| Weight Loss | What flipped the switch for you to get serious about weight loss? | Jan 23 2007 23:39 (UTC) |

| The past year and a half I gained 40 pounds. I knew it was a problem, but i never realized just how big i was. All the pictures I had taken actually looked ok, (must've been taken on my good side..haha) my face didnt get any bigger, and no one was around telling me I was fat. This Christmas/New Years break my boyfriend's side of the family had a huge family reunion in Florida. On the second to last day there, they took a bunch of family photos, and a bunch of photos on the beach. After viewing all these pics i couldnt believe what i looked like. I guess you cant hide in a swimming suit! My calfs looked twice the size as i thought, my face was now round instead of oval, and i had more rolls on my stomach then a bakery. I was so depressed for the next two days. Then i realized, i did this to myself. and just thinking about losing weight isnt going to make it happen, and no one can do it for me. So how much more out of control do you want it to get before you actually do something? Low and behold, we returned home on the 4th, i started here on the 8th, and have officially lost 4.3 pounds! And thats only the beginning! | |||
| Weight Loss | 120's/110's club anyone? | Jan 23 2007 23:03 (UTC) |

| I'm on the same page as ltlmsmfft, my goal weight is 126ish but my ideal (far fetched is what i mean) is 105 or less. I'm at 162 right now, so it will be a while, but i think i can get there by July. I've lost 4.3 pounds in 2 weeks! yay! My thoughts about the above underweight comments. I have never been below 115 in my adult body so i dont think i can get below that. And even though i'm 5feet and i should be at 110, it most likely wont happen. BUT, if i was able to get below that, in a healthy manner of course, i would love the encouragement. I was just saying the other day that i wished my weight was double digit not triple. That was a dream of course. Man, to be under 100 pounds, that would be awesome! | |||

| Oh man starrnix, I had to laugh so hard when i saw your post. I too can only drink water out of plastic. i HATE drinking it out of glass. For example, when i go to a restaurant and they bring me glass, i have to have a straw or else i wont drink it. BUT, everything else has to be out of glass or else I wont drink it. Everyone says i'm weird, which maybe I am, but i'm not alone it seems! | |||

first off, cant wait to see you here jsnow. Now, i havent posted anything in a bit so i thought i would share my progress, or lack there of. I started this site on january 8th at an extreme 166.3. As of right now I am at 163! 3.3 pounds in two weeks. Thats a good start right? Man, i wish it was coming off faster, but what keeps me motivated is telling myself that i wouldnt have lost anything if it wasnt for me counting calories. The whole time i've been aware of my being over-weight, i've always put off losing it. So even though its slow, its better then what i was doing before. I do pretty well for the most part. My new years resolution was to not have alcohol ever, unless its a super huge special occasion. I've stuck with that and honestly, i know that the alcohol was hurting my weight. I dont like fried food, carbs, anything bad really. Although my downfall is sugar. i've been doing really well with that, much to my dismay ;). I think the main reason why my weight isnt dripping off is cause i hardly excersize. I hate it! I wish i could dance 7 hours a day like i used to, thats my kind of working out. anything else is boring to me. My boyfriend has lost 30 pounds and is hoping for another 30. Thank goodness he's in the same boat I am, or else i would never get down to my ideal (126 by july and a far fetched 110 overall). I know thats a lot, but i'm only 5 feet. Man, i've never been 110 in my life, hopefully my muscle mass is less then before. i'll keep everyone updated. Sorry for such a long post! P.S. I only weigh myself once a week, on the exact same day, as close to the same time as possible. I find that helps me cause i know i fluctuate throughout the week. so for those of you who get frustrated weighing yourself everyday, take a few days off. Its a nice surprise that one time a week when you've lost! :) |

| I know i'm a little late entering this club, but i just found it today. I started on this website exactly a week ago and i absolutely love it. In one week i went from 166.3 to 163.1! Yippeee!! and i was eating at least 1200 calories a day. So here's my story, since we are all sharing. I never had to worry about my weight because i was always dancing, cheering, tumbling, and whatever other *girlie* sport you can think of. I am 5'1" on a good day. And even though i never worried about my weight, i never got below 115. Dancer/Gymnast thighs and butt do not get skinny! I used to think my size 2 waist and size 4 thighs were large, only because all my other 5 foot friends were size 0. So where am I now? Well, as you can guess after the first year of college when i wasnt dancing any longer i gained. I think i weighed about 135 after my freshman year. Even though i'm short, since i was so toned, and even kind of was at that time, i was still only a size 4/6 and most people told me I looked smaller then that. Then came the alcohol. A couple years after high school I started drinking and in one year I gained another 30 pounds! now, maybe i can be 135 and look ok, but not 165!! I wasnt watching what i was eating, i was going out in the middle of the night, and eating whatever I wanted whenever I wanted. When i got on the scale at 166.3 that was it. So here I am. Trying to get back to my old self. Or even less of myself. i figure since i havent danced in three years my muscle tone surely is lost and maybe i can have slimmer thighs and buns! My goals:

| I grew up on the Beatles....NOTHING else compares! My life passion is to go back in time to see them in concert. This angers me to see that anyone would vote for Elvis..... :)
In response to comparing johnny cash to elvis, I still choose the Beatles. Is it possible to explain my passion for the beatles? Oh man... dont even get me started. I wont ever stop. As this reply has clearly stated. I think my vote is obvious.. |
