I always feel really cute and stylish when I wear them....and you can wear them with so much!!!!! Now if I could just be brave enough to wear my tall, hot pink, vinyl stiletto boots. :)

I second the tanning bed notion. I live in MN and saw you live in WI so I totally get where you're coming from. I was getting really down a month ago and started  tanning. I swear it helps! Just looking like you've been in the sun gives you a boost. I know it's technically not good for you in some aspects but it is in others. Definitely try and get out with the kiddos. I just did some x-country skiing and tubing with mine a couple weeks ago and it was great! I burned calories and had fun!

Hey girls...I lift weights at home...I just use free weights. I bought a dvd called Sexy Arms awhile back and I watched it for awhile until I memorized the exercises and now I do that three times a week. I've upped the weights in doing so and have added pushups to it. I have noticed definition in my arms and since I'm getting married in June and have a sleeveless dress I wanted them to look as good as I could get them!

Any of you girls do any running? That's my thing. :)

You know they keep advertising that Big Box (I think that's what they call it) from KFC with all your favorites in there....I see that and I want to cry I want it so bad!!!! So um yeah, fried chicken and mashed potatoes and gravy are a big one. For dessert I just want a big glass of milk and a package of Oreo cookies. Maybe I'll have that when I'm able to run 10 miles in a row....that's a good incentive!

I work out 5 days a week and run 3, power walk 2 of them. All are 60 minutes on the treadmill. I also do an arm workout routine 3 days a week. We can do it!!!!!!

When I've been sore after pushing myself I find that an easier jog/run the day after really helps. I say go and workout but don't use the same intensity. I'm not sure what you do for cardio but I would pick something that's easier on your joints and stuff. Now if you actually injured yourself then working out isn't a good idea. But if it's general soreness just keep going!

I had my first daughter when I was 18 years old and didn't really take the time to take care of my body so I gained a good 70 pounds and had more than enough stretch marks to go along with it. I lost most of that weight and then got pregnant with daughter number 2. After that I went on a mission to lose a lot of weight and I did...I'm 5'3" and I was down to about 115 and I held that weight for several years but my stomach never went away. I mean I could wear cute t-shirts and nice jeans but underneath it was a big 'ol mess. I really think that there's nothing you can do once the stretch marks happen. Your skin just physically cannot go back to what it was. But hey...at least we're not alone. I think there are a whole lot more women with our problem then there are women who wear bikini's after childbirth.

Let me go check the garbage...ok, it's Betty Crocker Super Moist butter pecan. What I did was add the calories for the whole dry mix plus the calories for the whole can of pumpkin and then divided by 24...came to like 90.8888888888 something. Oh...definitely spray some Pam in the muffin cups so they don't stick...the texture is on the sticky side just so you know!

Weight Loss Happy (& growing) In Love... Feb 11 2008

Before I met my fiance I had lost 17 lbs and was on my way to losing a total of 30. Well after we met I just kinda let everything slide. Every day he would tell me how much he loved me and how he loved me just the way I was....kinda makes it a little easier to slide on the diet so I proceeded to gain back all those 17 lbs. in about 9 months. I'm back on track now and have lost 13 of those pounds again. The hard part was dinner time. I knew what I had to do and I made it very clear I would be eating lean cuisines or salads and I would make him and the kids normal dinners. He put up a fuss at first but has since been very supportive, especially since the weight is coming off!!! I admit it's a pain sometimes and it takes a LOT of willpower to not eat some of the delicious things but I might have a bite or two and that satisfies the craving!

I've never heard of that!!!! But the thought of injecting myself with a hormone just to lose weight seems like a bad idea. I don't believe for a second that you can't lose stored fat....well maybe not every single ounce of fat on your body but then we'd all be skeletons and that's not a good look. Shouldn't we all have SOME stored fat on our bodies?

I say keep doing it the RIGHT way and you'll see results.
Foods healthy breakfast ?!? Feb 06 2008

Here's my every day breakfast.

3/4 cup egg beaters

1 slice american cheese (you know the plastic kind)

2 slices of deli ham that's pre-packaged and at 30 calories a slice.

I cook all that up with salt, pepper, basil, onion powder and garlic powder.

YUMMY! And it's only 210 calories and keeps me full for several hours.

(Sorry, looked at your profile after and saw you're vegetarian...I guess skip the ham?? :) )

Well most people are going to tell you on here to eat more but I just wanted to comment on it. As on outsider I would not look at you and think you're the "fat friend". You look absolutely gorgeous in ALL your pics. You looked fine at 135 and you look fine at 147. I guess my only advice is really to check the calories on the weekend. When I started doing that the weight started coming off quicker. I used to do really good, maybe drop a pound or two and then the weekend would come, and the pound would come back and then the following week I would work it off again. It got to be quite the cycle. The only thing I do now is allow myself one cheat MEAL a week instead of a whole cheat day.
Motivation Calling Autumn 08 brides Feb 04 2008

Well I'm not an autumn bride but I am getting married in June 2008 in Las Vegas. It's not a first wedding for either my fiance or I so we're doing something small and fun. I started the beginning of January at 162 and I'm currently at 151. I would LOVE to be under 130 by the wedding. Preferably I'd like to be 120. So while I don't have to get an elaborate wedding dress I do have to get something and I'm thinking it's going to be a little harder! I have an idea of what I want in mind and it'll be form fitting and stuff so I HAVE to lose the weight. Plus, who wants to look at wedding pictures for the rest of our lives when we were heavy you know? God bless our fiance's though....sounds like no one has one that has a problem with our current weight and that's great!

I'm also saving up for a new wardrobe. Most of my clothes that I used to fit into are now out of style anyway so I'm going to trash most everything in my closet and start over!!! I also might cut my hair into a cute inverted bob. Right now I'm keeping my hair long as to distract from my current weight!

I eat this every day for breakfast and it tops out at 210 calories!

3/4 cup egg beaters, 1 slice plastic cheese (you know like Kraft or whatever brand you like) and then I use 2 slices of packaged deli ham that are 30 calories a slice. I scramble all that together with salt, pepper, onion powder and garlic powder. It keeps me very full for a long time and hey for 210 calories you can't go wrong. Sometimes I throw in some chopped green peppers too if I'm bored.
