livestrong.com lets you map it and tells you how many calories you burned depending on how long it took, etc.  (great tool!)

resistance bands are lightweight and easy to carry around.  You could use them while reading/studying, or when you need to take a breather.  Even 5 to 10 minutes here and there will make you feel better and likely give your brain an energy burst.  When I was in my final semester I would do a 30 minute stretching DVD or use the resistance bands as a break from manic writing.  it really helped to reenergize and keep from getting too stale.  good luck!

One of my best freinds is 6' 1'' and and she gets comments ALL the time.  "Wow, youre tall...do you play basketball?".  If she only had a nickel for every time someone said this! haha.  Eventually she just started responding by asking "No. do you play miniature golf?" hahaha I love that.

The worst part of a misunderstanding between pescetarianism and vegetarianism:

When the veggie meal you order looks completely vegetarian, but in fact contains fish sauce.  I can deal if I get a piece of fish - at least I know not to eat it.

Fish sauce--yuck!

I blame the birth of my brother when I was six. haha. If you look at my first grade picture compared to my second grade picture, its obvious that I should have been an only child for the sake of my waist!

I'm an emotional eater.  And I am often overly emotional.  Therefore I often overly eat.   I lost 100lbs out-thinking my emotions, but with happy relationships (BF love) comes happy eating emotions that are hard to deny!

Gained 15lbs recently and now I'm trying to lose 25.  Oye. it never ends.

(Now that I look all of this over, I think I can sum it up: men.  Yes, I blame men for obesity.  hahaha.  (just kidding guys))

Foods Need help choosing restaurant menu items! Jul 10 2008

restaurants do that all of the time.  They make a low fat section, but really the food in that section is merely lower fat than the rest of the menu.  not necessarily low fat.

Instead of oil spray for sauted veggies I either use low sodium veggie broth or balsamic vinegar.

As a bread moistener (aka instead of mayo) I either use either vegenaise or tomato paste.  vegenaise isn't all that good for you, so I ususally use tomato paste.

Instead of parmesean I use nutritional yeast with a little bit of finely crumbled walnuts.

Instead of salt: kelp sprinkles.

instead of soy sauce: bragg's liquid aminos.

When I'm craving sweets, I have a few carob chips.  mmm mmm.

Instead of butter on veggies I squeeze a lemon over them - delicious!!! on green beans is especially amazing.
