Original Post by bradpittishot: oh no no no i hold my "moulin rouge" soundtrack strong and proud. second best movie of all time (in my opinion). i also have to add to my list. FALL OUT BOY. i have to admit that i enjoy their pop-wannabe-punk-radio-loving music. but i do absolutely detest the actual band. pete wentz is probably the most annoying person ever. i don't even understand why he's so popular. |

| Young Calorie Counters | how old were you? | Dec 15 2007 22:29 (UTC) |

i was 19 (i think. may have been 18 but i don't think so). it was with my boyfriend, who i'm still with now, and i just knew that we were in love and it was the right time and he wasn't pressuring or anything like that. i think you'll just know. if you feel like it's right......like, if you don't have any doubts at all, then i think you'll be ok. but if you have to tell yourself, "well, i guess i should..." then i wouldn't recommend it. you just don't want to regret it, you know? |

Original Post by terroristcakes: a friend of mine used to think that "i'm sorry, miss jackson" was "anonymous jackson". we were singing it in the car one day and she busts out with that, and everyone just kinda looked at her like, "what the hell did you just say?" andre 3000 would have punched her. |

Original Post by shadowmystika: starbucks does offer the light versions of the mocha frap. it's 140 calories for a tall, no whipped cream, and it's pretty tasty. it's not something to have all the time, but every once in a while to get that fix, you know? |

| maybe you should tell her that you're not on a diet and you're just trying to eat healthy. sometimes the word "diet" can have such negative connotations. | |||

twiggy, you're absolutely right on the calories thing and i apologize for saying that. but, you did say that you'd "rather be skinny than 'healthy' (as you so call it) any day." regardless of whether you meant it about appearances or not (because that's not what i meant either), i think the fact that you'd overlook your health to suit how you look is not healthy. again, this is my opinion. |

Original Post by twiggy_twangdoodles: "healthy" is not only about how you look. "healthy" is about giving your body vitamins and nutrients and all of that stuff that keeps you alive. it's not only about the calories. i really doubt that at 300 calories your body is getting what it needs in terms of nutrients. i think that the longer you keep your body deprived of all that, the worse you're going to look. |

Original Post by giggle_puppy: you're absolutely right between their being a fine line between arrogance and confidence. however, i would NEVER use the word cocky to define confidence. and no offense, buddy, but i think that what you just described is more cocky than confident. confidence is about being secure in who you are and being humble enough to accept that you're not the best thing out there, but that you are great. cockiness (to me at least) is the complete opposite: being insecure in something to such an extent that you have to make it known to everyone that you're the best at everything. |

Original Post by kindoflikesarah: lol i know what you mean, but i've been obsessed with this song since i was like 14. i heard a snip of it in the trailer for "cruel intentions" and i was like, "whoa! what is that song?!" and i bought the soundtrack but it wasn't on it :( then i heard it in that movie "the craft" but it wasn't the original. and then i finally got my own computer for christmas when i was 16, and the first thing i did was download the original (i didn't know it was by the smiths until then). |

Original Post by terroristcakes: LOL you poor thing. last week i had to write a 2000 word research paper that i had the whole semester to do. i wrote it in an hour. i was exactly like that part of "old school" when will ferrel is in the debate and gives this awesome answer and then passes out or something after. i studied a good amount for my psychology of consciousness final, and i think i did well on it. my psychology of adolescence final....didn't open the book, but i think i did well on it. although last night i dreamt that i only got one right on the test lol. i hope not! |

it's not something that i do all the time, because when i do i get totally obsessed, but i knit. i've gotten pretty fast at it. i made like two scarfs in an hour and forty minutes for my aunt before she left for a trip. interestingly enough, i live in miami, so i have absolutely NO use for all the scarves that i've made. |
