| Great postings everyone! I have change my lifestyle to make south beach the way that I eat permanently. I lost 15 lbs. lsat summer and kept it off until I lost control during the holidays. This Aug. I realized I needed to make the commitment to eating healthfully for life. I have lost 7 lbs. in 3 weeks and I am not hungry nor do I crave anything. I love the way I feel. I also exercise on a regular basis and look forward to continuing this lifestyle. I had my cholesterol checked last year and was done several points. I just had it checked again so I will psot the results when they arrive in the mail. I am very hopeful that it wil be even more improved. I tried the lemon chicken couscous in the book recipe section for phase 2; it was great! My sons loved it. I didn't ahve broccoli on hand so I shredded zuchini which is very plentiful right now. It worked great with the recipe. I don't care for the ricotta deserts in phse 1 and I didn't care for the surprise mashed potatoes using cauliflower, but ovber all, the recpires are great. I also picked up the cookbook and have tried many of the recipes. I also just adapt my everyday foods, too. It has become so easy. I am really hopeful to drop the next 20 lbs. slowly and permanently. This holiday season I won't fall off the wagon. | |||

| This is just what I need! I am 5'6' and weigh 155 right now. I would love to drop 10 lbs. by Halloween. My goal is 130 eventually. I use an exercise video and walk at least 30 minutes every day. Sometimes I bike. I took up kayaking this summer which I love. I've just joined the local YMCA, too, so I hope to find some classes to keep me working out and doing that in interesting ways. I walk alot at work and my office is on the 2nd floor so I use the steps and since the main office is on the first floor, I go up and down them often! I have lost 7 lbs. in the last three weeks. I have a co-worker that is also trying to get back in shape, so we hold each other accountable. That really helps. Good luck everyone! | |||

Lat wek's weight: 154 Total lost last week: 0 Total pounds lost: 8 I ate out quite a bit last week and didn't exercise, but at least I didn't gain. Next week I will be at a conference, so it will be tough to eat right and exercise. |

Weight last week: 154 lbs. Total pounds lost: 8 lbs. Complaints: I really have gone overboard this week with eating out and not choosing wisely. Praises: I got out to walk a few times anyway! How do some of you lose so much? I guess I should be happy that it is going slow and steady. I like that my clothes are fitting better! |

Current: 154 Lost one pound this week! Did well: ate balanced meals, an A every day! Lots of water and a daily vitamin Need to improve: Not to get carried away on the weekends. Watch salt and eating out. I hardly exercised at all this past week so I need to get back to it. I had lost inches and want to keep that up! Good luck, everyone! don't let a set back or two get yu down. Just keep trying.... |

today's weight: 155 Things I did well this week: I stuck to my eating plan even when going out to eat, i drank lots of water, got more than enough calcium, and took a daily vitamin. I also exercised at least an hour each day! Goals for next week: more exercise, less salt, in-line skating |

| Hi, I have been having a hard time finding the curent weigh in. I posted this week (3) on week 2 and now I am posting week 4 here on week 3. Maybe I am looking for this too early in the week. Anyway, I am happy to say that the past week went great!
Current weight: 155 Starting weight: 160 What I did well: I planned my meals, exercised daily, had lots of water, and a daily vitamin. I didn't blow it when I ate out! To improve: Eat more veggies and fish. |

| I drik slim fast for breakfast. It's a quick way to start the day as I run out the door and drive! Also, it has 50% calcium which is really important for me as I try to get more than the 100% recommended for daily intake. The rest of my meals are usually lean cuisine or smart ones or salads or fish. I have healthy snacks in between. | |||

Starting weight: 158 This week; 160 Ate too much at two family Easter dinners! Plus, candy and treats! What I did right: Drank lots of water. To improve: Make better food choices. Goal: Get back on track and eat healthfully. Add exercise. Exercise right away in themorning so I don't get sidetracked or too tired later in the day to do it. |
