That's about correct. When you start to plateau take a week break then hop back where you started but without using machines. Do the same exercises with dumbbells. You'll really notice your toning come back and you'll break the plateau. |

Although you may lose some weight fast in the beginning it will be water weight and a few pounds from fat. To continue turning your body into a fat burning machine it's chemistry needs a sufficient amount of calories for energy alone (ie. you prob burn about 500-1000 calories a day for your organs to function). By denying your body these calories you body still thinks it is in "starvation mode" and will hold back from burning additional fat and use it for energy reserve. You may still see weight comming off but it will be nothing compared to the weight you could lose if you eat and excersise properly. Instead of eating 3 nutrishious meals a day, include an additional 2 (small snacks in between fruit/ veggies/ grains) to keep your body believing it is constantly getting food. These additional calories are good for you because they are not empty calories found in sugary desert foods , white starchy carbs or salty chips. I have been eating 200-500 cal less then my daily goal on any given day and the weight has been FLYING off. Good luck. oh and PS..this is not a diet, its a new way of life. ;) |

| HA! GOOD LUCK! just kidding,,, There are healthy things on the ship, ive been on a few. But there is just SOOOOOOO MUCH FOOOD! and you can eat whenever you want! My advice...find the gym on the ship and everytime you feel hungry hit it up, follow up with the fruit and salad bar. Or option 2..enjoy your vacation and get back on track when you get home. | |||

| Hi Amy Jo,
I am in a similar situation as you are. Throughout HS and even some years past I have always been slim, muscular and very active. Im now 29 years old and although I dont "look fat" I believe im over weight. I also get winded easy (probably due to smoking). So anyway... Today I woke up and hopped on the scale and I couldnt believe my eyes..230 LBS! I got so pissed but at the same time so motivated. I threw my full pack of ciggs away and put on my Ipod and hit the ground running. Im trying to get down to 190ish so I also am looking to lose the same amount of weight in that time period. I havnt surfed in over 2 years and I would love to get back in the water. So I say YES you can do it. And although i dont live by you i can be your online support. I am detoxing today..only water and excercise. Flushing out the lactic acids in my muscles and getting my blood CO levels back to normal from the stupid ciggs. Patrick |

Also 1/2 cup of oatmeal fills me up and keeps me full |

| Weight Loss | Hoodia information.... for anyone taking it or thinking of trying! | Jan 12 2007 22:57 (UTC) |

| I recently tried Hoodia..it works for me. Really supresses those hunger cravings especially during eating or snack times. MAKE SURE TO USE A CERTIFIED COMPANY. I used Hooditrim.com. They post the certificate on the website and also send you a copy with your order. Do not skip meals though if you do starve yourself you will eventually binge.
