| I'm only going to put clips on or take them off on my official weigh in day once a week. I think that's reasonable, don't you? So we shall see what Wednesday brings. I've been up the past couple days. :( | |||

| Wow, what an excellent thread. If I had've just answered without reading other replies, I prbly would've said, "Well, I put off buying new clothes but that's just b/c I don't want to waste money when I know I'm still going to lose more weight and drop another few (several hopefully!) sizes."
But when I saw some of the replies, I was like... "Oh yeah, that's me. And that's me. And that's me too!" Haha... funny how I fool myself into believing I'm more comfortable with myself than I might actually be. My final reward when I reach my ultimate goal is to get a tattoo. So that's one thing I won't do now. As well as cutting my hair too short like Marla. (Though I did go 'chin length' yesterday!! EEK!) And, this may sound stupid, but ... dating people I like. I date. I fool around. I flirt like a fiend. But I only keep very superficial relationships and more often than not it's with someone I don't really like that much b/c I'm WAY too self conscious to be with someone that I actually like. I guess cuz their opinion of me matters to me so much more. |

| Definitely started noticing in my clothes after 7-10lbs and BIG time in my face, chin, neck, and a bit in overall general body around the 12-15lb mark. I'm just around the -20lbs mark now and I feel like I have a clavicle again! :D | |||
| Weight Loss | Which meal is the hardest for you to control what you eat? | May 07 2007 02:39 (UTC) |

| I struggle with after dinner snacks more than anything. I'm with you on the breakfast and lunch thing... no problems. Dinner is okay now that I have some 'fall back' meals that I can always go to even on days I don't plan. But NOT eating after that and before bed is hard for me. Or not over-eating I should say. That's part of the reason I instilled my own, No Eating After 9pm rule. Just one more way to keep me on track. | |||

| Well considering all people hold weight differently and there are a zillion other factors that come into it for any given person, I don't think it's a big deal. The important thing is to be HEALTHY, not to be 'skinny' ... and I have no doubt that your instructor is fit, could bust out any yoga move you asked her to do, knows how to eat well and can teach others how to do the same. She wouldn't be teaching there if they didn't think she was qualified. | |||

| Love this thread. I'm totally tagging it and coming back to it over the summer. Some of my girlfriends and I from work just decided to start a book club so these suggestions will be great!
Three books that I've read in the past month, all quick easy reads but very entertaining in their respective ways, are: Angry Housewives Eating Bon Bons by Lorna Landvik The Birth House by Ami McKay The Girls by Lori Lansens (This was my fave!) |

| I always hit lots of local festivals in the summer. I'm a music hound and I just love live stuff. Any bluesfest weekend is top notch in my books! There's always such a variety of bands and venues! Don't have plans for any 'big' festivals yet, but the summer is still young. ;o) | |||

| This happens to me too. The sleepiness thing. And I really feel like it is related to the change in diet. But I know I'm getting enough cals and water, so I'm not sure what to do about it either. | |||

| I haven't read the other replies yet but here's my two cents.
I think you have a good plan. DO NOT tell your parents. You'll worry them unnecessarily and will be angry if they interfere. If our parents knew all the things we did, they'd all be in early graves. Some things are best left private. Give your best friend all your details. Set up a call time and don't be ashamed to tell that guy that you have a 'check in time' with your girlfriend. I've done that before. Either you can call her, or she can call you. It's sometimes nice to have an "out" too if things aren't going well, so if you have your g/f call you a couple hours into your date, then if you want to leave, you can use that as an excuse. And if things are going well, then you say, "Yup, we're having a good time, thanks for checking on me, I'll call you later tonight." And then don't forget to call or email her to let her know you're home safe and sound. Dating online still has some stigma but it's part of life now. A big part of life for many people. And as many people have prbly said... it's no different than meeting someone at the movies, in line at the drug store, or at a bar. In fact you prbly know a little MORE about this guy than you would if you just met out of the blue on the street. So, I say go on the date. Be smart and safe about it. And if it goes well, after a couple more dates, if you think it's going somewhere THEN you can tell your parents. I know they have your best interests in their hearts and want what's best for you, but I know from experience that it's a scary thought for parents to consider. GOOD LUCK and let me know how the date goes!!! :D |

| Hey all! I haven't popped into the forums much lately because not only have I been supremely busy, but I've also been having computer issues at home. :( Boo!
Anyway, I wanted to roll in here and say HI to all my 200+crew! I've recently broke the 20lb mark and it's amazing to see the difference between a 275 on the scale and a 253. I sometimes don't believe I can really be seeing those numbers! Makes me think I should started this journey with this kind of dedication long ago! :D Glad to see people are doing well! Happy Spring. Enjoy this beauty weather! |

| Didn't see Kallie on the boards this morning. Her journal said she was up early and off for a busy day. Tonight is her daughter's prom! YAY! But we did have a little chat going bright and early. We just talked about beer and cheese fries. LOL Mmmm ... breakfast talk. HAHA! | |||

| Hahah! That would just be EVIL!! LOL Where are you supposed to be going on vacation?
Yeah, socializing more outside of the house is also important! Helps you not obsess about the things that build up when you're alone together so much! I LOVE girlfriends. Just had a girls night out last night and it was SUCH a blast! :D |

| Hi Jessieca! Welcome to the site and welcome to healthy eating and healthy living. There are a tonne of healthy snack ideas and meals in the recipe section on this website and lots of other cool tools and hints too. I'm on the other side of the scale and have always been overweight so I'm not on the same page when it comes to anorexia etc, but there are several people on here who have been through similar health and eating issues like you and we're all a supportive group when it comes to keeping healthy.
Good luck and have fun! See you around. :) |

| I hear ya. It's so hard when you know you love someone and they love you. But like my gal Tina Turner says, and I use as my mantra all the time... "What's love got to do, got to do with it?" LOL I know it's funny. And I'm not making light of your situation. But I honestly think that ALL the time.
People fall in love and think that's enough to make a life together. But it's soooo not. I don't even think it's always a necessary component of a good marriage. A GREAT one, maybe, but a happy one? Not necessarily. I've been in love a few times in my life, twice falling for my best friend who also was in love with me. But I never dated either one of them b/c we KNEW that as much as we loved each other, we wouldn't make a good couple and wouldn't make each other happy in a relationship the way we would want. Or the way we would be with someone else. *sigh* Good thing this is the vent thread! LOL |

| Yup, I really think men are so complacent and think that we women just WANT a man sooooo badly that we're willing to put up with anything. And they're so damn selfish!! And we're supposed to deal with that and love that!? Hardly! Relationships = give and take, not take, take, take. I think that's a lesson it takes men longer to learn than women, unfortunately. | |||

| Heya Minbin! I have dated 2 guys who were that way and I really chalked it up to them be too immature to really want to be in a relationship. If you would rather be playing with your computer than playing with me... there is something seriously wrong! Hopefully your 4 days away will help him see what he's missing when he pulls these all day play stints! | |||

| LMFAO! That journal entry was hilarious! HAHAH! Love it!
Yes, we ARE bad! I've had a hankering for Taco Bell for about 5 weeks now. That fact that I haven't caved yet speaks volumes to my change in attitude and healthy choices. But on days like this... days like today where I'm hung like a pig and just want grease, Taco Bell just calls my name. Mmmm cheese fries. BUT... instead I sit here with my giant bottle of water thinking I should go make a protein shake! LOL |

Froth - Hmmm.... a little alcohol to fix my hangover? I may have to consider that. PS I just read back through the thread and now I am DYING for cheese fries. Oh god, oh baby, oh yum! :P |

| I just saw this link in WillowRaven's journal and have only read the first few postings so far, but I LOVE THIS IDEA! I am totally starting a paper clip chain on my office wall at work.
Step One - finish reading this thread. Step Two - Put 20 paper clips together for what I've lost so far! SWEET!! |
