physically, 1800. CC tells me that my BMR is about 1400, so I figure I am eating about 200 calories above that. |

Thanks for the above posters! Just to clarify, however... I eat 1800 with daily exercise, so my daily calorie intake per day is around 1600 tops. |

| I usually eat about two hours before I work out. If it's any sooner than that I get bad side stitches. | |||

| If you're trying to make food just for yourself, try buying some loose produce in very small portions. I like snap peas, but they're so expensive! (3.29 lb). However, if I go to the one store, they sell them loose so I can get just enough for one serving and spend only 50 cents. Have to plan, though, of course. I also like eating yams. Relatively cheap and the larger ones will feed you for two or three servings. |

| Because I CAN. :-D Also because I want to be able to do karate again without feeling faint after 20 minutes. |

| If you've been taking Midol for a while, that might do it. You may have simply built up a resistance to the meds. Bad pain with exercise has happened to me before, too! Even though most people say it's supposed to help... |

| Good job, gbchriste! I tested for my orange belt in Tang Soo Do (renegade off-shoot of TKD), and it was awesome... although, come to think of it, it was also ten years ago. Keep up the karate, it just gets more awesome every day! As for my fitness accomplishment, I ran 3.1 miles (a 5k) on the treadmill in 32:40. That smashes my previous record of 2.5 miles in 27:00. :-D |

| I gained 30 pounds moving off-campus my senior year of college... for the first time in my life I actually had some friends to go out to eat with (sad, I know). But yeah... I gained a lot.... on the plus side, it started coming off after I ditched going out to eat 3 times a week! | |||

| You might be eating too little. If you are eating 1600 calories a day but burning 400-500, that puts you just about the minimum number of calories. Try upping to 1800 and see what happens. :) | |||

| Were you wearing most of your clothes on the doctor's scale? If you were, you should shave a few pounds off of 135. :-) You might want to try snacking on fruit. It's sweet and relatively low-calorie. |

| Weight Loss | So Guilty, I feel Sick | Dec 16 2007 10:49 (UTC) |
|
| Well... I've found that sometimes indulging in X amount of calories can actually be GOOD for my weightloss... it will "shock" me into losing a bit of weight! But I am short and don't have much to lose... so that might be a factor too. At any rate, don't worry about it too much! | |||
| Weight Loss | How much do you usually lose in a month? | Dec 16 2007 03:11 (UTC) |

| About... 3 pounds. *tear* I don't have too much to lose and I'm short, so it's taking FOREVER. | |||
| Weight Loss | Buffet for lunch tomorrow !!! | Dec 10 2007 03:12 (UTC) |

| Depending on how tall you are/how much you weigh now I think you should just eat the buffet! :-) I'm kind of short and small (I need to lose about 8 more pounds), and I've found that eating above what I should be eating sometimes makes me lose a few pounds. :) | |||

| I feel your pain! I go to my college gym... nobody who actually needs to work out goes there, just skinny girls who are obsessing about weight... They probably think I'm such a nerd. *sigh* But I suck it up. :-) You should too! The gym is good! |

| I'm about 5' 1". Trying to get back down to 120 from 148 (I'm 130 now!) I usually eat 1400 calories per day, more when I work out, which is usually every day. Every once in a while I throw caution to the wind and just eat whatever. I usually save 200 calories for ice cream, too! Currently eating Chocolate Cherry Cordial frozen yogurt. :-) |

| It's kind of a pain... I started losing weight at the start of the summer and had to get a lot of new stuff... now I've lost 2/3 of it, just enough that my new clothes (10/12) are too big but my old clothes (4/6) are too tight! :-( | |||

| Hehe, actually, being hungry isn't the problem. I enjoy cooking, make healthy food, etc., so I rarely have a hunger problem. I'm just wondering if I am eating enough for proper weightloss. I just don't want to eat too little and stop losing weight! | |||
